Time for a Book Release!

Hey guys!

Guess it's been awhile but I've been keeping pretty busy. Or rather...I guess life has been keeping me pretty busy. I've been writing away, looking for editors and just all out working on stuffs. ;-)

Haha, not to mention the World Cup.
Oh yeah! And I guess I should say...that I'm pregnant! I'm pretty excited at this point, I'm going to find out what the gender is in about a month so fingers crossed! I can't wait to know!!

But in book news, I will be releasing the third book in my Shakespeare for Everyone Else series. A lesser known play called All's Well That Ends Well. I hope you will all check it out. The cover reveal will be on July 9th and the book will be released on July 15th. I'm so excited!

Well, I guess that's all for now! I hope everyone has a good one, keeps reading and doesn't forget about a little old event called the World Cup 2014. :-D

All's Well That Ends Well

It's soon going to be time for another YA Shakespeare Translation. I'm pretty excited about the release of this one because it's not one of The Bard's more popular tales so people may have less to compare it to. It's so hard to write translations for those super popular stories like Much Ado... and Othello. I'm happy to try out something that perhaps isn't as well known. Once again, the cover will be done by the amazing Regina over at Mae I Design and Photography and I think she did a great job! I can't wait to have a cover reveal...speaking of which...I should probably work on setting that up!!

Have a good one people and happy reading to all!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Not really an update but my blog needed to be different because I think it was from December like the day before Christmas? That's a long time! I can't believe how quickly time is flying this year already. Is it seriously heading towards March?

Craziness. But since it is Valentine's Day I was thinking about movies that give me the warm fuzzies and I realize that it's just not the same. I'm a horror buff and while I luuuuuvvvvv Shoujo Manga I'm not always one for romantic movies. I have no idea why but when my hubs asked me which cute movie I wanted to watch tonight, I literally had no idea! Can't you watch a horror movie on Valentine's Day? Is that a crime?

Disney!!

I know it's not the most exciting thing in the world, but I was just over the moon when my husband came home from work today and showed up with a blu ray copy of The Little Mermaid just in time. This area is due for a ton of snow tomorrow so I was a little worried about what I was going to do in-between reading and writing and he was just kind enough to solve the problem. I love him for that. But it got me thinking about my other favorite Disney movies of all time so as always I put together a list of my top 10.

10. The Rescuers Down Under
9. The Great Mouse Detective
8. Aladdin
7. Tarzan
6. The Lion King
5. Cinderella
4. Tangled
3. Beauty and the Beast
2. Hercules

......
.....
...
And number one goes to ....

1. The Little Mermaid!

What about you all out there?

Shakespeare for Everyone Else

So the time has finally come to publish a new book! I've been really excited about this and though it's been challenging due to my love of horror movies and all things fall and Halloween, I am ready to publish my fourth book!

This one will be the first in a series called Shakespeare for Everyone Else and will be YA retellings of his amazing plays. The first one? Much Ado About Nothing! So excited for this because it's one my favorite plays of his. I hope this story can do it justice. Cover reveal to come in a few days done by the amazing Regina of Mae I Design and Photography.

I can't wait to show it off! If you're a blogger or a reader out there who would like to read/review this book, please shoot me a message, I would be happy to send you an ecopy! Otherwise, I hope this will be out this weekend or at the very latest, some time next week. :-)

Happy reading to everyone!

Halloween!!

I'm the type of person who is totally in love with Christmas and the holiday season but honestly, you can't get there in the first place without my second favorite holiday...Halloween!

Pumpkin Spice drinks, sweaters and slippers. Those are all great but seriously, horror movies are the best part about this part of the season to me! Haha, it's odd because other than Stephen King I don't really care for horror books, but I can't get enough horror movies.

I think for a list this week, I'll do the top 10 horror movies that just make me love the Halloween season!!

1) Halloween (the first, the original, the one with Jamie Lee Curtis in the 70s)
2) The Shining (I've actually read this book and I can say Stanley Kubrick did an amazing job with his material)
3) House of 1000 Corpses (No judgement! This is the movie which reminded me how scary horror movies can be)
4) The Cabin in the Woods (a new favorite!)
5) Psycho (What else can I say? Every time it's on TV I just HAVE to watch it)
6) The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (I was surprised how much I liked this!)
7) Friday the 13th (This is slowly becoming one of my favorite movies, even outside the horror genre. No idea why.)
8) Carrie (Oh man...I'm nervous about the remake but I'm willing to give it a show. However, no can will compare to Sissy)
9) Night of the Living Dead (whoa...this legit creeped me out at the end. I couldn't imagine what it was like when people saw this for the first time.)
10) The Mist (Campy at the beginning but man it really got me thinking...)

I think next time I do a Halloween movie list I'll do movies that really actually SCARED me the first time I saw them. :-)

Until then, Happy Reading to all!

So Excited!

I checked to see how Permanent Shadows was doing on a whim today on Amazon and I had a very pleasant surprise! It was on a YA Kindle top 100 list!!

I couldn't believe it! If you guys haven't checked out Oath of Servitude or Permanent Shadows I really do hope that you'll do so. Each ebook is only 99 cents and every little bit helps! They're both YA Paranormal Romances.

Thanks so much for all your support to those who have read, reviewed, or even taken a look at either of these books. It means the world to me.

And for those who haven't...give them a try! It can't hurt! ;-)
