June Greeting
~ June greeted me with a yellow and black butterfly. I watched it flutter in and out of the trees in the backyard, like golden flower petals swaying in the breeze.Image courtesy of Pixabay

Mythologie Candle - Secret Garden
~ Do you like scented candles? Lately, I've been perusing different scented candle companies trying to find the best one. I've come to the conclusion that I can't pick just one, each has their own special fragrances though others have much better (lower) prices. Some great scented candle companies are Goosecreek Candles, Bath and Body Works, and DW Home. I've been a fan of Mythologie Candle

May Greeting
~ May greeted us with rain! It wasn't in the weather forecast the day before when I checked. Woke up to everything cool and wet outside. Now, if it would only stay cool for another 6 months. The white roses are also in bloom on the hillside and they look beautiful, as always.

Abandoned 1860's Pink Victorian Mansion - Found Room for Underground Railroad
~ Watched this video yesterday and thought it was interesting. I hate seeing such a rundown Victorian mansion like this and can only imagine how it used to look in all its beauty and pink splendor back in the day. The woodwork is lovely, pretty doorknobs, and arched doorways. The craftsmanship is one-of-a-kind and the exterior is beautiful beyond words, you can't take your eyes off of the pink

Germander Sage
~ Spring is one of my favorite seasons, when the yard blooms with beautiful plants and flowers. I finally found out what the name of this specific plant is, that grows in our backyard. It is called Germander Sage. I love the grey-green leaves and the periwinkle blooms that arrive in Spring.

April Greeting
Image courtesy of Pixabay~ April greeted me with a hummingbird + nest. I noticed a hummingbird fly out of a tree in the backyard, found it curious and decided to take a closer look. Sure enough, there was a small nest there that looked incomplete. I wasn't sure if the nest was damaged at first because of all the heavy rain we've received, so I checked on the nest again today and it was bigger

March Greeting
March greeted us with...snow! Yes, here in Southern California we got a bit of the white stuff. Haven't seen it here since 2011 so it was a great shock and cool surprise for this area. Just a note, I have seen snow before, having lived in Washington state and Wyoming but this was something unique and memorable.
