Title: SerendipityAuthor: Airicka PhoenixGenre: Adult Contemporary RomanceHosted by: Lady Amber’s PR
Blurb: Everyone has a past, some worse than others, but not everyone has the eyes of the world watching their every move. For playboy hot shot movie star James Crowe, his mistake has haunted him for more than a decade. They’re not supposed to find their Prince Charming in bed with another woman the morning of. But when fairy tales turn to dust, what's a girl to do? She sets off on her honeymoon alone, of course. Only Audrey Humphrey’s bad day doesn’t end there when she finds her dream paradise already occupied by a jerk with a gorgeous face and a stubborn streak as wide as hers. Just a recap
Hey guys,
I thought i would write a blog post about what i've been up to since my last one.
After the stress of the last release, i went on a much needed holiday.
Cruising.
It's nothing something i ever thought i'd do as i tend to get bad motion sickness. And yes, i was ill most of the time, but those herbal sea sick pills are the best!
I really enjoyed my cruise. We boarded Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas to the north island of New Zealand and New Caledonia.
New Zealand was absolutely amazing and i wish i had more than 3 days there.
I got to visit the beautiful Bay of Islands, venture into a glow worm cave (it was so dark and cold but the little bugs were bright and looked like stars. It was easy to forget you were in a cave) and see the majestic and ancient Kauri trees. Then we sailed to Tauranga and i finally got to go to Hobbiton! OMG it was more than words can express. It was surreal that i was actually there.Next stop was Auckland.
I just love visiting cities of the world. It's one of the things on my bucket list - visit almost all the capital cities of the world. Auckland did not disappoint. It was a gorgeous day. My mum and i went up to the Sky Tower and i conquered my fear of heights by peering through the glass panels in the floor to the ground way below. It was freaking scary. Then we went up higher to the top observation deck and that was even scarier but i got some amazing photos and vantage points of the entire harbour. Then we devoured a much needed coffee, and Oh my God! After living on bad american coffee for a few days, we were dying for 'real' coffee. Kiwi coffee is even better than Aussie coffee. It was divine.
After we inhaled our incredible coffee, we caught a ferry across the harbour, 45 minutes to Waiheke island because it was such a glorious sunny day. Waiheke Island is known as the Island of Wine, so of course, when on the Island of Wine, what do you do? We caught the bus a minute up the road from the pier and checked out the shops. As we were short on time and had to be back at the ship by 5pm, we found a bar and had a glass of wine. Now, we usually drink Kiwi wine at home, so we knew it was going to be good. And it was! I wanted to stay there longer, but we had to get back to Auckland, so we grabbed a NZ icecream and boarded the bus that would take us back to the pier.If you have never tried kiwi icecream, you are missing out! It was the best icecream i have ever tasted. In fact, all the dairy i had over there was the best i have ever tasted.
Fate is funny. Fate is clever. On the ferry back to Auckland, we talked to a lovely Kiwi lady who was on a holiday with her family. We talked about what we each were doing on our trip, and when i mentioned i was an author, she said she may have heard of me. I wrote down my details and she said she was going to look me up. She also said that her niece was an author too. I wish i can remember exacly who she said, Kate or Kelly Curaro? I'm not sure of the spelling. Because i was on holidays i didn't do anything about it. Oh, well. It's funny the people you meet while travelling.
On the ship, i also met some lovely people. I got hit on by a handsome room attendant from Guatamala. It was nice testing out my spanish on him. LOL. Seriously though, it might just be that many of the international people on there hadn't seen a woman in who knows how long, or something. I don't know what it was, but i felt attractive for maybe the first time in my life. I was always that weirdo nerd girl that nobody wanted to sit with in the school playground and not being able to get a boyfriend, at 28 years old i was now finding that i was attracting the attention of the opposite sex. What happened? Lol. I haven't done anything different. I made friends with one of my waiters at dinner, a cute Filipino guy the same age as me. I made a passing comment about wanting to learn more languages, and he wrote down a page full of filiopino phrases on the back of the dessert menu, so i could quote, "remember your favourite dessert". I don't know if i'm reading more into it than i should, but he could have picked any other set of phrases for me to learn. He kept telling me i was beautiful. *shrugs*.
It felt good and it was a great mood lifter.
That was the gist of my holiday, now it's back into work and book stuff.
I've already been working hard to bring you the next book. I don't want to rush or stress the process so i am taking my time with each book this year so i'll enjoy being an author again.
It was nice not being on social media for 2 weeks, but i've missed you guys and it's nice to be back.
Oh, and if you missed my latest spontaneous cover reveal the other day, i'll share them with you here as well as the pre-order links. The Kindle links will be available on their release days.

The Dark and the Light - Release Day thoughts
As many of you may know, it's release day for my latest book.
And it wouldn't be release day without a blog post sharing my thoughts and random musings.
The writing of this book, The Chronicles of Light and Dark almost didn't happen. This book almost never got written. It was during the first draft that i lost two souls close to me - my beloved puddy tat Smokey, whom had been in our lives for almost 14 years, and my Nanna.
Smokey had the pleasure of knowing and growing up with 3 dogs and my family's lives now have a gaping black void in it. It's been 5 months to the day we had to say goodbye to our precious boy, who we nicknamed Prince Smokey, Momo and Yoghurt boy, among others. Hopefully soon we will introduce a new furry family member, when the time is right.
I don't want this post to be miserable. I want to relish in the fact that I'm nearly 28 and have published 19 stories.
I want to relish in the fact that this book has finally made it to the stores and your hands. It is out in the world and i couldn't be more proud.
But mostly anxious and a little nervous, because this book is a little piece of my soul and i chose to share it with you. I don't know if it's my best work to date. Some of you may beg to differ, but considering the hurdles i went through to bring this book to you, i am proud i made it this far.
I hope you enjoy my most recent release.
My next release probably won't be until feburary or march 2016 because i'll be taking a much needed holiday over Christmas and the new year and will get back to writing when i relaxed and refreshed.
So what can you expect next from me?
Feb/ March - Thirst
April/May - Third Eye
And my series of short story pieces for an Anthology where proceeds will go to helping animals in need. The anthology will be published sometime in the early new year. More info to come.
You can get your copy of The Chronicles of Light and Dark at the following retailers:
Amazon: eBook Paperback

Nook:
Kobo
More paperback retailers coming in the next few weeks.

“Happily ever after is hers for the taking.”Once upon a time I found myself locked away in Spindle Ridge Asylum, punished for a murder I didn’t commit. It was all part of Maleficent’s evil plan. I didn’t remember who I was then … now I do. My name is Aurora, and I am the rightful queen of this realm. Armed with my memories, I’m ready to take charge of my kingdom once more. Happily ever after evades me, yet I long to claim it with my true love, Sawyer, beside me. That fairy tale ending seems impossible with him locked in the thralls of a sleeping curse. As much as I’d love to sit by his bedside and eagerly await a cure, I must first travel into the terrifying Dark Woods to stop Raven from stripping me of all that is rightfully mine. I am not only a queen, but a warrior who will fight for her kingdom. Some may die. Blood will be shed. But when this ending comes, I will settle for nothing less than a blissful ever after.

SlumberNot all princesses get their happily ever after… They tell me I killed my boyfriend Phillip in cold blood. I stabbed him twenty one times. I’m only seventeen years old, and I am serving life in Spindle Ridge Asylum for the Criminally Insane. I don’t remember killing him, so it’s really hard to believe I’m capable of murder. In fact I don’t remember anything before I came to Spindle Ridge, not even my boyfriend.I can only grasp onto my realistic dreams while the madness of the asylum threatens to pull me under. I dream I’m a beautiful princess and there is an evil faerie named Maleficent who is bent on my destruction. The dreams are the closest thing I have to memories of my life, except they aren’t real. I’m crazy. I’m not a princess. They’re the mad illusions of an irrational teenage girl, right? They’ve assigned me a new doctor, and she says I can trust her, and that she’ll help me see the truth of who I really am. When she arrived she brought a new patient, Sawyer, who is everything Spindle Ridge isn’t: exciting, mysterious and beautiful. He promises he’s here to rescue me. Trusting either of them frightens me. Could it be possible that my dreams are more than just the imaginings of a delusional girl? Could they be truth? The Chronicles of Light and Dark Cover Reveal
I'm beyond excited to share this cover with you. It is my favourite yet.
There is a bit of a story behind this and i've been dreaming of it since the idea for the Legend of the Archangel came to me.
The book itself is mostly about Lakyn and his journey thus far. It was very emotional to write and i really hope you don't hate me after you read it. i promise the events in the book happen for a reason and i do have big plans for certain characters in the last book.
I wanted to have Lakyn on the cover first and foremost. But the trouble was finding a model or stock photo that embodied him - nothing truly captured the essense of my Lakyn… until i met Daniel.
I met Daniel Ford through my cover designer, Regina Wamba. He is a musician, model and all round nice guy. He is also hilariously funny. Make sure you check out his Facebook page (and watch his short films. Did i also mention he's a ridiculously talented film producer?) and give it a like and say hi. Say i sent you.Daniel had the 'look' i was after, handsome yet rugged. The best part was, he was thrilled to be a part of this project!
Daniel IS Lakyn.
So without further ado, i give you the cover for The Chronicles of Light and Dark.
What do you think???
I think the cover perfectly captures the story and the feeling i was after. All i wanted was the black and white feathers, and Lakyn's Trait shown (the ability to heal shown physically with purple/blue light.) I didn't even give Regina many details. She is just THAT good.
The Chronicles of Light and Dark will be available November 30th.

The Chronicles of Light and Dark will be available November 30th.
