A pretty new niche, low-competition, so seems to be simple to jump on that train for any designer

He includes a screenshot from his website bestsellingproducts.co

The site scrapes Gumroad and updates daily.

The goal is to help you…

Find high-performing digital products, analyze digital trends and earn more!

It’s a nice site to browse and find ideas

Back to “templates for invoices” and a quick search on Etsy shows that there is indeed a market for that, with several templates racking up 10k+ reviews.

Probably hard to compete in that niche on Etsy, but I suspect it’s much easier on Gumroad

I’ve always been frustrated by those ancient FAQ sections lurking at the bottom of websites, stuck in 1999. That frustration led me to build a tool that leverages AI to create world-class FAQ sections in a few clicks.

Sounds like most sales came via the affiliate program.

The interesting trend here is using AI to build “embeddable” website elements

There are a bunch of website chatbots like this, testimonial collections tools, even DropInBlog ($1M ARR in 2022).

Atom Branding & Identity Contests: $202 Per Win

Annie isn’t a real person. She’s simple represents someone participating in Branding & Identity Contests on Atom.

Atom is a website that helps people name and brand their businesses.

Annie would be considered a “creative” on the platform. She’d enter branding and identity contests – by submitting designs and logos – and get paid if her entry was picked as a winner.

To understand the potential earnings, I reviewed 59 recent winners of branding and identity contests on Atom and calculated their prize money.

On average, each contest awarded $202 to the winner.

However, as you can see in the screenshot below, there’s usually a lot of competition for each contest…

With so many entries, winning a contest can be challenging.

Still, certain names appear frequently among the winners.

Plus, the Atom leaderboard shows that some folks have earned $10,000+ via contest wins.

Artie doesn’t really exist. He’s our avatar to represent a typical person participating in Naming Contests on Atom.

Atom is a website that helps people name and brand their businesses.

Artie would be considered a “naming creative” on the platform. He’d enter naming contests and get paid if one of the names he suggested was picked as a winner.

I looked at 58 recent winners of naming contests on Atom and calculated how much money they won.

The average prize money worked out to $195 per contest.

However, there can be a lot of competition for each contest…

Given that there’s so much competition, it can be tough to win a contest.

However, I’ve seen the same winners pop up over and over, so clearly there’s a winning strategy.

Plus, the Atom leaderboard shows that a few people have earned more than $10,000 via contest wins.

I noticed that while there were AI art generators on the market, none focused specifically on anime. This was an opportunity to fill a niche that was being overlooked…

Key Takeaway: Find a specific gap in the market and focus on building something that satisfies that unmet need.

Perhaps this could also work for niches adjacent to anime.

Eg. comic book style or line drawing

It can generate YouTube reaction face thumbnails but that’s not its main focus and it doesn’t do a great job

The founder is Jason Chan, self-described on his website…

21y/o. Med student by day, building AI SaaS startups by night.

He also lists the revenue of memo.cards there as $27,000 per month

700k visits to the site last month (source) so that sounds about right.

Best I can tell, Jason initially built the app to help himself study for medical school.

There were a lot of flashcard apps out there already, but he focused on a target market he knew well and used AI to simplify the card creation process

I made my first $35 on X after roasting landing page design for free for almost a month.

That’s not a 15min job, it’s probably 5-8 hours of hard work put in for that specific website.

And here she is more recently selling $8000 and $9157 design projects

Seems one key is her target market: serial VC founders rather than indie founders.

Oh, and it’s not like Li is huge on X, only ~8000 followers

So she ground it out in the beginning, showcasing her expertise every day on X and taking whatever paid projects she could get.

And within a year she’s earning $30,000 in a single month
