A touching review of The Ponemah Years

Take a look...The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, a leading homeschooling support organization, published a beautifully reflective book review of The Ponemah Years: Walking in the Footsteps of My Mother. They also reviewed my first book with an equally engaging review five years ago.

When a beautiful old building beckons...

My reflections about the story behind a recent book appearance. It left me pondering --- do buildings possess an essence, like people or other living things?

Happy 5th Birthday "Robin" - and Thank You ACM

UNTIL the ROBIN WALKS on SNOW was published 5 years ago this week. Coincidentally, the Australian College of Midwives notified me this past week that a review of "Robin" was published recently in their official journal. I want to thank all the readers who have supported this story based on the determination of my family and their midwife to save my uncle in 1922, when at 1.5 pounds, he had less than a one percent chance of surviving. I am honored and so pleased to share the review from ACM. To see it, check out my TW feed @UNTILtheROBIN or my FB page at Bernice.L.Rocque.Author.

Sensory Storytelling - DIY online class

Would you like to increase the sensory depth in your writing? Take a look at this free DIY online writing class, based on a recent agenda used by the local writing group I facilitate. Triskele Books is featuring the short version (30-90 min), and also a cross-link to the 2-4 hour version posted on my author site blog. The interactive exercises are suitable to do by yourself, with a writing buddy, or with a writing group. Let me know what you think... https://triskelebooks.blogspot.fr/201...

Major update in Preemie Care

Is there a new preemie in your extended family? Here is a news item on a major study just out of Harvard and Boston Children's Hospital about the skin to skin method. As readers of UNTIL the ROBIN WALKS on SNOW discover, this approach contributed largely in saving my uncle, a 1.5 Lb preemie in 1922.
