Anna Zabo (they/them) writes contemporary and paranormal romance for all colors of the rainbow. They live and work in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which isn’t nearly as boring as most people think.

Anna is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns and prefers Mx. Zabo as an honorific.

Anna grew up in the wilds of suburban Philadelphia before returning to their ancestral homelands in Western Pennsylvania. They can be easily plied with coffee.

Anna has an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University, where they fell in with a roving band of romance writers and never looked back. They also have a BA in Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University.

I do have some more Takeover novels planned, but I'm taking a bit of a break to work on some other things. I love Sam's little cohort, but I also want to stretch my writing muscles with other characters and settings.

But yes, there are books coming! I should have one out in October '17 in Riptide Publishing's Bluewater Bay series, and there's some other things in the works that I can't quite talk about yet... but will mean at least two novels next year (2018).

I've also been working on a sequel to my first novel (Close Quarter), and I hope to re-release Close Quarter and the sequel either later this year or sometime next year.

In between, I'll probably do some short stories about the Takeover crew, because they are fun to write about, and I'm sure people wonder what they're all up to...(less)

I'm really enjoying listening to these (as a reread), even though I know what's coming for Levi and Dom. The narration is very good.

I do hope Kingsbridge has more for us, in terms of books, as she's an excellent writer.

Short read. Cute, but felt a little too short. Would have liked a little more depth, though, that's hard to achieve in what was basically meant to be a free sample read, as it were.

Would read more from the author, though!
More of Anna's books…
“I take it he was in the closet?"

"He might as well have been in Narnia.”
Anna Zabo, Takeover

“What a curious and handsome man Brian was! Full of wit, innuendo, and charm. No doubt Brian knew exactly what he was doing, the flirty thing that he was. Not a naive young man—he wanted Rob. That had been apparent from his cream comments. And yet, ex-girlfriends. But no negative quips about Todd or his husband. Or Sam Anderson’s little queer consulting firm above his head. Bi? Pan? Not that it mattered. Rob hadn’t come here to pick up a date—just a cup of coffee.”
Anna Zabo, Daily Grind

“And if we're talking flaws - I get a kick out of flogging people, then fucking them."

Warmth ran up Sam's spine. "That's a flaw?"

Michael grinned. "Only to some.”

Anna Oh man, I see the Marie Kondo meme has hit GR.

Folks, she didn't say "keep only 30 books". That's what she personally found that she kept. The idea is to, you know, curate your collection and give away/donate/sell what you don't want/need (for your value of want and need).

That's...normal. It's part of decluttering! What the heck is so awful about that? Heck, I have made raffle baskets for charity out of books I've picked up at conventions and later decided I'm never going to read!

She's not a cow. She's not a monster. FFS.

Nancy Hi Anna, I’ve read and enjoyed quite a few of your books Just discovered and finished Close Quarter. Liked it a lot. Will there be more because it read like there would, maybe Vasil’s story? Just bought the short prequel today.

Anna Hey there! For the readers out there, I just want to say that it's ABSOLUTELY OKAY to judge whether or not you want to read a book by its blurb and shelve is accordingly on GR.

Your GR account is yours.

Also, I've had people love my writing and nope out of books because of content or theme. THAT'S OKAY, TOO! I nope out of books for a variety of reasons myself. I don't get offended. Authors shouldn't.

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Readers are allowed to react to a book or blurb however they react to it. It's your right as a reader.

Anyone who tells you differently is full of it.
