The Last Prophet (2011)
Would you believe it if someone told you that you were one of the last two prophets mentioned in the book of Revelation? It is the End of Days. The power of the Antichrist and his grip on humanity grows stronger with each passing day, enabling him to deceive the world and entice humanity into joining him in his corruption, and in his eternal punishment. With the help of the False Prophet, the Beast persuades many to fall down and worship him, also forcing them to take his mark.
When someone tells John March that he has been chosen by God to become the last of the two prophets mentioned in the book of Revelation, he doesn’t believe it. After a visitation by an angel followed by a miraculous sign however, he becomes convinced that it is true and decides to embrace his calling, despite learning that doing so will lead to his untimely death. March begins his mission by proclaiming God's message: that the End of Days is at hand, to beware the growing power and influence of the Beast, and to know that the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is imminent.
Supernatural disasters, including a worldwide drought, rivers of blood, massive earthquakes, and a devastating asteroid, testify that the end of the world is at hand. Join John March on his journey to becoming, The Last Prophet.

The Dark Age- Survivors of the Pulse (2011)
Suppose you learned that an ancient prophecy about an artifact, said to be powerful enough to dramatically change the world, was true. Would you risk everything to find it? It has been five-hundred years since the Pulse caused the Great Collapse, ending the Golden Age, and civilization on planet Earth. Humanity has waited ever since for a long-anticipated sign from God, which has finally appeared in the night sky. The time has come for Ferrell Young, the Warrior Clan, and the Church to risk everything in an effort to restore civilization, and bring hope to a world full of despair.
Alex Montgomery is an archaeologist who has spent many years looking for a mysterious book on behalf of the Holy Christian Church. The book is said to contain the location of the Great Oracle which, according to legend, can endow the one who finds it with great power and wealth. Of much greater importance to the Clan and the Church however, is the fact that it may also enable the world to emerge from five centuries of darkness and suffering.
When a powerful, intelligent, but sadistic barbarian leader named Kraken learns of the Oracle, he plans to destroy the Warrior Clan and the Church, take the Oracle for himself, and enslave the rest of humanity.
Join Ferrell and his companions as they set out on a desperate journey to find the Great Oracle, and rescue humanity from The Dark Age.

The president calls upon Dr. James White to lead a group of scientists and theologians in an effort to develop a plan that will offer humanity a second chance at civilization. Blogger Book Fair Presents: Through the Crimson Mirror
Tired of Your Children’s Bad Attitude:Back Chatting, Fighting, Whining…?
Would you like to:gain the respect you deserve?reclaim your relationships with your children?build a happy, harmonious home, free from fighting?give your children the best start to life?protect your child?
About the Book
Communication and relationship experts say that communication should be a two-way street. For many years however, society adopted the attitude of “children are to be seen, not heard.” This has had a profound effect on our ability to build relationships today, often resulting in children who backchat, fight and whine. Sound familiar…?To help you better understand your children you need to turn things around and look at life from their point of view. This helps you improve your understanding of their feelings, attitudes and thoughts, so you can give them the best start to life and create the happy, harmonious home you’ve always dreamed of.
Much research and professional input went into writing the latest breakthrough-parenting book Through the Crimson Mirror. Many interviews were conducted including those with psychologists, psychiatrists, teachers, children, parents, reformed drug addicts and alcoholics, people who work with children who have learning challenges such as ADHD and dyslexia, and many more.
Through the Crimson Mirror is unique. It shares all the lessons the author wishes he’d learned while growing up, wrapped in a story. This makes it easy to read and interesting for parents, young adults and book readers.

"The author came to visit our school and spoke with our 4th and 5th grade classes … As she was discussing how and why she wrote certain passages (from The Christmas Village), we all became hooked on the story. There was a mad dash to our school library to borrow the one copy of this book. Not only is the story great, but the writing is vivid. The author's writing style has you caught up in the story, you feel like you are there. There is plenty of suspense that makes it hard to put the book down. The ending is wonderful.”
“The characters are beautifully developed and feel like friends. When you reach that last page it is ever so hard to say goodbye.”

Indie-Fever! "Awake" Review - free Kindle version
It’s time again for an indie book review for b00k r3vi3wsIndie Fever Reading Challenge 2013. Today, I have the opportunity to review Awake, a horror story by Matthew Blake.
Awake is a decent story about a successful novelist, Lee, who has a rare, genetic and fatal insomnia disorder. Once he learns that the disorder is incurable, he decides to purchase an RV and go traveling across the country with a best friend. After picking up a couple of “hot” hitchhikers, the four enjoy the tourist’s life with an unlimited budget – Lee’s dying, so why not enjoy his stored loot? Only, along the way, a demon follows in pursuit, taking over seemingly unaware tourists, and gives him demonic stares. This, of course, freaks out the writer. Lucky for him and his best friend, the hitchhikers are perfect mates, and Lee now has his soulmate by his side while traveling the sites, trying to get in enough sleep to keep going, dreams of the demon in pursuit when he does sleep, and viewing the demon at almost every stop.
The characters and dialog are realistic; however, the repetitive nature of the story goes on for too long. It makes you think that this is a buddy traveling story, not quite what I was expecting. I was also not sure why Lee remains so terrified of the demon who does nothing but takes over the form of a tourist and glares at him. Though the nightmares are sufficiently scary, at least I feel I’d be scared if it was me having them, they are very short. The other worlds Lee happens into is another good sidetrack of the story, that should, instead, be the main part. The demon and Lee’s disorder have very little to do with the story at least for half of the book, again being a buddy traveling book.
The ending has a sufficient amount of action, though the resolution seems a bit too un-supernatural. All-in-all I did enjoy the characters.
Awake is available in print for $10.40 and free for Kindle at: Amazon
It bothers me that this review seems more negative than I intend. I enjoyed the read and continued to think about it and what was going to happen, which drew me back to it each time. I’m not too much into horror, so that this book did not have very much horror wasn’t an issue. I’m glad I’d read this book.
Until next time! Have a wonderful weekend.

After-a-long-haul Celebration
After many trials and tribulations, and looking forward to going on her what could be her last camping trip, my mom got everything she needed to leave for camp this morning, including a van, a hitch for the trailer, her inverter, her oxygen, and all the tests she needed before she leaves. Whoopee for her! Definitely a grand celebration for VikLit’s Celebrate the Small Things weekly blog hop. Pray that all goes well and is stress free for her.
I’m also celebrating because the Book Blogger Fair starts Monday and I've already scheduled all my posts for the authors I’m promoting. :) It’s great to get things done early! Make sure you check out all the events going on over there.
Although I didn’t make it into Write Club, I made a couple of changes to my piece and am submitting it to anthologies. I still think it’s a wonderful and emotive story.
See you this weekend!
