Anna Zabo (they/them) writes contemporary and paranormal romance for all colors of the rainbow. They live and work in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which isn’t nearly as boring as most people think.

Anna is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns and prefers Mx. Zabo as an honorific.

Anna grew up in the wilds of suburban Philadelphia before returning to their ancestral homelands in Western Pennsylvania. As a child they were heartily disappointed to discover that they couldn’t grow up to be what they wanted (a boy, a cat, a dragon), so they settled on being themself whenever possible, which may be a combination of a boy, a cat, and a dragon. Or perhaps a girl, a knight, and a writer. Depends on whom you ask. They do have a penchant for colorful ti

I do have some more Takeover novels planned, but I'm taking a bit of a break to work on some other things. I love Sam's little cohort, but I also want to stretch my writing muscles with other characters and settings.

But yes, there are books coming! I should have one out in October '17 in Riptide Publishing's Bluewater Bay series, and there's some other things in the works that I can't quite talk about yet... but will mean at least two novels next year (2018).

I've also been working on a sequel to my first novel (Close Quarter), and I hope to re-release Close Quarter and the sequel either later this year or sometime next year.

In between, I'll probably do some short stories about the Takeover crew, because they are fun to write about, and I'm sure people wonder what they're all up to...(less)

More books by Anna Zabo…

As I walked to work today after voting, I ended up thinking about the singular they, since I was thinking about how the outcome of this US election will impact me as a non-binary person.

This is how my brain works sometimes. Tangents. I use they/them pronouns most of the time. The thing with the singular they is that there are folks who say its incorrect. That it’s two hard. That they don’t kno...

“What a curious and handsome man Brian was! Full of wit, innuendo, and charm. No doubt Brian knew exactly what he was doing, the flirty thing that he was. Not a naive young man—he wanted Rob. That had been apparent from his cream comments. And yet, ex-girlfriends. But no negative quips about Todd or his husband. Or Sam Anderson’s little queer consulting firm above his head. Bi? Pan? Not that it mattered. Rob hadn’t come here to pick up a date—just a cup of coffee.”

Warmth ran up Sam's spine. "That's a flaw?"

Michael grinned. "Only to some.”

Anna Hey there! For the readers out there, I just want to say that it's ABSOLUTELY OKAY to judge whether or not you want to read a book by its blurb and shelve is accordingly on GR.

Your GR account is yours.

Also, I've had people love my writing and nope out of books because of content or theme. THAT'S OKAY, TOO! I nope out of books for a variety of reasons myself. I don't get offended. Authors shouldn't.

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Readers are allowed to react to a book or blurb however they react to it. It's your right as a reader.

Anyone who tells you differently is full of it.
