WRIGHT’S NEWS
THE FIGHTS: We had a blast. We had a great night with demonstrations, promotions, guest stars, fights and more!!! This was a great start for fighters to get experience in the ring. We had 330 spectators watching the fights. Team Wright won every fight. For two of the fights we were guaranteed a win. Why? Because both fighters were from Wright’s eXtreme Martial Arts. We normally don’t put guys from the academy against each other but their original fighters backed out. They’re many guys that want to say their fighters but few that will have the courage to actually train and do it. Wright’s had opponents that took fights from other organizations and academies and we had opponents that were independent.
Why was this fight such a success?
- fighters received more experience
- it put some of the fighters one step closer to becoming a professional
- two other promoters of bigger venues were there to watch the fights
- one of the promoters offered two of our fighters title shots in their upcoming event
- the other promoter offered one of the fighters a title shot in his event
- we promoted the school in a positive way
- we had great students receive awards and get promoted
- we helped out one of our sponsors
- we had a great time
If you missed the fights, I really want to inspire you to get more involved with the school. There are few avenues in life to develop a network of friends, events and self improvement like Wright’s offers!
MILESTONE AT WRIGHT’S
This month we had great success in a number of areas. Once again Wright’s earned ranks in the top 100 martial arts schools in the county. We promoted our first female in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Nohelia Gulliot, to Blue Belt. Wright’s promoted our first teen to Green Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and to Junior Blue Belt in Pancrase, Aaron Cullman. We had UFC fighter Charuto do a seminar at the academy. We promoted a over 50 students to different ranks in martial arts. It is a great time to be part of the team and to be in the martial arts.
Wright’s Personal Guarantee
Simply put, we are the best school in this area! How do we know?
We own our facility with full time certified staff. We have been in business longer than any other school in Onslow County. I’m not talking about someone that teaches here and there over the years. We are a full time school. We have the highest quality equipment for your safety. We spared no expense! We have the most complete detailed curriculum. You can achieve ranks in multiple disciplines of the martial arts. Traditional arts, combative arts, sport, and grappling arts. We have trained state and national champions. We have developed dozens of professional fighters. Our school is where the professional fighters come when getting ready for a fight. Between just 3 of our professional fighters on staff we have over 100 years of experience in training fighters and martial artist. On the children’s side of the training we have earn national and world recognition for our character education programs.
Now-a-days with facebook, emails, websites and other mass media many people make bold statements of how good they are, how hard they train, what their tournament team did, what a fighter did and many other claims. At Wright’s we respect all martial arts and martial artist. If there is someone better in Onslow county than the staff at Wright’s we would recommend them too you. For example if you want to do Kung fu we would tell you to go see Master Frost or if you only want to do Judo we would send you to Master Mayfield. If you want the most complete martial art black belt success system it is here at Wright’s. Here is the proof; Three of the other schools in Onslow County were students at Wright’s. Their success came when they were training at Wright’s. The karate instructors were promoted by Sensei Wright. ALL of the jiu jitsu and MMA practitioners have already been tapped out by Sensei Wright. The fact that they left their instructor to compete against the very team that gave them their start shows their character.
So here is the 90 day guarantee.
Train for 90 days and take classes in every discipline. If you can find a more complete school with a more detailed curriculum, that has more classes, and more opportunities to train, that has trained more champions and professionals, I will give you all your money back for your lessons, your gear, and any other merchandise you have purchased in that 90 days. I know if you take the 90 days and train you’ll find we are the most qualified highest trained personals in the area. Wright’s has the champions! Wright’s make champions in the martial arts and in life!

karate students and parents
Hello students,
This month’s theme was COURAGE. As martial artists we attempt difficult things that we know will help us grow, we use courage not to follow the crowd and we use our courage to inspire others to do the same.
The following children’s story can help us relate to the courage it takes every time we face a new challenge in our martial arts training and in life.
A young prince had never seen a real dragon before, but he had heard of dragons and knew of their great strength and of the hot fire they could breathe out of their nostrils. One day he went for an early ride on his favorite horse. He was galloping down the path into the woods and as he turned a corner, he found himself face to face with a dragon. He could have turned his horse and ran, and maybe he could have escaped, but the dragon was heading for the town and would surely hurt or kill the people. With his heart beating fast with fright, the prince drew his sword and charged straight at the dragon. The dragon was so stunned by the prince’s courageous charge that it turned and ran away. The dragon was gone and the kingdom was saved.
As you continue your martial arts training you will face the dragon many times. The dragon isn’t a fire breathing serpent but rather FEAR and DOUBT that can set in as you graduate from one belt to the next, knowing that you will be facing a new set of challenges that may seem to extend beyond your abilities.
June 24th is graduation day. During the event you are going to see an awesome display of the various programs we teach at Wright’s which include Karate, MMA, BJJ, Combat Fitness and our amazingly fun demo team program. If you haven’t had the opportunity or COURAGE to try one of these programs we are going to give you an opportunity to do so on Friday June 24th. We will have a special schedule that day with each class available for you to try. Then, if you decide you would like to start training in one of these programs we will award you your new uniform at graduation along with your new rank!
We are enclosing a coupon for $100 off the Master’s Club program that you can use on Friday June 24th if you decide you would like to add any new program of study to your existing program.
Congratulations in advance on your upcoming promotion. I look forward to seeing you take the next step toward black belt excellence.

Definition of Perseverance:
When you have made a commitment to a goal, purpose, or direction, stick to it until it is accomplished. Never give up at the first sign of trouble or when obstacles stand between you and your chosen destination. All successful people possess perseverance.
This is Sensei Wright and I want to tell you I am 100 percent dedicated to your success. My goal for every one is to be a Black Belt. I have seen the power it gives people. The Black Belt Success Formula is a way of life. I will make a promise to you. The journey to Black Belt will not be easy. I promise there will be times you want to quit. I promise you will get hit or sore muscles and possibly bleed on occasion. I also promise that if you achieve your Black Belt it will be one of the greatest accomplishments of your life.
If you get used to blaming others for your failures you will not be successful. If you give up because it doesn’t go your way, you will not be successful. If you give up when you get hurt, or your feelings hurt or you’re not as good as someone else, if you cry and complain about perceived problems you will not be successful.
I promise you if you push through all the issues, problems, pain, hurt somethings and keep on track and keep going you will be successful. Be a Black Belt! Strive for Black Belt Excellence!

Be so strong that the boogie man sleeps with the light on because he is afraid of you.
Be so bad that you make medicine sick.

WE ARE ON A QUEST TO BE OUR BEST
NO EXCUSES!!!!
TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!
DON’T GOSSIP.
WORK HARD.
Friday is testing. Be ready. Know your requirements.
This is Sensei Wright, I’m here to help you reach the goal of Black Belt. I’m not perfect, me and my staff make mistakes, we forget things, we don’t always get it right. We fall, we fail, we get hurt……WE KEEP GOING. That is what makes us the best. I recently received my Black Belt from Professor Jerry Reoder. It was over an eight year process. I’m 43 years old. People said I could not make a living doing martial arts. I didn’t quit. The point is I keep going. My intent is pure. I want the best for my family, my staff, my students, and myself. We offer the highest quality of martial arts in the Onslow County and surrounding areas. We have trained national champions, 40 Black Belts, 23 Cage Fighting Belt holders, improved confidence in hundreds of children. We have a great program and it is continuously getting better. I encourage you to take advantage of everything we offer. It will make you great. You will get out of it what you put into it. Don’t complain, don’t be part of a problem be the solution, don’t make excuses, strive for Black Belt.
Most people that start in the martial arts quit within the first 100 days. Don’t be average. Be great. Make the commitment to Black Belt.
On Friday you will witness students that will get double and triple promoted. Why?? Because they put the time in and worked hard and deserve it. Celebrate with them, honor them. If you put in the time and work hard it can happen to you!
GET YOUR BLACK BELT.
