2014 in review: more for my own personal curiosity then anything…
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 12,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Demons.
Alas, with another life lost on Culver Cliff, my blog and film are doing the rounds again. Read it if you need it

Tomorrowland 2014
June saw us at EDC Vegas, and July had us heading for Belgium and the multi-award winning festival Tomorrowland. I have been itching to get to this bad boy for years, although tickets are like rocking horse shit. But… finally…
The Modeland I boarded our plane at 14.25 and settled in for a short flight… Aaaaand an hour and a half later we were still sat on the runway because the plane could not find a tug to pull it into position. The Captain issued several apologies, and although I do not mind...

EDC Vegas 2014: Sin and the City
I won two tickets to the Electronic Daisy Carnvial music festival in Vegas through a writing competition. You can call that ‘luck’ – as several people did – but I’ve been practicing my craftfor almost 40 years, so I’m gonna call it ‘just’.

The empty speedway arena…
Two months after receiving the winning phone call from California, my girlfriend – akaThe Model(take a look andyou’ll see why) – and I were aboard a plane and hauling ass to The Entertainment Capital of the World™. We landed at McCar...

The Storm has Passed…
Once upon a time, I used to be a fairly prolific blog writer. Things developed… demons happened… and my output reduced itself to two blogs in two years. Of course, Demons, and Demons: Dark Love were ‘successful’ – if that’s the right term – but with them hanging over my head I’ve felt unable to write anything else in between. How could I write about depression and my mental state in one blog, and then segue into a drunken weekend in Valencia with my brother-in-law and Italian Stallion friend...

Demons: Dark Love
(If you haven’t read my previous blog ‘Demons‘, then now would be a good time to do so…)
————————————
It is now just over a year since I almost jumped off a cliff.
Did things improve for me afterwards?
No.
They did not.
The smash on the windscreen is where my head impacted the glass. It hurt. A lot. I even had to ask the surgeon to stop while I cried in pain as he scraped the pieces from my skull.
But let me go back; before the crash, and after the cliff.
After ‘Demons’ my mental state deteriorated....

I worked within the mental health world for 7 years, between the ages of 20 to 27. I enjoyed the job – especially in the
localpsychiatric ward – andI met some remarkable, troubled people, and watched as they disappeared in a haze of medication as their demons dragged them down…
I felt sorry for those...

The Next Big Thing Blog Hop
I’ve been tagged in The Next Big Thing by fellow writer and publisher Philip Bell of children’s publisher Beachy Books – Website: www.beachybooks.com.
I’m asked by Philip to tell you all about my next book by answering these questions and then I tag five other authors about their Next Big Thing. So here I go!
What is the working title of your next book?
It’s ‘Isle of The Dead’, but it’s had so many titles I’m not even sure I’m sticking with that one!
Where did the idea come from for the book?
Simp...

Park of The Dead – Halloween 2012
NOTE: The language in this blog is as strong as the words used by most of the people who had the shit scared out of them over the six days of this event.
Puckpool Park- known as a kids play park, old war battlements, and one of the best cafes on the island that serves ‘Pucka Pizzas’ and burgers that can’t be beaten.
It’s also home to a shitload of zombies.
Park Of The Dead is the brainchild of Dan Gaches – owner of the cafe and chef supreme – and he approached me about it a few months ago, sayin...
