THE SECRETS OF SHADOW HILL SERIES IS COMING BACK!!

I've missed you all!!

What a year!  I have been so excited and surprised by the overwhelming amount of emails and love for THE WIFE and A BROKEN FAIRY TALE series this past year.  Some of you may have been wondering where I've gone.  This past year was filled with changes in our lives that left me needing for focus on family and education and take a hiatus from writing.  This past year I also was able to get my rights back for my Secrets of Shadow Hill series from my publisher and I've spent the past six months reworking the series and was able to use my amazing editors to help make the books even better than before!  I am so excited for everyone to read the series again or meet these magical characters for the first time!

I have also started work on a new novel that is tearing my heart out, but is something I am very proud of.  While I don't have the time to write the same way I did when the kiddos were all little, this novel will definitely be worth the wait!

Be sure to follow me on FB and Twitter because there will be lots of giveaways come September!! For now, take a look at these beautiful new covers!!

THE WIFE IS LIVE!

Picture It's Here! My labor of love, THE WIFE is available on almost every platform you could imagine today!

I have been working on this novel for a while now, and have to say, I think it's my best yet.  It's my first true stand-alone, with characters that will make you think about life and fall in love.

THE WIFE is an emotional story about a woman in a marriage that makes her question herself and her husband.  It's a story that anyone who's ever been in a relationship can relate to, and certainly anyone who has ever been married's worst fears on paper.  It's a story that examines how decisions people make in their life can effect others in a very real way.  Secrets lead to lies, and love shrivels away, leaving Alexa trying to save any piece of her family that is left.

Read and Share Book Reviews said,"This book was emotional, raw, scary, suspenseful and heartwarming. All in one book! Really could a reader ask for anything more?"

THE WIFE will be on sale for $0.99 until the end of the month, so grab it while you can at this steal of a price!

HIS JAR OF HEARTS is LIVE!!

Picture Joey McMIllian, if you were real, I'd be in trouble! LOL

I loved writing this book and am so excited for all of you to finally have the chance to as well!  Today is a bitter sweet day because it marks the end of a series that I am so proud of.  HIS JAR OF HEARTS focuses on Joey McMillian, a sexy, hot, rich, fireman who grabbed my heart in WISHED AWAY. After watching his friends lose love and find it again, and after he loses his best friend, he realizes that there is more to life then going from woman to woman with no attachments.  He WANTS to be attached...and he knows the girl he wants to be with.  The only trouble is convincing her he has changed his ways. His friendships with Cam, Holden, Jess, and Gage is at the center of this romance, and they are a group of friends that I wish were real, because they are quite simply awesome!

I can't wait to hear what you all think and am still trying to think of a way to get another book out of this group of friends, because they are way too fun to give up!

Happy Holidays, and Happy Reading!

His Jar of Hearts (A Broken Fairy Tale)

The release date for HIS JAR OF HEARTS (A Broken Fairy Tale, 3) is going to be December 11, 2014!  (The crowd cheers!) LOL.
I can't wait for you all to read  this book! Each book in the series is so special to me, yet all different.  All of the books in the series follow the same close group of friends, but each book focuses on different members and a tragedy tey've had to navigate through.  In DUST TO DUST, Cam had a devastating past to confront, and was faced with a terrifying challenge once she finally faced her fears.  Through it all, she finds the healing power of love to help her make it out of the darkness and into the light.  In WISHED AWAY, Jess finds the love of her life, only to have everything tragically taken away. Over time she has to understand that moving on, doesn't mean she has to forget the magic of her past.
HIS JAR OF HEARTS is Joey's story.
If you've read the other books in the series, you know Joey is a sexy fireman, living a carefree life on the Jersey shore with plenty of women and money at his disposal.  However, after he lost his best friend, he began to reevaluate how he was living his life and decides to make changes.  The first step is to finally ask out the one girl who's been tugging at her heart strings for years, Kat Pierce.
Kat is a feisty, yet sensitive teacher who has known Joey since they were teenagers.  She knows of Joey's womanizing ways far too well, and has been through too much heart break to every give him a second thought when he'd flirt with her.  That was until he asked her out.
This book is far more than the usual second-chance love story.  It is filled with difficulty decisions, friendship, loyalty, and tragedy...it is a broken fairy tale after all.
I am looking forward to sharing this novel with you all, and again appreciate all of your positive support!  As always, remember to spread the word, write reviews, and keep reading!

WISHED AWAY IS HERE!

It has been the most excited few weeks with the release of WISHED AWAY!  I am blown away daily with the emails and messages my readers and the reviewers have been sending me!  Nothing means more to a writer than getting a message from a fan telling us how the book made you feel.

WISHED AWAY is an emotional book.  There were many times when writing it I cried...like ugly cried to the point where the Hubs or kids would look over at me like I was crazy. But as the author of the book, I wasn't sure if the feelings I was trying to convey would translate to my readers...and boy has it.  The messages I keep getting about the emotions and feelings people are feeling with this book have made me laugh and cry all at the same time!  WISHED AWAY is written from two POV's, and without giving too much away, I've been told that while most people have not read a book with POV's written this way, it is what has helped them connect to the book in a way that will leave you with a HEA instead of torn up to pieces.

Check out one of the many great reviews it's already getting!

Picture Even if you haven't read DUST TO DUST, WISHED AWAY is a book that will pull you in, make you FEEL, and leave you with hope.  If you've read it and liked it, tell your friends.  If you haven't give it a try.  I promise you will not regret it! Picture

Pre-release Nerves

Picture I've gone over my manuscript a thousand times, worked with my editor, had betas give me praise and suggestions, and here I sit, nervous as hell for the release of WISHED AWAY on August 5th.
WISHED AWAY is the 2nd book of my CR A Broken Fairy Tale series, but can also be read as a stand alone.  It's a much different book from my others and is written in a much different way than any than I have written, or any I have read.  It is a dual POV, but I want to leave what is so "different" about it as a surprise!

For me, writing has always been a very personal thing.  While I know my books aren't for everyone, and always appreciate constructive criticism, I am grateful that I haven't been torn apart the way I see happen to so many amazing authors...yet.  There are of course reviews that seem just plain mean, and that I don't understand.  As an avid reader myself, even before becoming an author, I always kept in mind that people who write our their heart and souls into their work, and are taking a risk by opening themselves up to others to bash.  I always hope that people who review books, whether they think it is just plain terrible or amazing, always remember that there is a way to communicate dislike politely rather than rudely.  One I received for DUST TO DUST said that she just couldn't stand my H feeling sorry for herself.  A part of me wanted to respond that if she read further, she would have seen my H was a victim of a violent sexual assault and trying to deal with the emotions of it, but of course I didn't because it's just not important.  People who have never experienced a violent attack or have been violated in any way, probably would have a hard time understanding the reasons people close themselves off emotionally, and being a survivor myself, I found it offensive, but had to pull back and understand that not everyone sees things the same way. Each and every one of my reviews I read and take anything I can from them. Even that one, I keep in my mind when writing, trying to make sure that I am balancing things.  Reviews should not only inform readers, but give feedback to writers to help them grow.  I know I certainly have from the reviews I've received.

I am hoping you all see the growth in my writing of CR, and fall in love with WISHED AWAY the way I have.  Be sure to add it to your TBR on Goodreads and be ready to one click on August 5th!  It will be on sale for one week ONLY!

WAR OF WIZARDS IS HERE!

Picture I can't even put into words how excited I am for everyone to read "WAR OF WIZARDS (Secrets of Shadow Hill, #3)!  It is the final book of my YA romantic fantasy series, and I honestly couldn't be more proud.  Each book of this series has been a very special journey for me.  When I wrote "Always and Forever" I never thought I was actually going to have it published.  It is a special book because I wrote most of it while pregnant with my twin daughters and it kept me sane while being stuck in bed.

When I wrote "The Prophecy", it was a year later, I had taken writing courses and participated in seminars and I feel like that book showed that I was growing as writer.  Now with "War of Wizards", I only hope that I have made the fans of the series happy, while creating an emotional and adventurous story.

When I think about how absolutely terrifying it was once my first book was published by Center One Books, I remember it was because I was worried about what everyone would think of me.  Would my family and friends automatically think that parts of the story were piece of my life? (Yes they did, and no, I don't write autobiographies).  Would people like the story I created?  Would reader criticize my work? All of those questions still rack my brain with each book I release, but I've learned to take in the good, and learn from the criticisms, and hopefully my writing shows that. Writing is a very personal thing, and I it takes a lot for authors to put ourselves out there the way we do.  But I can say one thing for sure, I am so glad I took the leap, got out of my comfort zone for once, and shot for the stars.

Now that THE SECRETS OF SHADOW HILL series is complete, my next two releases will be from my contemporary romance A BROKEN FAIRY TALE  series with "Wished Away" being released this August.  But I will then be returning to the YA fantasy genre and be writing some more books with characters you may already know:)  Thank you to everyone who has supported me, and for the new people who are just finding me; spread the word, write a review, and share the love, because nothing is better than word of mouth!

Lots of Love, and enjoy the book!

Books, Books, and More Books

What an amazing release I've had for "DUST TO DUST"!  Thank you all so much for your support, without it, I couldn't have gotten the word out as well.  I hope you will all continue to spread the love about my A Broken Fairy Tale series!!  Be sure to keep an eye out for the cover reveal for "WISHED AWAY" in a few months.  It is the second book in the series that will follow Jess and Dave.  It is a heart-wrenching story of true love, heartbreak, struggling with loss and the difficulty of moving on with life when all you want to do is hold on to the past.  Sounds good right?:)

Now for some other exciting news!!  The final book of my Secrets of Shadow Hill series, "WAR OF WIZARDS", will be out this May 27th!  Woot!  I can't tell you how incredibly proud I am of this book, and hope you will be surprised and excited to see how the series ends.  It has been a lot of fun putting together all the secrets that have been exposed in each book, and while some parts have been hard to write (many tears and chills in this one), I am beyond happy with the end result.  Secrets of Shadow Hill is my baby. I began writing "ALWAYS AND FOREVER" as a mental exercise while on bed rest with a pregnancy, and never dreamed four years later I'd be releasing the final book in the series. It is bitter sweet to see this series end, but I am already thinking of some great ideas for more paranormal romantic fantasy stories in the world of Shadow Hill!!  I will forever be grateful that Center One Publishing gave me the opportunity to follow my dreams!!

As always, it is your support that helps spread the word about my books!  Please continue to tell your friends, post reviews, and keep reading!
