Beta live for Admiral’s Nemesis II

Admiral’s Nemesis Part 2 is up for beta readers at pacificcrestpublishing.com this is the part where I normally tell you to head on over there and sign up but sadly the word is that due to some administrative programing issues over there they’re not sure if they can activate any new users over there. At least not in time for teh beta.

So if you already have an account please head on over there and apply for beta, my brother can approve that most evenings, which is when he’s normally on line. If you don’t please wait pateniently because after the beta we’re going to make a few more grammar revisions and put it up live.

All I ask is a few comments on the book so we can improve it and a review at the end of this rainbow when it goes live on amazon. 4 and 5 star reviews are what keep my work being shown on amazon (although almost any honest review is helpful) but with this book languishing in the purgatory of my extended forever writing and a long trip at the editor because of its large size we can use all the help we can get.

Admiral’s Fall – 100k

Fingers crossed but I hope to get this book finished this week. Word is we’re also a couple days out from the first editing pass on Nemesis II.

Right now I’m not after the end of Fall in the middle of the final battle of the book. I hope it doesn’t take too long to wrap it up but you never know.

Anyway thanks for the patience of all my fans. I really appreciate it. For those less patient I understand. This has taken forever and a day. But I’m hoping to spit them out rapid fire here.

93k – Admiral’s Fall

Latest authorial update is… we’re closing in on the home stretch. In the middle of the final battle right now and then its off to the culminating resolution of the book. As the swirling vortex of competing interests tracto/MSP, the empire, and confederations new and old collide in this latest episode of the Spineward Sectors who will win and more importantly who will survive?

It is my firm hope to have this draft wrapped up within a week. Fingers crossed!

76k – Admiral’s Fall

Another Admiral’s Fall update. The title says it all. I’m up to 76,000 words written on this rough draft and wonder just how much longer the editor is going to take on Nemesis II?

66k – Admiral’s Fall

A slight slow down in my writing, I missed a writing day last week and by missed I mean I had the time and took a flyer. But other than that the rough draft continues to fly along.

I think I’m decidedly over the halfway hump in this book and I can’t wait to get to the end of this book. I’m getting excited!

Admiral’s Fall – 55k

Admiral’s Fall Update:

Hey guys I’m up to 55k – Admiral’s Fall and the last I heard the editor is 30% though the rough draft of Admiral’s Nemesis Part 2.

Just wanted to touch bases with everyone and let you know what’s going on. I’m smoking through the rough draft of Fall and it looks like I’m going to have it out to the editor by the end of march. That’s the plan, goal and authorial determination.

I want to get at least three Admiral books out this year, at least.

42k – Admiral’s Fall

Had another 2k day yesterday and moving right along on book 13. The pace continues to be decent and I’m cranking on the next book in the series. I need to have the rough draft done in march and off to my editor and it looks like I’m totally on pace for that.

Right now school is delayed two hours because of snow. Its been snowing off and on for several days now and the wife is claiming 8 inches. I’m not entirely convinced about 8 but six at least.

Anyway hopefully the kids will go to school, the baby sitter will come for the little one (my cousin next door) and I’ll have a very productive snow day writing spree!

Anyway have a blast guys!

32k – Admiral’s Fall

Its time for another Admiral update! As you can see in the title I’m up to 32k and still smoking right along. The plan is to finish the rough draft for this book by march and have it off to the editor and then immediately dive back into Admiral 14 whatever I eventually decide to title it.

Last year had so many issues. Along with a book that just wouldn’t end, coming in at something like 180k. Anyway so far so good and this book is really just flying onto the computer.

Of course deeper I go into this one the more I want to take back the previous book and tweak it slightly. Lol.

26k – Admiral’s Fall

Today was another 3k day. I could have done better but it was a respectable day.

I’m trying to keep the momentum going. My hope is that by the middle of next month book 13 will be off my computer and over to my editor. I’m also trying be more active on reporting back to you guys and keeping the communication lines open.
