James shared some details of the business with me via email…
Castaway was stuck at $4-6k MRR for a year while I was doing it as a side hustle.
I quit my job in December 2023 to go all-in on it (and a couple other projects) and now it’s up to $20,000 MRR spread across 11 clients… our current pace is a $250k run rate.
We’re adding 1-2 clients per month right now and turning probably 5-6 away because they aren’t a good fit.

LetterBoxedAnswers.com is a simple site someone created, revealing the answers to the puzzle each day.
The domain was registered in 2020, and despite still having a domain rating of 0, the site is now getting 400,000+ visitors per month (source) 
It’s monetized with Google display ads, and the official Adsense calculator reveals that it could be earning up to $7500/month.
We featured a similar site a while back, NYT Crossword Answers, which earns about $7800/month 
I asked ChatGPT for a list of other popular newspaper or magazine puzzles, see the response here.
Might be an opportunity to build a similar site focused on one of those.
Or you could try to compete with LetterBoxedAnswers.com (DR0, remember).
Plus, ChatGPT can probably solve these puzzles easily nowadays, no sweat to create the content

I was recently comparing cloud providers for a project, your classic monolithic app, db, redis, queues, etc.
It wasn’t super easy to compare all offerings. So I created a sheet to have an overview of all providers.
Long story short… I made a website out of it.
Over 10,000 people visit GetDeploying each month
It now generates $2.5k/mo, 97% profit…
it’s mainly [monetized with] sponsors, they all reached out to me via DMs or email
I suspect there could be a profitable site like that in many a different niche.

The Experience is catered to cruise ship visitors which come in daily here in Nassau, Bahamas.
Even if I only leave one day available per week, I usually have interested people reaching out to schedule custom jobs which I get to either accept or decline.
I think one of my strengths has been that I labeled the tour as a “family experience”, so I usually end up with groups of 3 or 4 each trip (so about $150-180 for the 3 hours) and it’s a different vibe to the usual food tours that abound.
We recently featured another Airbnb Experiences success story: a guy earning $68/hour offering London walking tours.

Ahsan has a few other “business plan” gigs listed on Fiverr and has apparently completed 2200+ orders in total.
Estimating a minimum gig price of $50, that means he’s earned at least $110,000 via the platform.
