Strange Howls in the Sierras

Jim in California called in to tell of his Bigfoot experience in the Sierras:

“I never was pro-Bigfoot or against Bigfoot. I never passed judgement on it because I knew nothing about it. About two years ago. I have a remote cabin about 4,000 foot in the Sierras. I stepped out of my cabin one night about nine o'clock. It was two years ago in January and nine o'clock at night. And I'm out there looking at the stars and a howl, a holler came out by my neighbor's cabin which is about 200 feet just up the side of the sweat sites on a slight slope above me. And this howl, it was like no animal I have ever heard before. It was a long howl and the interesting thing about it was the voice. It was so big the creature had to be, like, I would say 600 to 800 pounds because of the volume that came out of the mouth. I'll tell you this, that, the voice box was so clean, so pure with that sound. That was part of the fascination about it and it was a long big set of lungs.

I went into my cabin and I got my 38. I wasn't afraid. And a flashlight. I just had to see what that was. So I went outside. I forgot that I got a fence up the hill so I couldn't see anything in front of this guy's house. But when I was outside, this creature come down the drive closer to my house, howled a couple more times and then ran off....because I could hear it. It then ran over the mountainside. Now what's interesting is about two weeks later, I hear this same pattern of howling but it sounds like there's about three of these creatures and it sounds like... I'm estimating, it's got to be this animal's kids because the volume wasn't there. The voices didn't have that deep adult sound. They sounded smaller. What was strange, they put out something that was like a giggle intermittently between their howls. (George asks if it was a hyena) I thought of that but, no. No, this.. I don't think that's the case. I don't think it was a wolf. We supposedly don't have wolves here. I'll tell you what, my neighbor came back about a week after this and the same young ones, it sounded like they were right at his house, same place.”

Brown-Cloaked Humanoid

This encounter happened many years ago. It is still a very vivid memory that has stuck with me for some time. I haven't shared

this encounter with many people, but this sub seems to be the perfect place.

I was 19 and had just moved into my first place, a basement suite in an older house. The landlord lived above with his wife and were very friendly folk. I hardly saw them other than the husband working in the back yard once in a while. The suite was completely isolated from the above house.

After a few days of settling in, I was dropping in and out of sleep one evening. I remember having terrible nightmares, possibly night terrors, but I vividly remember waking up and being alert, totally separate from the dreams. I jolted from the dream-state in a panic, and as I opened my eyes and gained my bearings, I saw to my horror a approximately 4 foot tall thing at the foot of my bed. This "creature" for lack of a better name was wearing a brown cloak, covering its entire body, except for the area where a face would be. But, Instead of a face, I saw scars. No eyes, no nose, no mouth, just scars. I remember to this day the terror I felt, how real this encounter felt. After a few seconds of trying to process this, I glanced away ever so slightly, then when I returned my gaze, the being was gone. I was soaked in sweat and sat in my bed for what felt like ages, trying to process this. I called a friend and woke them up, begging for them to come over or for me to visit them.

Stay Away From MIB!

I recently received the following account:

Sir,

I came across one of your articles where someone asked if it was OK to confront the MIB if you encounter them. I would not recommend it. I had two encounters with them and I do expect to have another.

They are very strange. I will not say they are agents from some government agency or from another "whatever". My encounter resulted from an incident that I had a few months earlier, but that is a whole different story that does not belong here.

My first encounter was at my home. They came to my front door. How they got past the security gate and cameras is beyond me, but they did it. The first thing they said to me when I opened the door was, "You did not see what you think you saw!"

It was obvious they were trying to intimidate me and this made me angry, I told them to get the "F" off my property and not come back. They said nothing, just turned slowly and walked away down my driveway.

Three weeks later I was driving down the highway in another state on a long straight section of the highway doing about 65 mph. A car came up next to me and as I looked at the car there they were. The passenger just sat there staring at me with no facial expression at all. I sped up to about 80 mph and they just pulled up next to me and stayed there. I basically slammed on my brakes, they just kept going, and to date I have not seen them again. I believe they were showing me they can find you whenever and whenever they decide to do so.

I did notice that they projected arrogance, uncaring emotions but mostly total INTIMIDATION. It was their attempt to intimidate me that made me angry because I have always refused to live under threats or perceived threats. However, I do think they are or could be dangerous. My advice to others is to just try to ignore them if possible, but be aware and be careful. HO

“One night while driving to work on an interstate (about 3 years ago) I watched a bright light come down from the sky almost like a helicopter and shined a light right into the cab of my truck. I was very scared, the smell of urine was so strong. At the same time a car came speeding past me erratically it was late so I couldn't see the car. Instantly I called a friend to tell her what happened as I was really scared. She told me to pull over and so I did into a gas station. It was about 10 pm. I parked and tried to regain myself. Then I saw this man pull up right in front of me. He looked like he stepped right out of the 50s black everything...car wheels windows, everything he had on was black but like a greaser. Hair quaffed sunglasses on I saw him and felt really odd he took my breath away as he looked right at me. I could feel very intimidated, and it was almost like no one else saw him. He went in the store and I never got out of my truck. I was too scared.

On his way back to his vintage all black car he never stopped glaring at me. I could feel it through his glasses. He gets in his car and I wait for him to leave. As I didn't want to chance him following me. He disappeared behind the gas station and never came out from the other side. I waited about 30 min, nothing. So I left. When I finally got to work, I sat in my truck terrified. It wasn't over. What I'm going to say next is very odd but I am telling you all what I saw.

It was about 11.30 pm by then, I noticed clouds over me about 200 feet away floating over and landing in the tops of trees parked right in front of me. A literal stones throw in front of me. I sat and watched, confused to say the least. I didn't notice anyone coming or going while I watched. By the time I got out of my truck over 5 hours had past, I had missed work but was in the parking lot. I'll never know but my face and shirt where soaking wet as if I was in tears the entire time. I felt a lot of things that night but sadness was not one. I haven't really told anyone this in fear it at happen again, or I would be ridiculed.”

Mysterious Being in Texas

Hearne, Texas (AP) A tall, mysterious creature appears appears to have begun trick-or-treating a week early, say police who have been getting reports about something leaping from rooftop to rooftop and gnawing on front porches. The creature also has reportedly reportedly torn screen windows and scared a dog, police Chief James Bundren said Wednesday.

"It's Halloween time and there might be a lot of creatures out there. Every now and then someone calls and says they they think they heard the creature." One resident told authorities last week that something about six feet tall chewed up his porch, screen and railing, Bundren said. The resident beard a noise at the front door during the night and went to investigate. When be opened the door, Bundren said, he saw the "image of a man, but it had a head that was chewing and slapping at the door."

The resident told police he quickly slammed the door. He looked out the window and saw his frightened dog running down the street. Bundren said the pet still has not returned.

Another resident told police she heard something large land on one side of her roof, walk to the other side and leap off the carport, be said. But police found no tracks around the house.

"It raised all kinds of commotion around here after that happened," he said, adding that calls are still coming in from people saying they have heard the creature. Bundren said police have no suspects, but that the first homeowner may have seen a man holding a large dog in front of him. - Index-Journal," October 24, 1985

“It was 18 years ago, leaving work. We saw the UFO, all four of us, just before noon time. And in like a flash it was night time. We were amazed because it happened so suddenly. The stars were... I never saw so many stars in my life. It was like they were so close and huge like we could reach out and touch them. There was a full moon to the left of us. And this craft was in front of the wharf, at the end giving off a glow. Scientifically minded, I walked up to the darn thing and what happened was, all of a sudden, the sun was breaking, like in mere moments, like under an hour. And then I went home.

My brother was with me and my two friends went to their respective places. My mother hollered. 'Where have you two been?' Because we were gone two days. So we were on board for the whole night – the day and the night. (Clyde asks what he saw on board) I'm not going to go into it but the evidence is... I was 5'11. When I came home, I was 5'9. Age 18. And my brother also reduced in size. And Wally and his girlfriend Jane. (Clyde asks if they removed a bone which caused him to become shorter). That I don't know but these investigators, they came twice. They said, 'We know more about you then you know about yourself.' (Clyde asks again about how they were shorter) Not just shorter but reduced in size, all the way around. They looked my size score and I was 5'11. They measured, you know, at the hospital. I couldn't believe it. I was in shock, my mother was in shock. All my friends were in shock. I had MRIs and I was never told that I had any bones removed. (Clyde asks if maybe they took pieces of the bone) That I don't know. And Wally... He was a small guy to begin with. His family was in such shock. Now they had just got through building their dream home and they were in such shock that the father said, 'We're moving. He said, 'Where are we moving to dad?' He said, 'Never mind, we're moving.' And he left.”

Irish Priest Calls For More Exorcists

Dublin, Ireland, Jan 24, 2018 / 11:08 pm (CNA).- An Irish priest and exorcist is asking the country's bishops for more support after noticing a dramatic increase in demonic activity in the country.

In a recent interview with The Irish Catholic, Fr. Pat Collins said he has been overwhelmed with the number of requests for exorcisms from the faithful in Ireland. In an open letter, he has urged the Irish bishops to train more priests to deal with the demand.

“(I)t’s only in recent years that the demand has risen exponentially,” Collins told The Irish Catholic.

Collins’ comments are on par with those of other exorcists throughout the world, including the International Association of Exorcists (IAE), a group of 400 Catholic leaders and priests, which has reported a dramatic increase in demonic activity in recent years. 'Doomsday Clock' Closer to Apocalypse Hour

Mounting concerns about the possibility of a nuclear war, along with US President Donald Trump's "unpredictability" have pushed the symbolic "Doomsday Clock" to two minutes before midnight, the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists said Thursday.

The clock—which serves as a metaphor for how close humanity is to destroying the planet—was moved forward by 30 seconds, to as near as it has ever been to the hour of the apocalypse.

"In 2017, world leaders failed to respond effectively to the looming threats of nuclear war and climate change, making the world security situation more dangerous than it was a year ago—and as dangerous as it has been since World War II," said a statement by the group of intellectuals across the fields of international affairs, science, environment and security.

The last time the clock was at two minutes to midnight was in 1953 when the United States and Soviet Union were testing hydrogen bombs.

"In this year's discussions, nuclear issues took center stage once again," Rachel Bronson, president and CEO of the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, told reporters.

She described 2017 as "perilous and chaotic," a year in which "we saw reckless language in the nuclear realm heat up already dangerous situations."

She mentioned the series of tests by North Korea, an enhanced commitment to nuclear weapons in China, Pakistan and India, and "unpredictability" embodied by the US president in tweets and statements.

Sasquatch License Plate Proposed

Washington state Sen. Ann Rivers, R-La Center, is at it again with recognition for one beloved cryptid, though this time the lawmaker is eyeing a fundraising opportunity for Washington state parks through Sasquatch-branded license plates with a bill in the Legislature this year.

Senate Bill 6151 would create a specialty license plate featuring the cryptid — short for cryptozoological creature — with revenues from its sales directed toward park maintenance and improvement in the state, according to a release from Rivers’ office Jan. 10. The bill’s primary sponsor, Rivers, touted the creature’s notoriety in the area as making it a viable way to help out parks.

“I’m guessing Sasquatch has a hidden talent as a fundraiser,” Rivers, R-La Center, stated in a release, “and assuming that Sasquatch is a native Washingtonian, and our state parks are part of Sasquatch’s native habitat, it makes perfect sense to capitalize on Sasquatch’s popularity in a way that would help protect and improve that habitat.” Read more at Rivers proposes Sasquatch license plate to support state parks

The Day They Landed in Oil City

Mike in Pennsylvania called in to tell of his UFO sighting back in 1975:

“I've been trying to get through to your show for a long time to talk to you about an event in Oil City, Pennsylvania – a UFO landing in Oil City back on October 25, 1975. If you look that up online, you'll see several reports of this. You could do a whole show on this. It should have been national news. I mean it's bigger than Kecksburg or anything like that. I've never see coverage. I've never understood why it's never been looked into. (Lewis asks if he heard him correctly, that a UFO really landed in Oil City) Yes, in Calvary Cemetery behind Vo-Tech High School. Around 6:30 in the evening. October 25, 1975. We live a few miles from there. At the time we did.

My aunt called us. She was a CBer and she called and said 'There's people on the CBs saying there are UFOs, you know?' We all ran outside and as soon as we went outside, there they were, right over our house. We saw three of them. They were just hovering there. They floated like little soap bubbles, you know, towards the north. So we got in our car and went into town and there were all these police cars driving to where it landed. We followed the police cars right to the cemetery. And it was 60 to 70 people there. Some people were crying. Some people were...it was just stunning. And there was this fog, like a mist and a smell, kind of like sulphur smell. Of course, when we got there, it had just taken off. We never saw it on the ground but we saw them fly over our house. (Lewis asks if anybody took a picture of the objects) There's a fellow who lives up there. I've been trying to for years, trying to get a hold of them but I don't know if they moved.

There's another guy named Sam Gordon, who worked at the radio station there in Oil City and he took pictures of it flying over the town. There was police officers. Should I mention their name? They're dead. They were there. It was really bigger than Kecksburg. We have an airport in Franklin. Franklin Regional Airport, that tracked these objects on radar. A funeral director, talked to the newspaper. 'The Derrick' (local newspaper), actually had a story about it the next day. He said that there were eleven objects that came in. They were moving at a high rate of speed.”

Bright lights in the sky seperated by several miles moving in odd geometric directions--changing course instantly this was many years ago-- I was in high school at the time. My brothers and I were listening on the CB radio (it was big back then). We heard a lot of excited chatter from people saying, "My God, there's another one..." Lots of people were headed to the vocational technical center, adjacent to Oil City High School to get a better view. So, my brothers and I climbed into our family car and drove up to look too.What we saw was clearly three to four bright lights in the sky, separated by many miles moving in odd geometric directions. Almost as if "dancing" in the sky. It was a clear winter night and the stars were vivid. There were hundreds of witnesses to this event. I have NEVER told anyone about this. It so impacted my younger brother that he actually returned to Oil City to interview people for a book he wanted to author. He has the original taped interviews from several police officers who saw more (e.g. saucer shaped craft hovering above the Allegheny River). He also has the notes from several other interviews.My brother told me later after he began his research that the Air Force scrambled F-4's from Pittsburgh to investigate (I don't know if that is factual, however).((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date of sighting is approximate. “I was 14 or 15 when I got my first .22 calibre rifle and I was already skilled in the woods and since I had been allowed to play there for several years. So this one winter we had a decent snowfall probably about 6 or 7 in and I got myself dressed put on my rubber boots and grabbed my brand new 22 rifle and headed out to maybe go rabbit hunting or just enjoy the day. I had hiked maybe 2 miles across from military land and my boots started taking on water, so I stopped and built a fire. It took some effort, but I had to dry my foot and sock out because I knew about frostbite. I enjoyed the fire and dried my foot and sock out, grabbed a plastic bread bag out of my jacket pocket and wrapped my foot up to hike back to the house.

About halfway home I came across (I was following my tracks) tracks that were alongside mine. Something had been following me all along apparently and of course most of you would say that probably was your dad making sure you are alright. But the really strange thing about these tracks is there weren't two tracks, but one-footed tracks is the only way I could describe it. I cannot figure this one out. All I know is that's exactly what I saw. This track had joined my trail about a half a mile from my house and stayed with me most of the way out into the woods. I never saw anything that day, besides the rabbit tracks that I had followed for a while. It seemed to have been right behind me all along. I've never told anyone this story for obvious reasons but it still comes to mind every once in awhile.”

Rats Taking Over Paris!

Paris’ long-running rat problem has again been highlighted through spine-chilling footage of a city dumpster filled with rodents. The rubbish collector who shot the video say rats have even attacked his colleagues.

The video, shot in December 2017 on the banks of the River Seine between the Musee d'Orsay and the Pont Royal, show a much-less romantic side to the city of love.

In the footage, the swarm of rats are scrambling over each other as they fight over food scraps. Others are caught desperately trying to leap out of the bin.

What may be even more alarming, is that this is not an uncommon site in the capital, but rather a harsh reality "for both Parisians and tourists, who come to visit the most beautiful city in the world," the unnamed garbage collector said. Python Owner Asphyxiated by Pet

A lover of exotic animals died of asphyxia after his 2.4-metre (8ft) pet African rock python called Tiny wrapped itself around him, a coroner has ruled.

Dan Brandon was found dead by his mother, Babs, in his bedroom in Hampshire, with the python concealed close by.

The coroner for north-east Hampshire, Andrew Bradley, recorded a verdict of misadventure, saying he believed the python was “instrumental” in Brandon’s death. He made clear he did not believe the snake had been aggressive towards its owner, but the most likely scenario was that the reptile had been coiling around him in an affectionate way.

Brandon, 31, died in the village of Church Crookham on 25 August. As well as Tiny, his bedroom was home to another nine snakes and 12 tarantulas.

The inquest in Basingstoke was told that Brandon was a responsible snake owner who loved his pets. His mother told the inquest that Tiny sometimes appeared aggressive.

She said: “She would get cross and hiss and pretend to strike. 'They're Watching Me'

Loretta in Oregon called in to tell of her alien abduction experience:

“I was abducted in 1967. I had a job in Denver. I had finished and I was headed back to Portland, Oregon. I was driving through the desert. I had driven as long as I could but I was sleepy so I pulled over at a rest stop and climbed in the back of my car. I had a pillow and a blanket and I laid down and pretty soon I heard a Diesel come up. I listened as the driver pulled up and went into the bathroom and left. And a little bit later I heard another Diesel. I kept listening and waiting for it to come up the road and stop. And I realized all of a sudden that it was coming over the top of me and all I could do was just cover my head because I was terrified. There was a pressure on my head and I was ready to scream and about that time a greenish white light hit my feet and it was like a shock and then I was gone. And I ended up... I wake up that morning terrified. I jump in the front seat of the car and took off.

I wouldn't sleep at night anymore. I slept in the park in the daylight. I could feel these dark forms around me. When I was up there, it was like they knew I couldn’t have children anymore. I heard them say 'She can't have children anymore.' And whatever they were doing to me, I don't want to remember because it wasn't fun. And after that, when I got back to Portland, I couldn't have the shower curtains closed because I could still feel them watching me. (Clyde asks if she ever filled out a report or told anyone of her encounter) I'm telling you tonight. (Clyde asks if the shower curtain had something to do with the abduction) I couldn't have it closed because I could still feel them behind it. So I always have to shove the shower curtain all the way back so that no one could get behind it or anything.

Well, this went on for a long time. This was in 1967. (Clyde asks about the abduction) I could remember that when they took me up that I was sitting on something. And it was like I wouldn't open my eyes because I was so afraid. I didn't want to see anything. It was so large. You could feel the acceleration of going straight up. But then I couldn’t... wherever I was, it was so large that I could not feel any sides any where near me at all. No smell. I didn't get up off of where I was at but I could remember feeling like, you know sometimes you can feel the walls fairly close to you? There wasn't the feel of anything around me. If there was, it was so far away I couldn't even in any way feel it in my mind. (Clyde asks if anything else has happened since then) I still shove the shower curtain back so no one can be behind it. That's my fear, that they could still be behind it looking at me. I don't mind the door closed or anything but it's just, it has something to do with the shower curtain. That they were behind it watching me. So anytime I go into a bathroom and I take a shower, I shove that shower curtain as far back as I can against the wall.

I know they've taken pieces of me. Because I've got sound mind. I had to pull things off of me, round things that were stuck to me and the one on my abdomen. When I woke up in the morning, I got up, there was that round thing that I pulled off me. I couldn't get a hold of it. I knew it didn't have legs but it was the size of a jawbreaker. But when I got up in the morning I squeezed where it was attached and blood squirted. I know they've taken things from me... cartilage, blood. I got a drill in the front part of my tooth and I cannot reach that tooth. I woke up in the morning with my mouth open with that gravel like on my tongue and my tongue was all dry but then I realized I had a hole in my front tooth straight down in.”

“I've had something happened to me and I was hoping you could steer me towards a web site or somebody to contact to speak to to find out some information. On two occasions, one in July of 1991 and one in October of 2015, I think the best way to describe it is to say I was teleported. The first time it happened, I was heading eastbound on the Ohio Turnpike. I somehow skipped 31 miles. (Noory asks if he remembered it) No, and I confirmed it because I was on a Turnpike, you know, I had my ticket telling me when I got on the Turnpike. I went 33 miles in three minutes. It was a good thing though because back then I drove a car with with really bad gas mileage and it saved me a couple gallons. The second time it happened, it was not so pleasant. I got moved about twelve miles in the opposite direction to where I was going. I was driving again, coming home from work, and I had a lot of side effects. I had lower back pain, shoulder blade pain and a lump on the left side of my jaw. It looked like somebody punched me in the mouth. (Noory asks when he noticed the pain) Before I even made it back to my place, within about 30 minutes or so. I still have a lump on my left jaw that has not completely dissipated.”

Ghost? Doppelganger?

A couple months ago I wrote to you about my grandfather who passed away after making his "The Bus Is Full" comment. Well, I didn't mention something else strange which took place within the year after his passing (sometime in 1986).

My family was visiting my grandmother (his widow) who still lived in the same house that she and my grandfather had always lived in. I remember we left to drive home just after nightfall, and to get home we had to drive through a busy "main street" through the center of town. So we're driving along and stopping frequently as a result of the numerous traffic lights on the route. As our car was stopped at one, I heard my mother say to my father, "Oh my goodness, he looks just like your father! In the window over there!", as she pointed to the window of a barber shop on the other side of the street. My father, my brother, and I craned our necks to look in the barber shop. Even though it was on the other side of the street, it wasn't more than 20 feet away, and the contrast of the dark night to the bright lights within gave us a very vivid look at everything inside.

Inside, standing at the window looking out, was a man who was a dead ringer for my grandfather. He was the same height, had identical facial features, the same hair, and the same thick-rimmed glasses that he always wore. However, what jumped out the most was the jacket he was wearing. It didn't look like just any jacket, but the EXACT one which my grandfather loved to wear: a light tan suede-like one with woolen, sheep-like trim along both sides of the zipper and along the collar.

He was just standing at the large window (which basically took up the entire front wall) staring straight out into the street. "Wow, it does," my father said, but if he was any more amazed than that I'm not sure because he never brought it up again, at least in my presence. After a couple of seconds the light turned green and our car propelled forward - the man in the window still looking straight ahead.

To make it more interesting, the next time I saw my grandmother I told her that we had seen someone in the window of the barber shop on that street who looked just like Grandpa. Since she hadn't witnessed it she couldn't make a big deal about it, but she did say that was the barber shop he had always gone to for a haircut. Now I'm not sure who the man in the window was, but it's still something I think about to this day, over 30 years later. - Keith in NJ

Pterosaur-Like Being Seen Over Frankfort, IL

I recently received the following account:

Almost 30 years ago, when I was a kid, I saw something like this (flying humanoid) in the night sky in Frankfort, Illinois. Frankfort is about 35 miles south of Chicago; and at the time, it was still a fairly rural area. I remember it being larger than a human, and very Pterodactyl-like; as some are describing it.

Over the years, the the memory would pop in my head, about once every few years or so. But I've always pawned it off, that I was just a kid and that my vivid imagination was probably playing tricks on me. Being that I was under 10 at the time, and a kids imagination is very strong.

I've always been a skeptic of the paranormal, and always look for a rational explaination for things like this. However when I first saw the article about the sightings on Facebook earlier this year, this childhood memory immediately came to mind, and I began to again question what I saw.

Because as big of a skeptic as I am of things like this, and with the many things that I have found rational explanations for; there are still about 3 or 4 experiences I've had in my life, that try as I may, I still cannot find a rational explanation for. I could still maintain that my childhood imagination got away from me, but I honestly don't think that's the case after hearing about the 2 sightings earlier this year; which is now up to 55 sightings according to this new article on Vice.com.

After seeing the first article on Facebook some months back, I began to think, that maybe I really did see this thing. On the other hand, I thought that anybody could write a phony article and put it on social media. But if that is the case, then it would be an awfully big coincidence.

A week or two after reading the Facebook article, I told a family member about the article because I once told them about this strange sighting I had as a child. Although the first time I told them of the sighting, I still chalked it up as, it was a long time ago and my mind and memory could be deceiving me. When I told them of the article, they said they saw a recent report on the news that 2 people claimed to see the same thing. Which to me, brings a lot more validity to the article I read.

From what I remember in my experience, I was riding in the back seat of my parent's convertible with the top down one Summer night. I want to say it was in the late 80's or very early 90's. I was laying down in the back seat looking up at the night sky. I couldn't have been more than 7 or 8 at the time. We were on the way to the grocery store, as my dad worked mostly 2nd and 3rd shifts. So we would sometimes get groceries at night. As we drove down the road, I remember seeing this large dark creature swoop past overhead. From what I remember, it was flying perpendicular to the direction our car was traveling.

I don't remember exactly how low it was flying, but it was low enough for me to discern that it was larger than a person, and it had an enormous wingspan. It was soaring open-winged like a hawk would fly. It blended with the night sky pretty well, and was directly above and perpendicular to the car, so I was the only one in the car who saw it.

When I originally told my parents about it years later, they said they don't remember this happening, so I assume they did not see it. As they were looking at the road, and I was looking up in the sky.

I don't remember being startled by it, and I know I did not make any noise or scream because my parents do not recall the experience at all. I remember being intrigued by it, because I was into dinosaurs as a kid, and it very much reminded me of a Pterodactyl. I was old enough to know it's not something you see every day; but still young enough to not question whether or not something like that should exist. I had no concept yet of what "paranormal" was, and therefore, was not scared of it.

Again, I am a very rational person, and always look for a logical explanation with things like this. I am not saying that it did happen for certain. There is still a chance that I could have just imagined the whole thing. Maybe my mind is just reconstructing an old memory of what I "thought" I saw as a wildly imaginative kid. However since seeing that first article, and hearing about other people's accounts of it, and reports of it on the evening news; I'm leaning more towards that my memory serves me correctly on this one.

Ever since then, I've felt a compelling urge to reach out and tell someone that I think I saw the same thing too. This is my reason for contacting you. Because you are collecting accounts of this creature being sighted, and I wanted to see who else has seen this thing. And maybe we could all feel less crazy about what we saw. 'Cube of Butter' Shaped UFO

Hi Lon,

This sighting occurred in the San Francisco east bay area in the city of Walnut Creek. This was in broad daylight, around 1:00pm, as I recall. There were some large, high reaching cumulus clouds present and bright sunshine. The bottoms of these clouds seemed to all be at approximately 3000 feet. I was lying on a chaise lounge and reading a book in my backyard, and was taking a break from reading and was just looking at the sky, when a construct of some kind flew out of one of the clouds, and performed an immediate 90 degree right turn without slowing down, and flew directly into a neighboring cloud, from which I did not see it emerge. Even if I had a camera on hand, I wouldn't have had the time to take a picture. The entire event transpired in about 1 1/2 seconds.

It looked like a "cube of butter" with the exception of the front, which slanted in an aerodynamic fashion from front to back. It had no wings, made no sound that I could hear, and was as reflective as a mirror. It had no wings, or any thing else hanging from it that I could see. If I hadn't been looking in that general direction, I would have never seen it. It was as though it were intentionally using the clouds for cover. When I saw it make it's brief appearance, the thought I had was; ok, what was that? What in the HELL was that?? Obviously, it was not an aircraft, in that it did not employ any visible airfoil surfaces, or propellers, jets, or anything that provides lift as currently known. And the 90 degree turn without slowing down, we can't do that. There is a military center nearby, called the Concord Naval Weapons facility. I will never forget seeing that thing, and I'll always wonder what it was.

Meteor or Other Objects Over Chicago?

Chicago, IL - 2018-01-17: I was watching TV in my dorm next to the window with a clear view across the street. It was dark outside and out of the corner of my eye I saw a flash of light. I looked and saw the falling light clearly for a solid five seconds and then it fell out of view behind a dorm building across the street or possibly onto the roof of it. I immediately told my roommate who was sitting on the far side of the room and saw nothing.

It was circular, green in the middle and glowing white, with a short white tail. It fell slowly enough for me to get a look, probably falling twenty feet over 5 seconds. It didn't produce any specific emotions/technical problems. - MUFON
