Picture What attracted you to writing in the first place?
I came to writing from my love of reading. While growing up, I lost myself in books in order to escape an unhappy childhood.

How has your upbringing influenced your writing?
I think authors who face a lot of pain and anguish seem to write stories with great depth, with honesty and compassion. It could be that dealing with trauma brings out the best (or worst) in people. I believe that losing my mother at such a young age had a huge imp...

Krystal Shannan's Stop on the Wet and Wild Blog Hop!

Picture So many great prizes! Welcome to my stop on the Wet and Wild Blog Hop!
Summer is my favorite time of the year! Lots of great weather, I don't ever have to wear shoes, and clothing is very light, LOL. But most of all, I have a lot of extra time to read!

What do you like to read? Paranormal? Contemporary? Historical?

I read a little bit of everything. For Paranormal some of my favorite authors are Sherrilyn Kenyon, Carrie Ann Ryan, Kresley Cole, and Shelly Laurenston.

Krystal Shannan Interviews Author Allie Boniface

Picture Did you always want to be an author?

Yes, always yes. I was the kid in elementary school who was writing stories when I was supposed to be doing math. Or science. Or anything else, really. I'd create these little books out of my spiral notebook paper, staple the edges together, and pencil in my earliest covers. I started reading when I was 3 and loved language from that moment on!

What made you choose to write romance?

I'm one of those unusual romance authors who didn't read a lot of i...

Krystal Shannan's #SneakPeekSunday -WIP - 5/12/2013

Picture Daryl Stevens opened the door slightly. “You have to go and hide now, Maggie, Lady Dei. You must go. I’ll stay with my daughter.”

“Daryl, I’ll not leave your daughter like this. You go ahead and take Maggie. We’ll be as quiet as we can. Douse all but the fire in the pit and go. Perhaps they will have pity on a woman having a baby. Perhaps they will pass us by altogether.”

“Lady Dei, your father will have my head on a platter.”

“Daryl! Take Maggie and go. The platter will be for my hea...

April London's New American Historical Romance! THE REBEL SPY

Picture Tamsyn Moody wants to go home to her mother and leave war-ravaged Virginia behind her. She doesn't think her husband will ever return, and staying alone in their cabin with their five-year-old daughter isn't safe any more. But when her mortally wounded husband appears and makes a dying request, she can't refuse him - no matter what the danger may be.

James Steele is tired. Tired of war. Tired of death. Tired of being alone. With the end of the war imminent, he looks forward to reconnecting...
