I'm so happy you were a Giveaway winner, Christy! I hope you enjoy the book.

In answer to your question, I'm a big fan of outlining. Thrillers rely on an escalation of tension, and for me to be able to do that, I like to plot everything out in advance. For me personally, it makes the first draft much smoother. In fact, that's something I touch on in my upcoming blog post for next week.

Thank you!(less)

Phenomenal memoir. Poignantly written and brilliantly narrated by Davis herself. Hearing about her journey from a child living in utter poverty to an Oscar-winning actress was remarkable and inspiring. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

“You probably wouldn’t worry about what people think of you if you could know how seldom they do.”
Olin Miller

“We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.”
E.M. Forster

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
