New Cover/Edition

Here it is. The cover for the Wild Rose Press edition of The Group. Release date for the e-book version is next Monday, print version may take a bit longer to get out. I'd like to thank all the people on TWRP's staff who have helped me in this turnaround process. More info coming soon.

New Publisher

Having just received back the signed contracts, I can now announce that my three procedurals (The Group, When You Have to Go There, and And the Devil Walks Away) have found a new home at The Wild Rose Press. The three are temporarily unavailable as we transition between publishers, but Wild Rose and I are already beginning the process, and I will update the news here as we go along. I'd like to give a special shoutout to Rhonda Penders at Wild Rose for making this transition a fairly smooth process.

Pending News

To clear up any possible confusion:

On the off chance someone has been looking, my three procedurals (The Group, When You Have to Go There and And the Devil Walks Away) are currently unavailable on the various venues. It appears that paperbacks are still available for sale, at least on Amazon, but at the moment e-book versions aren't.

Nothing nefarious here, merely transitioning between publishers.

I can't say anything yet as to their future, but I hope to have some news in the near future as to these three volumes landing a home with a new publisher.

Stay tuned, and I will update as soon as I can affirmatively say something.

Unexpected News

Okay, so this was totally unexpected and blew me away. Last week, the Private Eye Writers of America released their shortlists of finalists for the 2021 Shamus awards. Squatter's Rights was nominated for Best First PI Novel. I found out while I was in a Mississippi hotel room and spent the next few days trying to process the news. To say I was stunned, as well as honored, is an understatement.

New List

I'm looking into doing something I should have a long time ago and setting up an e-mail list to send out notices about upcoming news, events and publications. If anyone is interested in getting on the list (I promise I won't bombard you with e-mails or share your address with anyone else), please contact me at kevinrossdoyle@gmail.com, and I'll put you down.

Short Story News

Okay, I've gotten the go ahead to announce this now. My short story, "Knock One Down," about an immortal gang banger haunting the streets of New Orleans, will be appearing in Devil's Rock Publishing's new anthology, due out somewhere around Halloween.

Cool Interview

Earlier this month, Inside Columbia, our local lifestyle and business magazine, published an interview with me. It can be found here:

Upcoming

Well, this was pretty cool. About a week ago I was interviewed by Inside Columbia, our local business, arts and culture magazine. They reached out and wanted to do a small feature on my latest book release. I've been in various local media a time or two before, but this was the first time they came to me. It's supposed to be out May 1.

A New Record

I've been at this whole fiction writing thing a long, long time. This morning, for the first time ever, one of my books broke above 10,000 in terms of Amazon ranking. That's ranking, not number of copies sold. As of this morning, When You Have to Go There is ranked #7,685 overall and #259 for Murder Mysteries. Not to mention #139 for Conspiracy Thrillers. Not a bad way to start the weekend.
