Excerpt of Striker

Finally Woman!! This morning I completed the line edits and beta feedback review to submit  Striker (The Valespian Pact #2) to Less Than Three Press. Yay! #abouttime! After cuts and edits the manuscript was paired down to 87694 words. The longest story I submitted before this was Dreams of the Forgotten at a little over 64k, if I remember correctly. I was a little late with this. I had originally anticipated finishing the story by the end of August. With other...

Chapter Three - Leap of Faith

Last day! I wish this was longer. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed writing this little story. I hope you liked it. I'm thinking about adding another scene to this because I really want to know what they do when they get home. I think that will be a reward for myself when I finish writing Fate and Destinies.

Don't be shy if you have a comment. I am expanding it and would love to hear your thoughts. What would you like to see? Or if  I was thinking about doing a sequel, do you think the...

Chapter Two - Leap of Faith

Chapter Two

Dawson scowled at the crinkles at the corner of his blue eyes. Crow's feet. Laugh lines. Whatever they were called, they made him appear old. He grunted at his reflection, snatched up a towel, and started drying his dark hair. He could smell the breakfast Ben made. He didn't know that offering a hand to a stranger not quite a year ago would gain him a friend and business partner. He thought Ben would be with him two days—tops—until...

Chapter One Leap of Faith

As I said earlier this month I thought about posting a blog story. This is Not a blog story but a sort of test. I'm not sure how often I should post or how long so I'm going to mess around and yall get to watch me fumble around.

I donated a story for an anthology that I have the rights back to. It's a fluffy story. My first attempt at contemporary and only around 8k. I'm going to expand this and fill all of the spaces in between and give it a nice sexy afterwards. :) Alas, I have a few storie...

For anyone who is interested in the results of the survey you can see them HERE. I guess that answers the question on whether or not I should start a Newsletter. :)

How Do You Find Out About Book Releases?

RJ Scott asked a really good question. How do you know when I have a book releasing onto Amazon & other third parties? Or indeed how do you keep an eye on any of your authors?

Do you watch author websites, get release information from newsletters, review websites, word of mouth, or watch the Amazon or ARe's top 100 charts? I was looking at several marketing options for 2014 as to where to advertise for next year's releases. I have to put the money aside now for it but if a method isn't wor...

Shoot! Almost forgot!

I guest blogged over on Blak Rayne's blog about questions I asked in a moment of loss. If you get a second and hop on over. The article won't take up much of your time and will give something to think about when it comes to "someone's truth".

I Ran Out Of White Board

Last year about this time, I had 2013 plotted out. Which books I would write, how many releases I would have, what series I would work on, and list of splinter series I would work on plotting out.

Yeah...

So...

2013 did not turn out how I had planned.

It's a good thing that I'm not a stickler for sticking to plotlines or plans. I did have a hiccup when I scrambled to put together a new list of 'to dos'. I think maybe I hoped the train would miraculous jump back on the tracks,...

Flying By The Seat Of My Pants

Several hours form now (eastern time) NaNaWriMo starts. I had this BIG plan to have two weeks to plan out, finish my research, and basically get all my ducks in a row. I wanted to start off NaNo with bang. But to do that I needed to finish Striker (The Valespian Pact #2), go through my line edits, send it out to have it beta read, review the feed back, make the changes, and then sub it. This was supposed to be my October.

But that's not what happened.

A family visit and a week spent sick,...

Events For The Rest Of The Month

Hey guy! It has been a crazy month. I looked at the calendar last night and had a WTH moment because it specifically stated nine (9) days were left in October. Seriously? Yesterday was October 1st--or that is what it seems like.

The news-y bit for today is that Alpha Trine is spotlighted over at Blak Rayne's blog. Click Here to have a look.

On November 6th , Blak will post an article I wrote. It is about a question that I asked my dad after I lost a pet and how the answer colored how I viewed c...
