Release 3/8/22
Coming out this Tuesday, my eighth book. Rather hard to believe, and humbling, that I've managed to have eight books published in the last ten years, especially considering I never planned to get into long fiction.
Not to be cantankerous, but none of them self or hybrid published. While I haven't yet had one really break out in sales, I count myself fortunate that various publishers have seen something in my work and are willing to take the leap. If I'm lucky, at some point they'll be repaid for their faith.
But moving beyond the maudlin, here's a look at Sam Quinton, Private Eye, Number 3 - Double Frame:
Sociology professor Felix Thayer is brilliant but hateful. A near genius in his field, but impossible to get along with. When his colleague Michael Hartness is found murdered in his office, it doesn't surprise anyone that Thayer is arrested for the crime. Everyone who knew the two men pretty much saw that coming. But why would Thayer have committed the murder in a manner so careless as to almost ensure his being fingered as the culprit? It's almost as if the guy wanted to be caught.
That's what Thayer's wife needs to know. She doesn't really care whether her husband's guilty. She just has to know why he'd be so careless and hires Sam Quinton, full-time gym owner, part-time private eye, and former professional wrestler, to find out. But as Quinton investigates the crime, he finds there may be more to the affair than the animosity of two men. And when the local Mafia begins dogging his steps, he figures he's on the trail of something that someone wants kept under wraps.

New Releases Coming
In the last few days, I've gotten information from publishers on upcoming releases, both in the same month.
March 8 of this year will see the release of Double Frame, the third book in the Sam Quinton series, by Camel Press.
March 23 is the release date for the new version of One Helluva Gig, my rock fiction novelette in e-book form, originally published in 2012. The new version of Gig is coming out via the folks at The Wild Rose Press.

The Biggie
And here's the second announcement I'd been waiting to give:
A few weeks back, Camel Press offered, and I accepted, a three-book contract to continue the Sam Quinton private eye series through at least book #6.
Now, when my students ask me what I'll be doing in a few years when I retire, I can tell them for sure what I'll be doing for at least a year or so into it.

Cool News
I've had two announcements pending for a while, and here's one of them.
My first "book" some years back was a little rock fiction novelette called One Helluva Gig. It's been out of circulation for a couple of years now. However, with contracts signed on both ends, I can now announce that Gig has found a new home.
A new version will be coming out from The Wild Rose Press's Champagne imprint. We're just starting edits now, so I've no release date or anything, but will keep things updated as they occur.
