Deathsworn Arc : The Last Dragon Slayer - Re-released!

I have a great new cover, a freshly edited and revised version and I am really pleased with it! I think Isis Sousa has done an incredible job with the cover and the text is much, much tighter.

Going through and trying to improve the book has really taught me two lessons.

1:Don't rush to publish.
2:Get at least 3 people to read, edit and correct before release.

I'm still not certain it's 100% perfect, but I'm 100% certain it's a lot closer. Without going to a professional editor and losing out financially I don't know what more I can do!

Important Notice to Anyone who has purchased 'Deathsworn Arc: The Last Dragon Slayer'

Have you purchased The Last Dragon Slayer?

Is your version number earlier than 6.1?

Please, please consider updating to the latest version, it's infinitely superior and the latest Verkreath Horror is too!

It's really easy to update, just email this email address:-

kindle-generalist@amazon.com

From your Amazon Kindle Linked Email and ask to swap your book for the latest version.

Use the ASIN to identify the one you want updating. For book 1, 'The Last Dragon Slayer' it's : ASIN: B009ECABOA

For book 2 'The Verkreath Horror' it's ASIN: B00BU8DS0A

I promise you will get a much better version. You will lose any highlighting or notes and that kind of thing - but I honestly think it's worth it.

This won't be a regular need, when I started out I assumed people got updates automatically. It turns out even if you bought it, deleted it and removed it from your library - you are still locked into an archive version unless you request the new version!

This won't be an issue affecting book 3 'The Blood Queen' it's limited to the first two books and any changes in future will be so minor they won't be worth doing.

If anyone has any problems updating to the latest version let me know and I will try to assist.

All the best,

Martyn Stanley

PS: The Countdown deal is still on! If you enjoyed The Last Dragon Slayer why not tell your friends? It's going for a song on Amazon at the moment!

Great review, a little 'spoiler-heavy' though.

Also, don't forget! If you bought an earlier version of 'The Last Dragon Slayer' or 'The Verkreath Horror' please email:-

kindle-generalist@amazon.com

To request the latest version the ASIN's for both are:-

'The Last Dragon Slayer' : ASIN: B009ECABOA

'The Verkreath Horror' : ASIN: B00BU8DS0A

The Blood Queen Draws Closer!

I have finally given my wonderful cover artist and fellow author Isis Sousa some much needed direction.

I hasten to add that her original art was superb, she captured my vision perfectly. The trouble was, when I presented that vision to my beta-reader team, they thought it looked too modern. I hate admitting I'm wrong, but as a writer, trying to create a better product - it's critical that I can.

On this occasion I was wrong, we talked about some ideas on how to rectify the image, which will mean a little dabbling with some descriptions so the text fits the cover - but I think the result will be stunning.

I'm really excited about this book, I expect the cover to be really exciting and enticing - it will be the first time I release a brand new book with a professional cover off the bat so hopefully it will kick-start the sales machine.

'The Blood Queen; - Add it now!

I've created the file for 'The Blood Queen'

The Blood Queen

It's not finished. I've come upon an issue that warrants some jiggery pokery, in order to keep the characterization realistic.

Personally I think my original version of events was fine. However my beta-reader, come muse, come editor thinks otherwise and he's read a lot more books.

It will slow me down, but I'm still aiming to get the book fully edited and polished and released for mid July.

I will try to announce the release date a week in advance.
