Benjamin’s Recent Updates
|
"Beautiful. It started strong, and got better and better.
Lindesfarne and Durham Cathedral are now definitely in my future. Reminded me of Cloud Atlas (which I love), but with more heart." |

"Fucking Ace.
Tried a couple of years ago; couldn’t get into it. Read it in one sitting. Couldn’t stop. " |
|
|
"Was it the County Durham references and the local dialect? Was it the underdog story that had me cheering for John-John? I don’t know, but I do know I loved it! "

"A really fascinating and ground breaking novel; this is only the second book by this author that I have read, but he is a truly original writer and stylist. I particularly liked the ‘echoes’ of characters occurring and reoccurring throughout the time"

“And after all there are only a few things truly worth fighting for: freedom, of course, and all that it brings with it. Poetry, perhaps, and a good glass of wine. A nice meal. Nature. Love, if you're lucky. And that's about it.”

I am really excited that I have discovered Benjamin Myers. Now if I can only find a way to buy his books so that he gets paid! Beastings is on Amazon, but Turning Blur and Pig Iron are only available through used book dealers. I hope Bluemoose Booke still has copies for sale.
