My first novel is being re-released

By Permuted Press! Glad to have a bigger, domestic publisher to help promote this! New edit and cover to follow! My next novel will be a sequel, and Permuted Press also wants to put this out.

I'll be doing the cover painting and interior artwork, much the same as I did with my last book.

American Conspiracies: Lies, Lies, and More Dirty Lies that the Government Tells Us

American Conspiracies: Lies, Lies, and More Dirty Lies that the Government Tells Us American Conspiracies: Lies, Lies, and More Dirty Lies that the Government Tells Us by Jesse Ventura

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Not a bad book. Jesse clearly isn't an accomplished writer, and his script comes off a bit simplistic and homely. That, coupled with the fact that he's not real thorough with the references and minutia that would bring all his theories to life, tends to take some of the wind out of the sails. That said, he has a multitude of ideas, and a few little know facts. That, combined with the well documented history of lies and deception our government engages in, lend credence to some of his more well grounded ideas.
I've read a multitude of better well written and researched work, put out by the likes of Jared Leto and James Loewen. Complex and well elucidated, their work still proves controversial, so the mixed opinions about Jesse's ideas are hardly proof of their invalidity. It has also proven to be the case that people on to something that isn't currently popular with the mainstream tend to be dismissed and ridiculed. Even when their "crazy ideas" eventually prove to be correct. So, if nothing else, some of Jesse's outlandish conspiracies are well worth a second look, and some have already proven to be way more persuasive than the majority of American people would like to accept. In fact some, such as the 9/11 bit, are already taken as fact by the majority of Europeans. So, if nothing else, this book is a quick read, and well worth the look.

Cover art for Skin Deep

Skin Deep is putting out a new magazine on horror, and the first issue will feature me, Paul Acker, and Paul Booth. They asked me to do the cover art. I did the black and white illustration, and sent it off to Ken Haeser of Living Corpse fame to color it. Here's my illustration in black and white

New illustrations almost out!

I just painted the cover for the new Needle Art Convention in Breda, Netherlands! Check it out at http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbi...
I'm working on a Creepshow inspired cover for Skin Art's new Horror Magazine. I have three new comic strips due for TAM, a double splash page that is drawn but still needs to be inked for the new issue of Living Corpse, and the last story for my anthology of short stories, due out via Anarchy Press hopefully this year. I need to finish up 4 full page illustrations for that collection (I already have 4 done), and I have a full convention schedule of about 20 appearances this year! I think I should slow down eventually...

Short story collection is almost finished!

I'm working now on the last of what will be 7 short stories for my upcoming collection. The previous 6 range from about 15-25 pages, but this last one entitled "Down Highways in the Dark" will be essentially a novella. It entails the travails of a teenager who slips between dimensions and reads the minds of the dead and dying. All my stories exist in roughly the same universe as my novel, and there's a small tip of the hat towards this in the novella.
Once it's done, I will have illustrations for each short story, several of which are already started, and hopefully will be done in the next few months. Keep an eye out! The horror has just begun!
