Janet Kay lives and writes on a lake in the woods of Northwest Wisconsin.

Drawn to nature since she was a child, she sees its wonders as a source of renewal, reflection, and connection with something greater than oneself.

She is also strongly drawn to the Victorian era. This is reflected in her writing.

Her lifelong passions include creative writing, travel, photography, and spending time with family and friends.

She has published two novels to date - Waters of the Dancing Sky, and Amelia 1868. Both continue to earn great reviews.

Coming soon (April 30, 2018) is The Sisters, a paranormal/fantasy/historical novel set on the historic, haunted Galveston Island in Texas on the Gulf of Mexico. It will be released by World Castle Publishing. For more

I fell in love with this place, with the many moods of the ocean, the old Victorian homes, and the island's fascinating history. I was especially intrigued with the Great Storm of 1900 which claimed over 8,000 lives. What if I wrote a book that flashed back and forth in time between this tragedy and life today on the island? What if I integrated the viewpoint of a spirit who died in the hurricane? And what if I introduced concepts of past lives and life on the other side? I was hooked. More importantly, I felt compelled to write a book that could make a difference in the lives of my readers, to help them expand their horizons above and beyond the confines of this world and this lifetime.(less)
