Are BLACK-EYED KIDS Alien Beings? Encounter Results in Possible Abduction & Lost Time

A Minnesota resident recounts his encounter with 2 black-eyed kids. During the incident, he experienced lost time and apparently disappeared since his wife had been searching for him.

"I just read one of your black-eyed people stories. I thought I'd write to you about an experience I had.

One evening during the summer of 2019 I went outside on my porch to smoke a cigarette. It was still light out. I live near Rochester, Minnesota. There is a small hill directly across the street from my house, and I noticed two kids (a young boy and a girl) walking up the hill. They stopped and looked back at me, but I got a bad feeling about them. They were wearing dark blue vinyl windbreakers with hoods and as I looked closer, I could see that their eyes were black.

They started to walk down the hill and come across the street walking directly toward me. I was cordial and introduced myself to them. They continued to advance toward me. I was getting scared, so I quickly went back into the house. I asked my wife if she heard me talking to the kids. She heard nothing, so I just put it out of my mind.

The evening was quiet and my wife and I went to bed around 11 PM. After several minutes of laying in bed, I started to feel strange. I looked towards the window (we have a one-floor ranch-style house) and saw the girl standing outside his window. I freaked out and went to make sure the doors were bolted. When I got to the kitchen door, I could see the boy standing on the back porch. I ran back to the bedroom and grabbed my 45. automatic. I just assumed that they were attempting to break in. By that time I was extremely scared. I went to pick up the telephone to call 911, but the next thing I remember was waking up in bed the next morning. It was just after 6 AM.

My wife was awake and looked at me. 'Where did you go last night?' I told her I didn't go anywhere. She said that she heard the back door close around midnight and that she went to see what was going on. She said that she couldn't find me. I told her what had happened and she thought that I hiding something from her. I still don't know what happened. I've read about 'lost time' and 'alien abduction.' But I always believed it was bunk. I still don't really believe it. Were these black-eyed kids aliens? BTW, I no longer smoke. I just don't have the urge anymore. Why? I have no idea, but I had smoked for almost 30 years." KL

The story centers around a bizarre encounter with a terrifying cryptid that John experienced while living with his Grandfather. John later stated to me that the property was in a rural area of Aleppo Township in Greene County, Pennsylvania. He did not want to pinpoint the location but did say that he wanted the post dedicated to his Grandfather - Samuel Hill, who he considers the most remarkable man he has ever known.
John seemed quite sincere in my opinion. He decided to come forth with the account after he had a rather strange encounter a few months previous to writing me (which he did not want to discuss).

Fishermen Encounter 'GLOWING HUMANOIDS' Around Rhode Island Reservoir

Two friends were in a fishing tournament in Smithfield, Rhode Island. They continued fishing into the night. They then began to observe 'glowing humanoids' gathering along the edge of the lake.

I received the following account:

"A friend and I were fishing in an evening-friendly bass tournament on 7/2/1992 from 3pm-9pm at Smith and Sayles Reservoir in Smithfield, Rhode Island. The fishing picked up as the tournament ended. So I convinced my friend to go back out for a night bite.

Somewhere around 11pm, we were fishing at the end of a peninsula facing the shore with a dark empty house on the land. It was very quiet but I thought a helicopter was coming down in the cove behind the house where we couldn't see. But no noise. I gestured to my friend but when the lights dimmed we excused it as vehicle lights must have come down the road and backed away (but we had never seen a vehicle).

We continued fishing towards the shore in plain view of the house when I noticed what looked like children playing with flashlights moving frantically in one of the rooms of the house through the windows. My fishing partner and I decided people must have come home to the house (even though we had never seen a car or people) and the power must be turned off in the house.

We continued fishing although we had never seen or heard anyone, There was an abnormally (7 foot) tall human-shaped figure with a smaller child-size human-shaped figure with the larger one looking like it was holding a flashlight looking for frogs and such at the water's edge. The odd thing was the way they were illuminating, almost like a glow in the dark? But we dismissed that as the flashlight reflected off the water back at them strangely.

Just then we noticed about 15 to 20 glowing-shaped figures all on the shore facing us all different sizes and we got freaked out because there was never any noise this whole time and we were close enough to have heard people walking in the brush near shore. Just as we were getting scared and contemplating leaving, the flashlight the first big human-like figure was holding shined directly toward our boat. My partner said to start the motor and "Let's get out of here!" As I was starting to set the choke and pull the cord of the small 5hp outboard motor, the flashlight levitated across about 30-40 yards of water as I was keeping half an eye on it and starting the motor! When it turned over and I put it in gear, I looked up and the light was about 8 feet above our small boat! I never looked back and it was a short 3-minute ride back to the boat ramp.

We hurried, throwing the boat in the van, and got inside the van in shock. All the dogs on the lake were barking loudly (we never heard a dog before this). My friend made me promise not to tell anyone and I haven't...until now." M

From Keller Venus Files:  Sometime before the end of 1959, the Mitchell Sisters of Florissant, Missouri, Helen (L) and Betty (R), were translated to the planet Mars to be with their extraterrestrial boyfriends, Elan of Venus and Velas of Mars, respectively.  Looking spiffy in their white pantaloons and light blouses, and sporting shades that gave them that cool Hollywood look, they returned to Earth in 1964 to do some grocery shopping at a Kroger’s supermarket in Florissant, where they were spotted by a couple from a St. Louis, Missouri, UFO club, with the wife being the one who snapped this picture of the enigmatic sisters. Helen and Betty Mitchell, Contactees Extraordinaire

It’s Thursday, 30 March 2023 and I’m getting ready to drive tomorrow to visit my cousin Sandy, arriving on Saturday in Lafayette, Indiana, and also do a special presentation to the local UFO club in the public library there on the topic of “Finding Your Starseed Connection,” from noon to 5:30 p.m. on that same day of 1 April, which ironically is April Fool’s Day.  As I was looking through my archives for something unique to reveal to the world regarding the extraterrestrial presence on Earth at that meeting, I found a long-forgotten photograph of the Mitchell Sisters (Helen and Betty) of Florissant, Missouri, whose frolicking experiences with a man from Venus, named Elan, and another man from Mars, named Velas, I wrote about in Chapter 4 of Volume VI in my Venus Rising series, Flying Saucers and the Venus Legacy (Terra Alta, West Virginia:  Headline Books, 2022), pages 74-79.  The chapter was appropriately titled, “The Mitchell Sisters and the Space People.”   It covers Helen and Betty’s initial contact with the extraterrestrials in a St. Louis, Missouri, coffee shop back in 1957, Helen’s ride into outer space in a flying saucer, and pioneer ufologist Gray Barker’s “psychic interpretation” of all the events that purportedly took place between these two young women and their boyfriends from beyond Earth.

Timothy Green Beckley (1952-2021)

Most in the paranormal and UFO research community are familiar with the legacy of New Brunswick, New Jersey’s Timothy Green Beckley.  He was famously known as “Mr. UFO” and “Mr. Creepo,” a pioneer in the emerging fields of the paranormal, ufology, and all things bizarre. He was an author, editor, producer, and publisher with Innerlight Publications, publishing, and marketing over 200 books on sundry esoteric subjects. Previously, he served as the editor of UFO Universe magazine and a film reviewer for Hustler magazine. He ran the New York School of Occult Arts and Sciences and worked promotions for the School of Rock and Roll.

Timothy Green Beckley was a frequent radio guest on Mount Olympus Radio's Hercules and the Space Gods with Marc and Phyllis Brinkerhoff, SURN Radio, 21st Century Radio, Coast-to-Coast AM with Art Bell and later George Noory, and many more. He has appeared on the Travel Channel, UFO Hunters, Weird or What with William Shatner, the Joe Franklin Show, and many other television shows and news interviews. My connections with him go back to the mid-1960s through the early 1970s, when I corresponded and exchanged publications with him when he wrote a column for Raymond A. Palmer’s Flying Saucers magazine out of Amherst, Wisconsin. Toward the end of his life, he was a podcast host on KCOR Radio's Exploring the Bizarre with Tim Swartz, out of Las Vegas, and just a few weeks before he died on 31 May 2021, I was one of the last guests that he interviewed on that program, answering questions about the strange case of Valiant Thor along with Julie Stranges, the surviving spouse of the late Rev. Dr. Frank E. Stranges of Van Nuys, California, who first brought the Valiant Thor story to light through his International Evangelism Crusade.

While going through the old issues of Flying Saucers containing Beckley’s “On the Trail of the Flying Saucers” column, I came across an item about the Mitchell Sisters and their disappearance under mysterious circumstances in Issue #64 of April 1969. According to Mr. UFO, during a visit to St. Louis, Missouri, he came across a very enthusiastic group of Flying Saucers readers in a UFO club led by Warren and Nora Bartling.  The Bartlings happily reported to Beckley that membership in their local club had grown substantially over the years.  To the residents of St. Louis, Warren’s UFO research, together with coverage of his club’s activities in the local media, had garnered him the title of “Mr. Flying Saucer.”  Thanks to the sponsorship of the Bartlings, many of the leading lights in ufology had come to speak to the St. Louis club.  Lecturers included many then-famous contactees such as Wayne Aho, Daniel Fry, and Buck Nelson.  Psychics from the St. Louis Mark-Age Center also made frequent appearances as guests at the club meetings.

Mars Needs Women

In writing about the St. Louis UFO club, Timothy Green Beckley noted that “While in St. Louis, we (he and the Bartlings) tried to locate the Mitchell Sisters, who were responsible for quite an unusual contact story which appeared in print several years ago.”  The story being referenced here was Betty and Helen Mitchell’s own book, We Met the Space People (Clarksburg, West Virginia:  Saucerian Press, 1959), with Gray Barker as editor.

Beckley continued, “It seems that no one has seen them for at least five years.  As one long-time space researcher told us, ‘Since the two Space Brothers promised to take the girls on a trip to Mars, it is possible that they are there now.  No one seems to be able to find them.  Their former landlord said that they left without giving a forwarding address.’”  Their last known address was 1415 Bernadette Street, Florissant, Missouri 63033, according to my files.

The older St. Louis ufologist did inform Beckley that the last time he had seen the sisters was back in 1964, standing out in a grassy vacant lot on the edge of the parking lot at Kroger’s supermarket in Florissant’s then bustling Cross Keys Plaza.  Like any good UFO investigator worth her salt, so to speak, Nora Bartling always had her Kodak camera at the ready in their car, just in case a flying saucer would appear, and asked Helen, the older of the two sisters by two years (Both were in their early twenties during their first encounter in 1957), if he could get her camera out of the car and snap their picture.  “Suit yourself,” replied Helen.  As you can see in the photo, both of the sisters, all dressed in white with pantaloons and loose blouses, along with the snappy sunglasses and cheerful Southern California looks, seemed like they just stepped out of the Matrix from some future place.

Other members of the St. Louis UFO group, many subscribers to Flying Saucers magazine, and readers of Beckley’s column, had fond memories of the Mitchell sisters.  One female member in her mid-20s recalled traveling out to Kansas City, on the other side of the state, to hear the sisters address a meeting of the Kansas City, Missouri, Saucer Club.  When it came time for Helen to speak, she started rambling on in some strange tongue:

“Mel Bez de Son.  Ras, de ta ol de ieon qua son twila um bon-ta-bon Zabat dra um ta daga de tra-ce-te de ta io um bont.  Zahabat rma zabar, ott ta rma qua zabat gavon-ta-bo um-quat que Ban gav ban um ta ban ta zabat nas qua pa qua zabat ta old at um ta rama. Mel Bez de Son.”

Her traveling companion asked her, “Are you a Pentecostal and were you speaking in tongues, Helen?”

“Well, I am a Christian but not a Pentecostal.  This is the language of the Martians, one of the many species of extraterrestrials in the Galactic Confederation of Light, which I learned in the past few years in which I was off planet.

It translates as: ‘Peace be unto you, Beloved, in the evolving mind where one chooses to serve humankind, thus turning the forces of Love in one’s own direction.  When searching is difficult, these words facilitate advancement.  The adversary must now work harder to place obstacles in the path of advancement.  Now, let darkness fade to the nothingness that it is.  Let the full manifestation and potential of the light take its place.  Peace be unto you.’”

Timothy Green Beckley wanted to know, “If anyone out there knows the whereabouts of the Mitchell Sisters, we would certainly like to contact them.  Their present whereabouts would be kept confidential as we understand that they have two young children (one each) which they are busy raising.”

From the start of their respective relationships, Helen went with the Martian and Betty with the Venusian.  It seems that the two young women had made it off world as translated beings, along with their beaus.

Ghostly Adventures

The experiences of the Missouri UFO buffs with the Mitchell Sisters caused me to evaluate my own encounters with sundry translated beings:  Annalee Skarin, Dolores Barrios (Lady Orda), and her posse, Lady Encara, Annabell Krebs (Lady Columba) and Lady Aurora, the Rev. Dr. Frank E. Stranges, etc.  In a way, it’s a lot like living with ghosts.

Native American Wisdom

My friend and close associate in paranormal and UFO research, the late Phyllis “Krsanna” Duran (1948-2020), a Native American originally from Oklahoma but living most of her life in Missoula, Montana, was the author of the epilogue in my third Venus book, Cosmic Ray’s Excellent Venus Adventure (Terra Alta, West Virginia:  Headline Books, 2017).  The epilogue was titled, “American Heritage and the National Security Act,” and details Native American connections to those claiming contact with the flying saucer occupants throughout American history.  The epilogue contains many first-hand, never-before-published materials that she received from her mentor, the late rocket scientist Daniel Fry (1908-1992), who allegedly flew from the White Sands Missile Base in New Mexico to New York City, and back, in a remote- controlled flying saucer back in 1949. Krsanna herself had several ultra-dimensional contacts with Bigfoot-like beings hailing from the Arcturus star system and was the author of several popular UFO and time-travel books.

As Krsanna and I would discuss various types of paranormal phenomena that we had encountered in our research, we both agreed that the late John A. Keel (1930-2009) was the expert on this subject.  Keel especially noted the deep psychic connections shared by Native Americans in contact experiences with extraterrestrials and ultra-dimensional beings.  Krsanna and I wrote about this in an article that appeared as Chapter 6, “Evolution of an Enlightened Ufologist,” in my latest book, Flying Saucers:  From Venus They Come (Terra Alta, West Virginia:  Headline Books, 2022), pages 104-107.

As to the UFOnauts themselves, Keel’s amassed documentation revealed that “They also pick out people with very interesting religious and racial backgrounds.”  Of particular note, the ufologist comments that, “If you have Indian (Native American) blood in your veins, you are more apt to be contacted than any other type of person.  This is, if your great, great grandfather was an Indian or a Gypsy, by the way.”  Keel elaborated: “Gypsy or Indian blood is very important and the majority of contactees do have either Indian or Gypsy blood.  But, if you are Jewish, your chances of being contacted are almost zero.  We have very few Jewish contactees, for some reason; and on the other hand, we have a great many contactees.  “So,” Keel surmised, “the religious factor seems to be of some significance, but the Indian factor is the most important of all.”

In the footsteps of pioneer ufologist John A. Keel, Krsanna Duran (1948-2020) explored the mysteries of UFOs and inter-dimensionality through a Native American perspective in her Time Star website and many intriguing books.  In addition, Krsanna worked closely with the “Cosmic Ray” in investigating ethereal Venusian connections to one of the first flying saucer clubs in the world, established in Paradise, California.  Their findings are detailed in Dr. Keller’s third UFO book, Cosmic Ray’s Excellent Venus Adventure (Terra Alta, WV:  Headline Books, 2017).

Keel believed that if you had the good fortune of living near an Indian reservation, with enough tact and persuasive ability you might be able to gain the confidence of some Native Americans to the point that they would tell you a great deal about the UFO phenomenon because, after all, “they know all about it.”  Keel declared that "A great many of them have been contactees for years and years.”  But to find out more about UFOs, one would have to get a Native American to open up about their experiences, which most are somewhat reluctant to do.  Keel continued, “You would have to spend some time there.  You couldn’t do it in an afternoon.  You would have to spend some time there to win their confidence.  But it would be very useful to you if you could do this because you would learn a great deal.”

Necromancy and the Contactee Phenomenon

In the process of pondering my various encounters with supernatural entities, mostly human beings who had been “translated” to our sister planet Venus, and who occasionally visit our world in the appearance of a human form, I could not help but relate these to encounters with ghosts as described in sundry occult literature.  Where Keel refused to disassociate extraterrestrial encounters with other types of paraphysical manifestations, I thought it was time for me to explore this avenue of approach to looking at ufology through a different lens, that of necromancy, which can appropriately be defined as “the practice of magic or black magic involving communication with the dead by summoning their spirits as apparitions or visions, or by resurrection for the purpose of divination; imparting the means to foretell future events; discovery of hidden knowledge; returning a person to life, or to use the dead as a weapon.” See Wikipedia,  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Necromancy (Accessed 31 March 2023). This leads us to the question of whether UFO occupants are just as much condensed ghostly apparitions as they are extraterrestrials?  And to further inquire as to the nature of “reality” on distant worlds, and even our own planet, if it might exist in parallel dimensions or various densities beyond the perception of our normal five senses?

Important Caveat

Whatever the UFO occupants say they are, however, the ufologist or researcher of paranormal phenomena would be wise to keep in mind that they should always exercise caution and not initiate the contact themselves as you never know what kind of entity beyond the Earth’s material plane will turn up.  On the other hand, if the entities initiate the contact, you can be sure that they are who they claim to be.

Truth in Poetry

I know that my late friend Krsanna would agree with the sentiments of another Oklahoman Native American, Rachel Jacobs, 78, a poet from the Potawatomi Nation, who wrote the following poem, Ghosts, which deals with both their nature and influence on human affairs:

GHOSTS

(Cosmic Ray:  This is the “eternal now.”  Our supernatural friends find us when we come to the realization that everything exists, all that we ever were or ever will be, or even ever needed, right here in the “eternal now.”  We stand ready to receive further light and knowledge from our star friends, and even more, from our own Cosmic Oversoul.)

Or do we really not exist?

And what appears as normal

Is nothing more than fading portraits

And candles soon to lose their flame

(Cosmic Ray:  Our material form is transitive, illusory.  It is as much a reflection of the light as the Moon is a reflector of the light from the Sun.  We are the light, not just a manifestation of it.)

I can still dream

And if my dream perchance come true

I’ll not waste a moment

But hasten to my journey’s end

And tell all those who follow after

That the quest is not in vain

But all will be forgiven here

And what is past will fade

With morning’s light

Until the ghosts that love to linger

Find some other place to haunt.

(Cosmic Ray:  There is a new heaven and a new Earth coming where pain and sorrow no longer exist.  Nobody is crying anymore unless they are tears of joy.  Everything is forgiven because, after all, we have only been human.  Our star friends have done their job and mentored us along the way to celestial light.  Now they go on to help others in this world and others to find their way as well.)

I received a correspondence in May 2012. It was forwarded by 'John' a retired Federal employee who lives in northern Nevada and who wished to remain anonymous.

Marauding BIGFOOT Terrorizes Residents in Southern Utah

An unknown creature was terrorizing residents in southern Utah near the Glen Canyon area. A tracker was called in to investigate and confirmed that the beast was a large Bigfoot.

I recently received the following account:

“I grew up in southern Utah near the Glen Canyon area. I encountered something strange down there. I lived out in the middle of nowhere and we had a bunch of dogs. There were a lot of hitchhikers since we lived on a main road that goes through there. My dad was a local police officer and worked long days and stuff.

One night the dog starts barking and he just stuck his gun out the door and he said, 'Hey, go figure out what that is." So I went. We had one dog on each corner of the property. We had an actual pump house to pump water, so we lived that far out of town. I checked the dogs and they were very upset. I got to the one dog and she is cowering down on the ground shaking. I thought she was hurt but she wasn't, just really scared. When I checked on her, I got the distinct feeling that I didn't check behind me very well. So when I started to turn around something stood straight up and ran away from me. I didn't hear anything other than crunching sounds in the dry brush as it was running. We lived on the side of a really steep hill, running right down the side of that incline. On the bottom of that hill were trees and a river. I could hear twigs breaking.

By the time I realized what had gone on, I got to the side of the hill to see where it was going. It made it all the way down (it was a very steep hill). I could hear the tree branches breaking off and I was petrified. I was shaking so bad that if I had wanted to shoot it I wouldn’t have been able to. I was terrified.

My dad called the county sheriff who had a professional tracker/hunter by the name of Billy, and they brought him in. I thought it was a bear because of how big it was. But it ran on two legs.

Billy looked at the footprint impressions. He said, if this was a bear, it was bigger than anything he'd ever tracked and he's been doing it for 30 years. After talking to Billy a bit more, he said that he thought that it was a Bigfoot. He said that he had tracked a few over the years, but this one was much larger.

Yeah, it was terrifying and there were sightings in the area a couple of weeks after that. There were a few instances of property damage and at least 2 sheep being killed. It could have ripped me apart.” V

Mysterious Man Claims He Stole Evidence From AREA 51

The following account was posted on the MUFON CMS approximately 7 years ago. I've never seen it referenced since that time. I wonder if there was any investigation or inquiry conducted.

I am posting this account 'as is':

Casa Grande, AZ - 1995-08-31: I know this event happened a long time ago but it has always bothered me. I am sure somebody has wondered what happened to this gentleman. I want to tell the little tiny part of this story in an effort to help solve a possible missing person situation. in case this man had never shown up anywhere again. Just maybe somebody will recognize the very general information I do know about and that it might help solve a serious event.

I am very unclear about the date and am even not sure of the year. Late or mid-1990s. I am sorry I did not report this somewhere previously. It was unclear where I should go or who to report such a situation to.

It was around 3 pm on a Friday I believe. I was down at the town's motor vehicle department waiting to have an inspection done on a vehicle and then get the tags and title to the auto. I happen to park beside a gentleman of about 45 years old. He was tall, white, pale, had no facial hair, and may have had a receding hairline and light hair.

We were both waiting for a long time because it was so busy that day.

The man slowly started to approach me and he appeared very nervous and was sweating for more than the weather made a reason for. He made it a point to explain a little about his behavior. he told me that he knew it sounded far-fetched but that he has been running from town to town trying to stay hidden from the government's secret military. I have never in my life been in a conversation with anyone about any similar subject. It made it even more uncomfortable for him to say what he was attempting to say. He said that he felt he finally had lost them and that he was there to get the vehicle tagged to fit in the state of Arizona and his new fictitious name. He was planning to try to stay here for a while now and make Casa Grande his home for a few months but he just had to put this new used car in order. Saying that he had been with many vehicles trying to conceal his path if they were following and getting close.

He was very nervous telling me this and I was rather shocked and mostly just listened. I asked him why he was telling me though. He said he was on a mission to break out the truth to the world about UFOs and the fact that they were real and he could prove it. He said that his mission was to tell as many as possible and to prove it to all he could using showing people the evidence he had stolen from Area 51. He asked if I knew of this place and at that time I had not. So he explained that this is where the government and military try to hide the truth about aliens and the fact is they are real and that he wanted me to see his evidence. He stated he stole at least reels of video tape feed all showing information and documentation of actual aliens. He asked if I would like to see them. I was quite stunned at what this well-kept middle-aged man was saying. I told him I would like to see but I am afraid to be alone with him under the potential threat of getting caught by some secret society on his heels and asked if I could bring somebody with me. He had no problem with that and said it would be even better because he would be getting the word out to the two of us.

So very strange. I raced to a phone to call my boyfriend and tell him all this stuff and he insisted on coming with me which was a great relief to me, though his boss did not like him just leaving work with very little being said.

The man instructed me that he was at this one motel I knew of and that he was in the first room on the south end and I knew perfectly where this was.

We pull into to motel and the man's car was not pulled up all the way into the parking spot and the rear passenger door was still open. His motel room door had been kicked in and it was down. I could see the manager of the motel going in the opposite direction from us and he would not respond to my calling to him. We were out looking around stunned at all that had taken place when we see in the middle of the parking area sat a white new van. The doors were slamming shut and the driver was in a hurry to leave. The noise coming from the van, like kicking the panels inside, could be heard. The van kicked up rocks speeding away from us. My boyfriend told me to get into our truck and we quickly left. We hardly spoke a word about it.

But like I said at the beginning this has always bothered me. What happened to him? Is anyone looking for him? Did he survive this ordeal? - MUFON

YELLOW-GREEN HUMANOIDS Appear in Russian Town After Aerial Event

Was this a case of a craft landing and the occupants disembarking to gather information? 'Aged men' with strange yellow-greenish-looking faces appear in a Russian town after light phenomena incident.

The incident to place near Balashov, Saratov region, Russia. During the night local residents noticed four fiery columns of light in the clear northeastern sky. The columns or beams of light were nearby of each other, with blue and white shades. The phenomenon lasted for about 2 hours. After that, the area became dark again and the sky again appeared normal.

Soon after this observation, bizarre-looking strangers appeared in the Saratov region. These “men” looked aged, like elderly men, with strange yellow-greenish-looking faces, and all the men were beardless. These strangers visited several villages but never begged for alms. When the locals attempted to communicate with the strangers they only mumbled in an unrecognizable language that the Russian villagers could not understand. So the strangers were then considered eccentric or crazy (if indeed extraterrestrials, a perfect disguise that did not attract too much attention).

Neither village elders nor district policemen detained the strangers. But as was found out later the strangers aroused the suspicion of local representatives and authorities. The strangers seemed to move very quickly between villages and never stayed one night in any of the villages. But the authorities could never corner or pinpoint the whereabouts of the strangers. All of the strangers appeared to vanish soon after October 6, 1848, when a report was sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs from the town of Balashov.

This report stated that on the above date at around 2100, there was very bright lighting over the area corresponding with the rumble of thunder which lit the sky. And then at 2200, a blood red colored spot appeared in the center of the sky which was visible for 5 minutes, the spot then took an elongated form, becoming pinkish in color and moving towards the northwest, in half an hour the sky appeared to clear and the red “spot” moved to the west and separated into several dozen cone-shaped columns stretching to the horizon and becoming dark red in color. After that, the north was covered with whitish-red stripes which slowly drifted towards the west. The phenomenon vanished around 2300.

FLORIDA SKUNK APE Saves Man From Certain Death in the Everglades

A man named Anthony Cross wrote about the time Bigfoot saved him from certain death. The incident occurred in the Florida Everglades after the witness had sustained a severe injury.

“It's 1982 and I just ended my time in the Army. After getting home I found nothing had changed. That and my experiences in the service left me in a poor mental state. I love the outdoors of camping from an early age so I foolishly decided that camping in the Florida Everglades would give me the peace of mind I desperately needed.

After three days I had enough. I packed up my gear and headed out only to realize that I had somehow gotten myself lost. There were about seven hours of daylight left so I climbed the tallest tree I saw to get my bearings. The tree was pretty thin and just as I saw the way I needed to go, I slipped down and fell above 16 feet. My knee and ankle were sprained very badly and the pain was nearly unbearable. I limped as far as possible in the direction I needed to go but soon I couldn't stand the pain anymore. Finding the path leading out, I sat and started scooting backward as best I could. It was hard going as the path was made of crushed shells and gravel.

An hour later and I saw a large cat come out of the bush. It slowly started towards me much like a house cat does when he sees a bird. Feeling very vulnerable and unarmed, I knew I was in deep sh-t. Each time I scooted backward, it would lunge and sort of flop its front paws. Craziest thing I ever saw. It was about 10 yards from me when from my right came a rock about the size of a softball, flying horizontally like a missile. It struck the side of the cat's head so hard that aside from literally exploding, it folded around backward and slapped its body. I heard the crunch and saw the blood mist on impact. I swear every single word is absolute truth.

I looked to the right and saw HIM standing there just inside the tree line; massive dark hair covered except his face. It was dark but easily human-like we made eye contact and I felt very calm. To this day I can't be sure if I heard or just felt safe but I “heard” that word inside my head. I look back at the cat. I thought it made a gurgling sound. I still don't know but when I turned my back, my savior was gone.

I was replaying everything in my mind when I heard a crack at five o'clock. As I turned toward the sound, a long thin stick came flying out of the trees, landing a few feet behind me. I never saw or heard him after the first moment but I was positive he threw me a crutch to help me get on my feet and make it out.

Over the years I held the experience to myself alone knowing I’d be locked up if I told anyone. There are bad apples in every species but people need to understand they have compassion for us unless attacked.”

Witness Recalls 6-FOOT-TALL RABBIT Encounter on Easter Morning!

The following account is reposted with permission from The Singular Fortean Society. Tobias & Emily Wayland are also members of the Phantoms & Monsters Fortean Research team:

The Singular Fortean Society was contacted earlier this year by a Canadian man (name withheld by request) who wished to report his encounter with a "six-foot-tall white rabbit with a dark vest" that he had seen the Easter morning of 1988 in Crofton, British Columbia when he was 11 years old.

According to the man, his sighting took place just before 7 a.m.

I was looking out my bedroom window across my backyard with a backdrop of a forest. I had a rabbit cage at the border of the forest adjacent to our work shed, roughly 40 feet away. I witnessed a six-foot-tall white rabbit with a dark vest facing the door to my pet rabbit's cage.

I went into shock, as I was beginning to be skeptical of such things as the Easter Bunny as I was aging out of the concept. I couldn't believe my eyes. I maintained a visual of the rabbit and pinched and slapped myself so hard to try and wake myself up. The pain confirmed I was not dreaming.

I rubbed my eyes; the giant rabbit was still there. 

I threw open the single-pane window which led to the backyard facing the rabbit cage. I yelled at the rabbit, "Hey, I see you". I tried to volley up into the window to leap out and run to the rabbit, (in my tighty whitey kids' underwear) but couldn't make it up out the window.

It turned, looked at me, and took a series of bounds at high speed into the forest. I called my little brother, and he arrived at the window as the giant rabbit disappeared into the Douglas firs. 

I woke my parents and even a neighbor. I quizzed them as to a possible Easter costume, but I knew no one could make leaps at that speed nor have such a detailed costume, and why run for that matter. They all had a good laugh at my expense. 

I explored my pet rabbits' cage and surroundings as well as the forest soon after trying to get a sense of what occurred. No tracks and no trace evidence were left behind.

The memory haunts me to this day because of the absurdity of the situation.

For some reason, I thought I would google this strange experience, such as the one I had observed in my youth as it stands out in my mind to this day. Your witness's story came up in my feed and I have goosebumps as I write this. I am in disbelief and a little embarrassed but feel compelled to tell you my story because this is beyond coincidence and indicates something bigger is going on. 

Currently, I am a retired police officer and forensic artist residing in Central B.C. I have witnessed strange things in my life and career, but this childhood memory was so strange, and not a hallucination. It feels like a relief to recount it, embarrassing or not. Thanks for your time.

"After the six-foot rabbit incident, I had a bizarre Mary Poppins song stuck in my head on repeat and I could not shake it. It really made no sense as I was not a fan and it was before my time. It was odd and ill-fitting for the occurrence," he added.

The report referenced in the man’s testimony came from Sharon, an Illinois woman who said that when she was eight or nine years old, she awoke early one Easter morning in 1961 or 1962 to see a six-foot-tall, white, bipedal rabbit wearing a black vest embroidered with multicolored glass beads hopping through her backyard.

In further correspondence with investigator Tobias Wayland, the man noted some synchronicities between his and Sharon’s experiences.

"What's very strange is the woman from her 1962 encounter had the same dog as me [an Airedale Terrier] and lived in a similar type of suburb and was close to the same age and circumstance," he said.

Also, like the man, Sharon only submitted her report after seeing another article published by The Singular Fortean Society on a childhood sighting of the Easter Bunny.

While rare, reported encounters with mythological beings associated with major holidays are not unheard of.

In addition to the Easter Bunny sightings mentioned above, The Singular Fortean Society received a report in 2021 from witness Haley Pearce, who said that when she was eight years old, she had stepped outside of the Christmas Eve service at her local church in Lancaster, Ohio, only to see what appeared to be a sleigh pulled by reindeer flying overhead.

Researcher Stephen Wagner posted a list of over a dozen such sightings of Santa Claus that he has compiled to the website LiveAbout, updated most recently in 2019.

The witnesses in the encounters recorded by Wagner are almost exclusively children, with the lone outlier being a sighting of what was, in all likelihood, a perfectly normal human being.

The sighting reports are either partially or entirely anonymous and generally describe up-close encounters with Santa Claus inside of the witness’s home.

So far as the Singular Fortean Society is aware, the report submitted by Pearce very well could be the first such sighting to be given completely on the record.

Multiple competing hypotheses exist to explain these holiday-themed encounters, with the most skeptical including dreams, hallucinations, misidentifications, and outright hoaxes, while more paranormal explanations include Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and other such entities existing as living thoughtforms, along with the possibility that these images are being used as a disguise or otherwise projected by another, unrelated paranormal entity or phenomenon.

This most recent Easter Bunny encounter might favor the latter paranormal hypothesis, considering how the witness has experienced other unusual events that hint at a hidden reality surrounding us.

"Around the same time and years after [my sighting of the Easter bunny], there were instances of sleep paralysis and dreams that could be interpreted as premonitions such as family deaths and nightmares of environmental disasters," he said. "Strange occurrences...for example, the family dog would sleep at the foot of my bed, and I would find her locked outside of our house and she would be looking in my bedroom window growling at 1 a.m., or the living room couch cushions spread on the living room floor in a pattern. I would be accused of pranking by my mother in the morning. Strange noises of babies crying from the woods at night. My father would say it was cougars trying to lure prey."

'GLIMMER MAN' Manifests in Bedroom & Outside of House

A reader forwards two different encounters that he and his niece had with a 'Glimmer Man' entity at his home. What do you think these beings really are? Have you had a similar incident?

The following account was recently forwarded to me:

"First encounter: The date is July 14, 2018, two days after my birthday. At the time I and my girlfriend were living with my parents in their old old two-story brick house. Our room was upstairs. It was around 10 or 11 pm at night and I and my girlfriend are laying in bed. Nothing out of the ordinary was going on just a typical night just chilling out in bed.

First of all, let me mention I'm a grown man. Yes still live at my mom's house but still a grown man. I don't get scared easily. I'm not afraid of the dark or the boogeyman but this night is going to test my scaredness. I never even imagined in a million years something like this would ever happen, it was the furthest thing from my mind.

We are lying in bed and my girlfriend had to go downstairs to use the bathroom or something. Mind you, the bedroom light is on I'm lying in bed. The TV isn't on. Haven't watched it at all that day. But all of the sudden this is how I'm going to describe it as close as I can. Well, all of a sudden it feels like my bed is almost shaking or vibrating, in a sense me not understanding what is happening. I start looking around but as soon as I turn my head to the right I can see plain as day a silhouette of a human shape. But this human shape figure you could see straight through. It kind of looked like heat waves but in the distinct shape of a human, no mistake about it.

Ok, let me pause and do a recap. I came to realize that the bed shaking or vibrating was actually me trembling out of the fear way before I even saw anything. It's like my gut feeling was in tune trying to warn me. Back to me seeing the human shape see-through figure. I was just stuck in a stare or gaze of awe when suddenly I watched it walk to the foot of the bed, all the way right to my side of the bed, and in a split second my conscience said, "Get the f*ck up now and run." So, I jumped up and I swear I don't even remember walking down the stairs. I was gone that fast. Now mind you, my mom, my dad, my sister, and my girlfriend are all right there in the dining room when I bolt through the downstairs door. They looked at me and said what's wrong, you are as pale as a ghost. I kind of didn't want to say anything to them because let's be honest what if I told you that I saw a clear person? How the hell are you going to react? But, this is the weird part, we don't mention this to anyone.

About a week later, give or take, my niece comes over. She is 10 at the time and likes riding the four-wheeler trike. So she rides it for a little bit shorter than her usual ride and she comes in and she is pale as a ghost and we ask her what is wrong? What happened? She says please don't think I'm stupid but I saw an invisible person chasing me on the four-wheelers. It had a grown-up body but it was invisible it didn't have any facial features all you could see was just the shape or outline of a human-like body. I instantly got chills over my body. Well, I told her I knew exactly what she had seen because I had a similar experience a week before. I told her you're not crazy, it is real. I don't know what it is but I saw it too.

I have one more encounter with the same invisible shape being 4 years later. I want to say the same one but definitely the same invisible shape entity." EH

MEN IN BLACK Approach Muskegon, Michigan Lakefront Resident

A Muskegon, Michigan woman relates her encounters with possible Men in Black after several UFO sightings along Lake Michigan. These MIB also used an unknown piece of equipment during the investigation.

This is a follow-up inquiry to a report I received in 2014. I still looking for answers:

"Hi, Phantoms & Monsters - I found your blog while hunting for information on UFO investigations. A co-worker told me that some UFO investigators may be alien beings hired by the government and military. Is this true? I ask because something happened to me in early May 2014 that I cannot explain.

I live near Muskegon, Michigan, close to the Lake Michigan shoreline. Over the past 2 years, several neighbors and ourselves have witnessed many weird lights above the lake. During the last week of April, there were several 'strings' of red and white lights moving north above the lake. I noticed the lights twice on different nights.

The man across the street contacted a UFO group (I don't know the name of the group). He told my son that he had also seen unusual 'people' in his backyard from his bedroom window late one night. When he went out to confront them, they were gone. This happened just two days after he filed a UFO report online.

On two consecutive nights, my son and I saw spotlights shining from the shore of the lake. There was a field, a narrow road, and a berm between our house and the lake. It looked like the spotlights may have been mounted on vehicles. On both nights this occurred around 11 PM and lasted for only a few minutes.

A few days later (May 4th about 2 PM) I was out in the backyard working in my garden. A man dressed in black military garb had entered through my back gate and walked towards me. I stopped what I was doing and waited for him to say something. He wore glasses that were tinted yellow, which stood out because everything else on him was black. He also wore a plain black cap, there was no insignia.

When got close he looked directly at me, without expression, and asked if I had noticed lights over the lake. I explained what we had seen and any other information I thought would help. He wrote everything down in a small notebook, rarely saying a word, other than 'Anything else?'

When I finished he asked if I had reported the sightings. I told him the man across the street said he contacted a UFO group. Then asked 'But did you contact anyone?' I said no. Then I asked him what group he was with. He just looked at me and said 'Thank you for cooperating.' That was very weird because I felt that there was something not right about this man. I guess it was intuition, but I was creeped out.

On Saturday, May 9th around 10:30 PM there were more lights coming from the lake shoreline. This time I decided to walk over and see what was going on. My son, who was 17, came with me. He was just as curious as me. We walked through the yard, across the field then over the berm to the shoreline. There were five black Land Rover-like vehicles about 100 yards south along the shoreline. There were also a dozen or more men in black garb moving about. As soon as one of these men noticed us he shouted 'There!' and came running towards us. He had a 3 ft. long light-colored baton with a yellow light on the end. Two other men came running towards us as well.

The man with the baton yelled 'You must leave at once - this is a national security operation.' My son asked who they were, but never received an answer to that question. One of the other men, who I believe was a superior said 'You must leave the area immediately - go back to your home. A representative will contact you in a day or two.' We agreed and promptly left and went home.

I have not been contacted by anyone since that night. My son and I went back to the shoreline and looked around, hoping that we could find something that could help us understand what had happened. There was nothing.

I believe that they may have discovered something of importance, just by the way they reacted to us. Is there any way of finding out who these guys were and what they were doing?" JR

NOTE: I contacted JR by email and explained that this type of activity is not uncommon after specific sightings, especially those sightings that occur several times. I suppose you could call this a MIB scenario. The baton with the light is interesting. It was the first time I had heard of that piece of equipment being present during an encounter. After many years, I still have not received any further information pertaining to these incidents. Lon
