There and Back Again…

I’ve been on the road so much recently, my poor little blog has been very neglected. So here’s the scoop about what’s been going on!

I was in Germany for a week, thanks to my DayJobbe! Here’s a shot of Heidelberg:

Four days after I returned home, I hopped on another plane and was off to GayRomLit in Chicago. GRL was a blast, as always. And here I am, being utterly professional to Madison Parker during the Supporting Author signing:

A Road Trip, A Meetup, and a Starred Review!

Wow, I haven’t updated in a while, have I?

So, I’ve been on the road a lot. Since my last post, I’ve been to Detroit to see Thirty Seconds to Mars and Linkin Park. Then I went toLos Angeles and met up with LA Witt, her hubby, and Cat Grant for the screening of Artifact, tooled around Hollywood, then… saw Thirty Seconds to Mars and Linkin Park. Yes, again. Yes, lots of Mars this summer.

But it was the Hollywood Bowl! I couldn’t pass that up. And OMG, the seats I had. Well, see for yourself:IMG_1970

Yup....

Throwback Thursday WIP

For Throwback Thursday, I give you snippet from a WIP that I haven’t touched in two years, tentatively titled Season of Kings.

Summer ached in my bones at nine in the morning and the scent of sun-warmed earth mixed with sharp smell of coffee as I walked down Murray Avenue. The 61c Cafe had its doors open. Not surprising. It was seventy and sunny. The temperature would rise into the low eighties.

It was only the vernal equinox. Summer had come too early.

A shudder ran through me. In the six and a...

Where I’ve been (Interviews, Giveaways, Posts, etc.)

Just a quick post to not where I’ve been since Takeover came out!

I blogged about GayRomLit over at LoveBytes, and included a giveaway.
I was interviewed over at Prism Book Alliance, and there’s also a giveaway there.
I have a guest post about how I came to write m/m up at Gigi’s Book Blog!

There are a few more places I’ll be, too. I’ll update as they come out.

And a huge huge Thank You to everyone who has read and reviewed Takeover! I really appreciate it! I know how precious time is, and taking...

Release Day for Takeover!

Today is the release day for Takeover, my M/M office romance! *throws confetti*

Here are the details!

Cover for Takeover by Anna ZaboMichael Sebastian thought Curacao would be the perfect place to have a little fun in the sun–and between the sheets. So far, no one has struck his interest, until Sam Anderson walks into the bar. With one look at his tense body and expensive suit, Michael knows that this is a man in need of release. And Michael is more than willing to lend a hand.

Shattered by the most intense sex he’s ever had,...

Winner! And what the heck am I up to?

Winner!

First! I never drew a winner for the Taste the Rainbow blog hop post… mostly because I was off at RWA and that screwed up my schedule.

So! Random.org says the winner is poster 11, which is sherry1969! I’ve emailed you. Congrats!

What’s going on with you, Anna?

Second…I’ve been asked quite a bit if I plan to ever write a sequel to Close Quarter?

Short form: YES. yes. At least one. Probably two, because Silas and Rhys aren’t done and won’t shut up. And then there a book for Vasil, lovely Vas...

There have been so many things that have inspired me to write LGBTQ fiction, but I think the one that sticks in my mind the most was my first term at grad school for my MFA. As part of the program, those graduating gave thesis readings. Now, the thesis was a fully ready for submission genre novel, so the thesis readings were 50 minute long sessions where the author talked a bit about why this novel and then read for about...

Another tiny snippet of Just Business

I should probably post this on WIP Wendnesday, but hey, let’s call it Snippet Saturday instead:

I want to get to know you. Beyond work, beyond play.

Favorite flavor of ice cream. Best album. Comfort movie. Not being dead like Noah.

Justin wasn’t Noah, he wasn’t like Noah. But the feelings? Those were. The tickle of anticipation, the occasional moment of vertigo, the warmth in Eli’s chest when Justin smiled. So close it almost felt like he was cheating on those memories of Noah.
