Apocalypse of Angels: Seeing Angels Blog Tour @HLawsonAuthor

Title: Apocalypse of Angels: Seeing AngelsAuthor: Harmony LawsonGenre: Young AdultTour Host: Lady Amber's Tours

Camille Harper, about to finish high school, can see angels all around her. They appear to watch her. She has been able to see angels from birth, and while she is amused by this ability, she just wants a normal life with friends, family, and good times. Why can she see angels? She doesn't know, but she believes the knowledge will change everything. Then she witnesses a confrontation between a beautiful angel and a dark winged creature. The strange event will signal the end of normal life.
Did the strange beings know she could see them?
Her friends want her to sneak out to an abandoned house for parties, but her instincts scream “NO!” Something is not right about the place. The hip new guy in school, Earl, wants to date, but she is afraid he will disturb her circle of friends, and there is something not right about him. Her parents aren’t doing well together. And whatever strange plot is developing, her sister may be in the middle.
Now, for the first time, Camille Harper is interacting with angels face to face. This is incredible, but when Jason Waters enters her life, she gets more than she bargained for. Her strange ability complicates life on a whole new level. Camille and Jason enter an exciting but forbidden relationship.
Strange beings present danger. What’s a Nephilim? What are fallen angels up to?
Jason believes something is strange with Earl, but Jason is hiding things from Camille as well. Which one is right for her? Are they both trying to possess her for supernatural reasons?
Camille just wants to make it through the year and graduate from high school, but changes are leading up to some apocalyptic event.
Can Camille continue Seeing Angels without her life going to Hell?

“I really want to see you again, Cami, but I’m not sure about this. I’m not sure I can.” His gaze is intense. There is no way for me to respond to that. I look down again.
He raises my hand to his lips and kisses. Electricity travels up my arm. How can a kiss feel like that? Have we fallen in love already?
“Why wouldn’t you be able to see me again?” I finally have to ask.
“Never mind, just pretend I didn’t say that.”
He is hiding things from me, and I know what they are. Attraction is making me so weak that I am tempted to tell him what I know. I have to fight it.
His warm hand is smooth on top and rough on the palm. My hand must seem cold to him. He can hold my hand as long as he wants.
He sighs and kisses my hand again. “We better drive back to your car. I don’t want to keep you out too late.” He sounds like a guy trying to avoid trouble.

This was a wonderful book that grabs you from page one. I loved Jason; he was a super sexy angel and I didn't like Earl from the first minute he was introduced. All in all this was a wonderful read that is worth being picked up. The only thing that has me giving it a 4 instead of 5 star review is the editing on the book.

Saved by the Spell Blog Tour @AnnaWolfeSeries

Title: Saved by the Spell (Book Two of the Anna Wolfe Series)Author: Casey KeenGenre: Paranormal & Urban Fantasy RomanceRelease Date: October 11, 2013Tour Host: Lady Amber's Tours
Two worlds in danger.
A Grand Witch behind bars.
A stunning Werewolf and a devilishly handsome Warlock’s pursuit for her affections.
You think you have it bad? Grand Witch Anna Wolfe awakens to find herself imprisoned by Micah, the Prince of Darkness. Micah’s on a quest for world domination—and it’s not just the Netherworld that’s in danger. The human world is threatened as well. Now, it’s up to Anna to escape from Micah's clutches so she can locate The Scholars and an ancient book before both falls into the wrong hands.
With a fiercely loyal Werewolf and immensely powerful Warlock by her side, what can go wrong?
A lot apparently.
If fighting off the Prince of Darkness wasn’t enough, Anna’s emotions are a whirlwind, as she battles between what fate demands and what she actually wants.

Heat flows under my skin like lava, boiling in my chest. I shift in the prison chair, hoping to displace my sudden fury. Micah turns back to me, smiling like a child.
“Ah, Valen,” he smiles coyly, “your Achilles heel.”
Hearing Valen’s name passing through his repulsive lips angers me more. “I'm going to kill you,” I promise him.
Micah strides over to me, bending down until he's right next to my ear. “I'm going to find him Anna... then I'm going to torture him over and over again while you watch,” he whispers softly, lightly grazing my earlobe with his lip. “I'm going to kill him right in front of you and once I’m finished with him, I am going to kill all of your family and friends—one by one, until you have no one left but me,” he finishes. “You are mine Anna, and nothing you can do will ever change that.”
My jaw tightens and I grind my teeth in anger. I squirm violently, attempting to spell the bindings off me. Rage takes over, blinding me of all rational thoughts. I need to get out of this chair and save Valen—as well as everyone else. The constraints refuse to budge and my magic is still unresponsive. I calm down unwillingly, deciding to conserve my energy. I glower at Micah as he throws his head back, laughing victoriously.

Escape to The UnKnown

We walked inside the restaurant of the very small Angelo’s. It was busy because it was a Saturday night. The walls were painted a very dark red and each table was outfitted with a matching red table cloth with a lit candle sitting on top of it.

“Very romantic, Mr. Mitchell.”

“I try my best, Miss Scott.” The waitress walked over and took us to a very small, quiet booth in the back of the restaurant. When we reached it there were a dozen white roses sitting there. I was confused, had he planned this?

“Drake, you have already given me flowers. This is too much.”

“I can never give you enough. I want to give you the world. Do you know what the white rose signifies?” He pulled me down into the booth with him.

“I don’t, but they are just as beautiful as the red ones you gave me.”

“The white rose signifies purity and innocence. The red rose signifies love, beauty, courage, and respect. And together they signify unity. Baby, you are those things to me. You are my heart.” He kissed the back of my hand. “You are as pure as the driven snow.” He kissed it again. “And you are as beautiful as an angel descending from heaven.” Drake’s eyes danced with hope and love. I could see that he truly loved me. Where did this man come from? Tears were beginning to form in my eyes.

“And together,” he pulled out a single white rose and a single red one and laced the stems together. “We are strong. We can’t be broken.” By the time he finished I was a blubbering fool. I was so happy in that exact moment.

“I love you with all my heart,” he whispered lovingly. I closed my eyes and savored his every word. I hadn’t ever known love like this. I never wanted to let it go.

“Baby, you ok?”

“Yes. I love you so much. I can’t believe you did this. My makeup is probably running.” I wiped the tears from my eyes. Who knows what I look like right now, but I couldn’t help it. This was just all too wonderful not to cry.

Title: AwakenAuthor: HJ Daly Genre: Young Adult, FantasyTour Host: Lady Amber's Tours
Two years later and Esa is still fighting her internal battles, as well as those who seek to destroy her growing power.Sent on a mission to seek out new threats, Esa’s life is one fight after another with goblins, trolls, witches, and sorcerers to try and stop her. One night she is totally overcome by a terrifying nightmare of death on such a huge scale that it has her running for home. It is not something she can run from, and as a new power consumes her she truly understands what a monster really can achieve, but is the monster the creature before her or does it lie deep within her own soul?

His head dropped, but not before Esa caught sight of a silent tear running down his cheek. Why was he so upset, what had happened? She couldn’t stand and watch this. Even with the darkness calling her name, pulling her to its centre, she stumbled forward, crashing into the back row of chairs. Whispering his name, she fell to her knees and as her eyes began to close, she felt him catch her in his arms, felt his breath on her cheek.
“I’ve got you. I’ve got you.” Thomas choked and unconsciousness called.

Ascending the Veil #Review @VenessaKimball

Amazon’s Best Selling Piercing the Fold Series

A veil has been parted.
A galactic intersection has been spurred by the hands of an enemy, the Sondian Fellowship. Now, a veil, a barrier, meant to divide our universe from all others has been parted. This celestial veil was meant to keep beings of those universes from invading ours; mythical, fantastical, demonic, and angelic beings. Jesca and the rest of the Dobrian fellowship quickly realize that these beings have been the very product of the “illusions in reality” they have been tracking, dodging, and protecting mankind from.

One that Jesca must ascend.

Ezra Kahn and Nate Sera have sacrificed themselves beyond the veil of our universe in an attempt to protect both Jesca and mankind. Their sacrifice was noble, but not enough to stop the global invasion and apocalyptical evolution in our world. The fate of those Jesca loves and mankind is dismal unless she and the Dobrian guardians can find a way to get Ezra and Nate back and seal the ethereal veil between our universe and those that lie beyond it.

Among the illusions a legacy will be unmasked.

To her surprise, Jesca’s ascension beyond the veil unmasks an ancient legacy that is much older and runs much deeper than the Dobrian fellowship. An empyrean inheritance seeded among mankind long ago that courses through the veins of the Onoch family and Jesca Gershon Kahn.

*The Piercing the Fold series is intended for Mature Young Adult and Adult readers due to the the paranormal and unorthodox scientific concepts addressed throughout. This series contains a rich mixture of the paranormal, science fiction, romance, adventure, and suspense.*

This is book 3 in the fast pace world where nothing is has it seems and everything has come to a big bang. This book picks up shortly after the end of book 2. And now young Jesca is feeling the lost of both her father and her true love and linked partner Nate. She is left with his link Xander who she still feels for but doesn’t know how to deal with it. Jesca against all odds is determined to save her world and Nate and her father. She must do something that has not be done before and transverse to unknown world without way of finding it going through a black hole.

Some quotes from the book.

“I turn the small, clear, rectangular world in my hands. Careful not to disturb the ant’s free will their decisions, their distinct and individual purposes.”

“I pinch my eyes closed and think of what we must look like to a fly on the wall; cold, dying, fish flopping about, trying to to breathe out of water, The morbid thought pisses me off and I grab his hand tightly”

“The funny thing is the legacy will wind up being our path to salvation, the only true protection we have left”

Jesca really learns how to lead in this book and you tell it is not the last book in the series with the ending. She is a strong and feisty girl that will do anything to save those she loves. In this book she is the main foucs in this book. Her character development is MAJOR in this book. Before I looked as her leaning too much on Nate, Xander, and her father this time is all on her own and making the right calls at the right time with a little assistants from her dead mother Anna. I was very proud of her in this book and look forward to where her character goes next. Reviewed by  Jedi Christy

Clara and the Coon by M.K. Boise
Clara is born the height of a quarter–an abomination to the village of Fankfret. On the outskirts of town, she's left to die in a hole that's the size of a teapot. She soon learns her story is far from over though. Getting eaten by a raccoon is just the beginning.
Blood Borne Pathogen by Shoshanah Holl

On the Day of the Dead, they both face the choice between life, death...and what comes after.
In Spite of Fire by Tilly Boscott
Alice's husband, Henry, died, leaving her to wander the world alone, searching for a way to bring him back. When she stumbles upon village gossip describing a place where ghosts dwell, she sets off to find her lost love. Instead of her husband, she discovers a ghost with eyes of fire, keen on the contents of a ragged tree. Alice clambers into an adventure of fear, darkness and true love.
The Angel by Troy Lambert
Abel is a poor urchin, trying to survive on the streets with only his wits to protect him and a tiny garden of struggling flowers to bring him pleasure. Zach is a young boy struggling in the fight of his life against the blight of cancer who wants to see the flowers of spring one last time. It seems inevitable that these young souls will soon leave the earth. But what awaits them in the beyond?

This book is a collection of 8 short stories that are fairy tales reimagined. This book was very well put together with the stories that were in they seemed to flow good with one another. There were a few that I didn't care for at all but there were a couple like The Baron and The Firebird by J.A. Campbell that was about a firebird and a vampire of all creatures finding love, I personally have never heard the Firebird fairytale or even heard of a Firebird for that matter until I read this story and I must say it was rather intriguing to me, I must learn more of these Firebirds. The other story that I absolutely LOVED was The Glass Coffin by Emmalyn Greyson this one was a take on Snow White and the seven dwarfs and it was reimagined into a world filled with witches, wolves and vampires and the witches and wolves are at war with the vampires. I don't want to give anything away so all I will say is this one had me on the edge of my seat not being able to put it down until I finished to see what would happen. Now there is one story in particular that I did not like at all which was In The Belly Of The Wolf by Amanda German which is the retelling of red Ridding Hood and this one to me was just plain weird, now I know others may end up liking it but for me it was just to weird and after reading that one it was like I had a bad taste in my mouth and had to put the book down and read something else to get it out. I am glad I went back to the book though because the other stories that followed after that one were good there was another two after that I didn't like either but for the most part this was a really good book and some of the fairytales that were being retold I knew while others I am new too but I was able to follow along with some what great pleasure and glad I took the time to read this book. I think this should be a book that everyone at least gives a shot at reading it, it is a rather interesting read for the most part.

Bound to Remember #Review @1Lola_James

Bound to RememberBook One of the Spellbound Series
Vampires and Witches and Myths, oh my!

Ben is a nurse who has his own tragic past and transfers hospitals after an act of heroism forces his secluded life public.

Enter Kevin, Toni’s sexy but arrogant Ex. Kevin’s jealousy of Ben blinds him from his main objective, Toni.
A dangerous secret is revealed and a magic spell seems to be a quick remedy, but the witch that helps has a little more than magic up her sleeve…
**Recently re-edited**

REVIEW - 3 STARSI wasn't sure exactly what to expect from Bound to Remember but since it was the first book in the Spellbound series, I figured I'd get a paranormal story. I'm glad to say I wasn't disappointed. I would list Bound to Remember squarely in the YA Paranormal Romance arena.
The story follows Toni in her job as a night ER doctor. She is coming out of a bad relationship when a hunky new male nurse joins the ER team. He's mysterious, never seems to eat, moves incredibly fast, and has an immediate attraction to Toni. His secrets are revealed quickly in this short book. But as it turns out, Toni has secrets even she is unaware of.
Lola James' writing isn't bad; but it also isn't complex. The light writing style and the depth of the characters are what made this book seem YA to me. That might not have been the intent, but I think Bound to Remember is a good entertaining read for a younger audience.
There were sections that felt borrowed from other stories, especially all the hunks walking around Toni's ER. I felt like I was reading an episode of Greys Anatomy in a few scenes.
The best part of this book was the Greek mythology sprinkled in and used as a twist ending. It was delightfully surprising to have a different paranormal element show up.
I recommend reading this book with some good strong Greek coffee - Small, sweet, and just enough punch to have you looking forward to the next hit.

Their friendship must deepen. But nothing’s ever easy, and she soon discovers there’s a thin line between love, hate, and What the Heart Takes.

TEASER
“I’m sorry,” he sighed, leaning his head against hers. “I don’t want to feel like this. I sure as hell don’t like you feeling this with me, but I—”

“Don’t,” she whispered, pressing her finger to his lips. “Don’t ever apologize for loving me or for any other emotion that stems from that. I would feel the same as you, if the roles were reversed.”

“No you wouldn’t, because you’re pure of heart. You love unconditionally. I’m just a jealous jerk.”

“You’re not a jealous jerk. You’re just a man, trying to protect what he loves.” He tried to look away, but she pressed her hands to his face, holding it in place. “Nothing will ever change the way I feel about you. Even if Layne was head-over-heels for me, he isn’t you. My connection with him is fueling his emotions. He’ll work through them.”

His eyes wavered with emotion, as did their bond. “I know you love me. I’ve never questioned that, except for Aruba, and that was because of my stubbornness. I’ve come close to losing you twice because of it. I don’t want it to happen again.”

“I’m not going anywhere.” She grabbed his hand, placing it against her stomach. “We’re bound, Dylan. In heart, in soul, in every breath we take. I will always be yours.”

His lips pressed together as he feigned a smile. “Deep down, I know you’re right. I shouldn’t let it bother me, but I can’t help it. Before you came into my life, he was my closest friend. We’ve been through a lot.”

“And I complicated that.” Her eyes fell to the floor, but only for a moment. His fingers slid under her chin as he nudged it upward.

“No, you completed me. You gave me the one thing I’ve searched for my entire life…you.”

When Kelli McCracken’s not writing, she’s usually looking for duct tape for her inner critic’s mouth. Or begging her characters to let her sleep. When procrastination strikes, you can find her rocking out with an air guitar or hanging out on Facebook.
“Forrest Gump's momma said it best. Life is like a box of chocolates. Mine is full of nuts. My motto: Sanity is optional, but not a requirement. My characters love waking me up in the middle of the night for long talks. They have no sense of time.”
