Character Sketch From Striker

So I promised a couple of weeks ago that I would post a few drawings for some of the characters from the Valespian Pact Series. I started off with Europa Astarte who is introduced in Striker.

I has been ages since I drew a proper picture but this first one isn't so bad. I used a mechanical pencil, a Q-tip, and my fingertips.

About half way through I began to wish for charcoals and stumps. My husband, being the sweet man he is, bought me a slew of drawing supplies that were delivered the d...

Fate and Destinies - A Quick Bite

Sometimes when I'm writing, I'll finish a sentence or a paragraph, and in that one moment, I'll sit back and reread what I've penned with a small smile because it's almost perfect.

One of the WIPs I'm close to finishing ("close" as to mean I've another 30k or so to write) Fate and Destinies. It is the full story that last summer's Fated only hinted at.

For those who haven't read Fate, it is a free read you can get here: (http://www.mmromancegroup.com/110465).

Because of restrict...

Character Sketch: Europa Astarte from Striker (Valespian Pact #2)

I noticed I haven't posted anything in a week, so I'm making it up to you with an early picture. I started with a character introduced in Striker, Europa Astarte. I wasn't going to show her off until she was finished, but I thought, maybe, I would post a series of pictures to show the progress as they were completed. I, of course, had this novel idea after I had made a good deal of progress on Europa. The others will have better progression posts. Promise. I haven't decided how many I'll do....

Striker Update

I just realized that I hadn't posted the tentative date for Striker's release. >.<  I apologize. I received the first round of edits at the same time and jumped right into them. I came across a couple of comments from the editor last night that just tickled me pink. I wanted to post one and realized I hadn't posted anything on Striker for a while.

June 4th is the tentative date given to me. Yay!

I've looked at this short except trying to think if it gave away any spoilers. I don't th...

Why Are My Feet In My Mouth? - Banned Subjects

I deleted a Facebook post today. I try to make sure my Facebook wall is clean of politics and religion. I think I'm adding 'fandoms' to the list.

You see, I typed up this rant over Hollywood's choice for Wonder Woman. I snarked on the body type not fitting my idea of my childhood hero when I could have simply said I didn't think she was a good fit. Someone I respected called me to the carpet and pointed out that what I said was terrible and made me look cold.

They had a point and I deleted my p...

Guest Post By LM Brown: Why Authors Are Like Magpies

  Why Authors are like Magpies

I suppose it must seem a little strange to compare authors to a breed of bird, but please bear with me whilst I explain.
Magpies, as I am sure you will know, are rather distinctive birds who are quite taken with shiny things, often stealing them for their own.  I recall as a child losing one half of a set of earrings that I had carelessly left on the ground whilst I was enjoying the summer sun.  The bird, with no regard at all for m...

William Cooper: Cabin Boys Blog Tour

Today I have a guest, William Cooper, who is touring this week with his new release, Cabin Boys. I have read several of William's stories and had several questions which he graciously answered. Thanks for stopping by William!!

I was looking through the books that I own that you wrote and I noticed they are all contemporary. Will you venture into fantasy/sci-fi or are you content to stay in contemporary?I don't have any plans to branch out into sci-fi or fantasy right now. I enjoy writing reali...

Movie Review: Capitol Games

Over the holidays I bought several movies I'd never seen before--which if you know me, it's really not that unusual anymore because I just don't watch much TV the last several years. I used to be a huge movie goer but found I prefer reading to watching, but there are times when I want to just be... you know?

One of the movies I bought was Capital Games. When I first started dipping my toe in the gay romance pool I naturally went to my local library. Surprisingly they had a great selection...
