When All These Faces Melt Away…
Into the silence and down the fears; there sits a monster raging a storm inside my heart. Where do we go from here, where did we come from, where is my beginning, where is your end…
Sing and sing and sing some more. But every bird flies away sooner or later. So will this life fly out of our grasp one inevitable day.
Shining shoes and ironed coats and straight collars and glossy.buttons – can anything hide you from the face that drowns all this glamour in shadows? I’m that drug which spoils the head of the night, making it lose itself heavily to the serene stars and moon. Hanging upside down from your grave, you will find the insects that eat away your soul; leaving you rotten, dry, humid. Red, red, red. So red these walls I see. They reflect a hideous picture of your fears, my mistakes; your ignorance, my desires; your selfishness, my anger. The cracking of this shell we stay hidden in will echo through the silent columns of dreams.
Let go. Hold back on and let go again. That’s the game we play blindly. Aim for my heart but you’ll only hit a canvas with dried up colors peeling off from its sides. Slowly these taxis move here and there. The streets are home to the mischievous.
All our crashes and all our falls – watch it being murdered by the hand of fate. It breaks my mind and loosens the screws of my thoughts. Sit and watch the movie of our lives as it plays before a sleeping crowd.
For nothing will shine in our eyes; no tear will reflect any feeling and no smile will gleam; no frown will be deep enough and no word will be dancing joyously on the lips – when all these faces melt away.

Graffiti On My Heart
There is sometimes a blinding silence you feel on your shoulders, weighing you down. Till all the love in your heart runs out, you know where to lie down and give up your soul to the heavens and stars up above. I used to think I am all that I want to become. But time and mistakes have taught me that no one is ever what they want themselves to be; everyone is just an image of what others want them to be, of what the world expects of them. I cannot let go not because I fear, but because I care too much. This sun you see shining today is not lighting up empty streets and wet hearts. All we love and all we give is a matter of moments. When these walls I’ve built around my castle fall down, I will let fly my inner demons. Not as my fears, but as my soldiers. Everything breaks and everyone bends. The tears we cry today are the smiles we’ll lose tomorrow. Pack it all up and bury it in your soul. We make mistakes, thinking we will learn from them. Yet when the lesson learned requires to be applied, we fade away. We fade away into nothing but memories that forget to float on a cloud hovering in a mind. I look at all these people walking past me and I think to myself how isolated one can be even when surrounded by many. It’s not an unconditional love we desire but the infinite moment of its dire existence. Take your innocence and paint it red. That is how all evil is born. Our minds may wander; our hearts may be empty; our souls may be broken…but nothing is ever perfect either. Diamonds & Blood
I was lost in the gleam of the morning sun and was found in the silent palour of the night.
There were tiny,piercing whispers all around as I walked through the Memory Land. Set us free, they all screamed. But only the demon towers were there to listen to their shouts. No use in crying when the weather takes away all the monsoons of your life. We are only always left as silent as the river of Time, flowing forevermore.
Blue colours your bones. Black is the angel of mercy within you. Take the sword of Love and pierce your heart with it. The blood that will flow from it will be purer than the colour of a true diamond.
A little smile here, a little tear there-that is the stuff life is made up of. Too bad the faceless ones and those with their faces hidden behind masks can’t see it.
The glimmer that catches your eye now from these diamonds will, in the end, only blind you. What will seep into your bones and be the cause of your salvation is the blood that you fill now with powder and alcohol.

Scott G. Mariani’s writing is much like Dan Brown: adventure, suspense,thriller, comedy all mixed up together neatly. But he has the amazing ability of creating strong characters with whom one can easily connect with and fall in love with. Ben Hope, his main character in his most well-liked series, is one of those characters. He is your ideal idea of a character in a book – fun to get to know, easy to relate to and worth all the love. Scott’s books are also the ones that literally keep you glued to them.
Apart from being a writer, Mariani just so happens to we a shooting trainer – part of the reason why his much beloved character, Ben Hope, is the Einstein when it comes to guns and shooting. Reading it makes you feel like you are standing there with Ben, watching him in full action. At least that was how I felt as I read the Ben Hope books!

Travelling At The Speed Of Love
I tried to follow my heart as it sped away from me, down the yellow brick road. I can hardly walk as the weight of hushed memories weighs down on my shoulders. A wind blows by in the coldness and whispers to me that tomorrow might be a good day; all I need to do now is wait. But every day we wait and the next day we crumble.
Can they see us in the night that camouflage our immortal souls? Can they break away the chains holding our hope in the dungeons of despair? Stand up on the pillar of my thoughts, but make sure you don’t break it. It’s still fragile. For time is all but a destroyer of the sap of the mind. Maybe someday, when the world can shed tears and shine with smiles all over, we will find a place where our hearts are hidden now. I will carry a wand made of sacrifice, while you shall carry a staff made of love wood. Together, the aura it will create will burn its way into our hearts and revive them. Life never ends, you see. Reading Gregory’s work, I felt like I was roaming the streets of the Elizabethan age, with the royal guard of the King and Queen of England just marching down the other end. Philippa Gregory brings to life all the things that existed in that era. Reading her works makes you feel like you have been there yourself. Better than her The Other Boleyn Girl series is her series The Cousin’s War, centered on the strong female personalities that existed in the time of King George and King Richard and all the preceded them and their queens.
Philippa’s works are a beacon of strength and encouragement for all the women out there today. They remind them of the strength of the female characters and all that it can carry out in a man’s world – if only they believe in their potential. There are very few writers in this world who can manage to sound light and humorous yet at the same time hold depth and meaning in their words. James Dashner is among those few writers. His amazing The Maze Runner Trilogy kept me hooked, just like Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments did.
