The Good Peopleis released today in Australia, and to celebrate, my dear publishers at Picador, Pan Macmillan, have made the first chapter available to read for free here.

Designing the UK Cover
Picador UK recently spoke to Art Director, Rachel Vale, about how the beautiful cover design for the UK edition of The Good People came about.

Three years after the publication of Burial Rites, I am very pleased to announce that my second novel,The Good People, will be published in Australia and New Zealand on 27 September 2016 (Picador), and in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland on 9 February 2017 (Picador). Women of Letters Event
I have the great pleasure of being a guest at the upcoming Women of Letters event in Northcote, Victoria, this coming Sunday, alongside some extraordinary speakers.
Come along and hear ABC radio broadcaster Hilary Harper, singer-songwriter Emily Ulman, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre's Pamela Curr, comedian Laura Davis and myself each read 'A Letter to the Elephant in My Room'.

Upcoming Events in Canada
I'm thrilled to announce that I will soon be visiting Canada as a guest of the Calgary literary festival Wordfest (13-18 October), the Vancouver Writers' Festival (20-25 October)and the International Festival of Authors in Toronto (22 October - 1 November).

Northcote High School Event

This Thursday I will be talking on a panel alongside Stella Prize-winning Clare Wright, Tony Birch, Omar Musa and Simonne Howell at Northcote High School. The event, part of an inaugural Literary Talkfest for Northcote H.S., will be a discussion on 'Writing Women', and promises to be a wonderful night.
Funds raised will be used to support Northcote's Green Team and Feminist Collective, and there will be some excellent door prizes too.

Burial Rites in Translation Giveaways
