Update for the New Year
I wanted to check in with all of you and let you know that you haven't been forgotten. I am still writing! Over the last year, I really wanted to have Drawing Power, the sequel to Betrayed, released. Obviously that didn't happen. There have been some major roadblocks to that goal including but not limited to, a lost first draft! I am still so amazed at the kind and supportive response I have received from readers and I apologize profusely for the time frame. As much as I'd like for it to be, writing is not my first profession. Not yet anyways. In short, you guys are amazing and I will be releasing Drawing Power asap and I will do my best to keep you updated more. Thank you times a thousand!
Much love and happy reading!

Happy Holidays!
Hi guys!
It's been a while since my last post and I wanted to check in and let you all know that I am hard at work on Drawing Power. Things have been crazy around my house with the holidays and preparing for a big move but I promise you guys, I am writing every chance I get! I cannot wait to share this next story with you all. I've had a pretty overwhelming response to Primitive Instincts and I am so grateful to all of you for all the feedback and support! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

Off to the Editor!
I wanted to let you all know that Primitive Instincts has made it's final trip to the editor! I am still hoping for the October 7th release date, but it really depends on my editors schedule. I will keep you updated of any changes. Also, I wanted to announce that there WILL be a sequel to Primitive Instincts. I started this story not knowing if it would continue into others or be a stand alone book. As the story unfolded, it opened itself up to a sequel. I surprised myself! Currently, I do not have a release date in mind for the sequel. I am wrapped up in writing the sequel to Betrayed. I hope to have it released no later than March of 2013. I would love to have it released earlier than that, but the holidays are fast approaching, and I have a few big and exciting personal events on the horizon. It would be unfair to give an earlier release date. Although, I promise to release it as soon as possible! Thank you to everyone who has and/or will take a chance on my books!
Happy Reading!

Thank you!
When I started writing Betrayed, I didn't really have a plan. I only knew that I had a story in my mind that I wanted to share with everyone else. Never having written a book before, it was a HUGE learning experience for me. Now that I have finished my book and trudged through the self-publishing process, I am amazed. My family and friends have been really supportive and their positive feedback is a constant source of encouragement. All of the feedback I have gotten from readers has been positive, as well. It's like a weight has been lifted. No matter how much pride and confidence I have in my book, there is always room for doubt. As an author, I write the story that I would want to read and hope that the rest of you enjoy it too. Huge thanks to all of you who have/will take a chance on my story. Your enjoyment is the greatest reward I can get. Thank you readers, family and friends from the bottom of my heart.

Why I Write Paranormal Romance
Welcome to my very first blog post! I'm new to this so bear with me :) I've had a few people ask "Why did you choose to write paranormal romance?"When put on the spot, my answer is usually "because I wanted to." After thinking on it for a while I decided to compile a list of reasons that explain it much better than that. So, Here Goes!
1. Writing paranormal romance gives me so much freedom with the story and characters. The only limits are in my mind. ANYTHING can happen and I like being able to throw myself that far into the story.
2. Paranormal characters can behave in ways that humans can't. If a vampire is wreaking havoc and killing people it's just part of the story. Later, the reader may go from hating him to loving him. It's much harder to accomplish this with human characters because there is not a justifiable reason for them to behave so badly.
3. It's hard to believe in love at first sight. With a paranormal story, it doesn't seem as far fetched. A relationship can progress at any speed that I want and still be believable.
4. The unknown is appealing to me. In a paranormal story, I have the freedom to write something that is completely made up.
5. I can give my characters extra qualities. A normal person isn't going to have lightening speed or superhuman strength but paranormal characters can be whoever and whatever I want them to be.
6. I feel that I can pack more action into my stories. Any story can have action but paranormal stories can have action at every turn, simply because ANYTHING can happen.
Please know that I am not "downing" other genres. This is my personal opinion and nothing more. I read tons of other genres and enjoy them immensely. Eventually, I would like to write a story that isn't paranormal but I write the stories as they come to me and so far they are all paranormal. What can I say? I like it. :)
