USA Today bestselling author Jane Blythe writes action-packed romantic suspense and military romance featuring protective heroes and heroines who are survivors. One of Jane's most popular series includes Prey Security, part of Susan Stoker's OPERATION ALPHA world! Writing in that world alongside authors such as Janie Crouch and Riley Edwards has been a blast, and she looks forward to bringing more books to this genre, both within and outside of Stoker's world. When Jane isn't binge-reading she's counting down to Christmas and adding to her 200+ teddy bear collection!

I have not taken any formal courses in creative writing, but I've always been interested in writing and was lucky enough to have a successful writer as a teacher in school one year and he gave me tons of useful advice. To write a book you need to have a really good idea of your story, including detailed three-dimensional characters, and then get to work on fleshing out that story idea, then get to work writing! With lots of practice, and lots of work, you'll get that first book written. Try not to get discouraged along the way, writing a book is a big challenge, but absolutely totally worth it!! And always keep reading, the more you read the better you understand storytelling! (less)

Flash Fiction - Liam carried Cara out of the horror show place and carefully put her in his car & drove her to the hospital

"Police! On the ground!" a voice yelled.

Loudly.

Too loudly.

"Its Graham and Liam," the man who had been untying her yelled back, and she assumed he must be Graham since Liam had flung his body protectively over hers the second the room went completely dark.

For Cara just staying awake was enough work, so she didn't bother listening to the voices as they spoke in hard angry tones, but she hoped Li Read more of this blog post »

Jane Blythe, Deadly Risk

“I’m going to tell you a really important lesson I learned after Emily died. I thought I knew what it was to be part of a team. I was in the army, joined Delta, I trusted my team with everything, and knew they had my back no matter what. Then I lost my wife and was the sole parent to a newborn. Lolly was my responsibility, and I took that seriously. I tried to juggle everything myself. Funeral arrangements, caring for Lolly, taking care of the house, laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, midnight feeds, and a colicky baby. I thought I had to do it all and didn’t want to accept help from anyone. You know what eventually happened?” “What?” “I crashed. Two months after Lolly was born, I was cooking dinner, lay down for just a moment, and woke up an hour later to someone hammering on my apartment door. Dinner burned which set off the smoke detectors, the fire department came, and I realized that raising my daughter wasn’t a mission I could undertake without my team. I needed my parents, needed Bear and the rest of Alpha team, needed Prey and the Oswalds. So, I reached out for help.”
Jane Blythe, Lethal Risk

“You're a man who has made mistakes, who hasn’t always done the right thing, even done some things you're ashamed of, but in the end you are a good man. Remember that and move forward, don’t forget that if there are parts of yourself you don’t like, you can change them. Become better, do better, expect better of yourself. Be the person you want to see looking back at you in the mirror.”
Jane Blythe, Saving Eric
