EXCERPTS DAY!!! DENOUEMENT AND COVERT EXISTENCE
EXCERPT;
He could hear her moan as she rode him hard and deep. Reece smoothed his hands along her side up until he got to her breasts. Cupping her fleshy globes he kneaded into them until he heard her cry in delight. His hands moved behind her and pulled her down for a hard kiss. He wanted this to last forever, but he needed it to be over so that he could ask her.

EXCERPTS DAY!!! DENOUEMENT AND COVERT EXISTENCE

EXCERPT;
He held onto her as he lifted his ass of the bed, supporting himself on his heels. His hands moved under her knees and he held her in place.
He looked into her eyes and could see her desire burn deep for him. He wanted her to milk him for everything he had. He pulled his sex out of hers and watched as her nose scrunched in annoyance. He chuckled before plunging into her. His lips curled into a sly smile when he saw the shock in her eyes as she took in the length of him with just that one stroke. He felt her tremble on top of him as he rocked harder and faster inside her seeking her own release more than he did his. And when she threw her head back and screamed out his name, he let himself go over the edge with her.
She collapsed beside him, her chest heaved as she tried to steady her breathing. “Where are you going?” She reached for him as he rolled off the bed.
“Give me a second Lee.” He said as he fished the velvet box from his jacket pocket.
He was going to take the plunge, take a dive into the deep end throwing all caution to the wind. He hoped she would be there to catch him.
“What is that?”
He felt her hover over him and noticed she was looking over his shoulder. He cleared his throat and turned towards her, getting down on one knee. He knew he looked ridiculous, naked and on the cold floor on bended knee. But he still hoped that she would have him, just as bare as he was, flaws and all.
“When I look into your eyes, I swear I can feel my soul shiver. My heart aches to be with you every single second of the day. I love you; I want to see you round with my baby in your belly. I want us to have a home, a dog and maybe even a white picket fence.” He saw the smile of her face and his nervousness slipped away, “I want to spend every moment of happily ever after with you. I don’t want to be happy with anyone else but you. I love you and I would be honored if you would be my wife.”
“I would be honored if you would be my husband.” She said as tears rolled down her cheeks.
“I’ll take that as a yes.”
“Take it as an absolutely.” She said as she threw her hands around his neck, holding him close to her.
“I want you to wear this. It’s not much but-,” he said as he slipped the modest ring on.
“It’s everything. I will never take it off.” She swore.
Reece pushed her onto the bed as his lips caressed the soft skin on her neck. He wanted to spend every waking moment devouring her like this, giving her pleasure that she knew only he could give her.
“Reece!”
BELOW IS AN EXCERPT OF MY RELEASE DENOUEMENT.
“Marietta Parks!”
“Keep your knickers on, I’m coming.” Marietta yelled back and the whole cast burst out laughing. She stuck her tongue out at the scowling man as she walked towards him. His silver head was covered by a turban and a flask of water hung from his neck.
“I would quit if you weren’t so damn cute.” He teased. “Why did you have to set a scene of your movie in the desert? Next time try the Caribbean or Iceland.”
“What’s up?” She expected him to hold out the script and point out where it wasn’t working but he didn’t. Instead he pointed out towards the two actors; there was something about the two leads that wasn’t gelling together.
“They don’t look romantic. Guns are my department, romance, not so much.” McKenzie frowned as he stared at the two actors who looked like they were uncomfortable. “At this point picking sand from each other’s eyes would look more romantic.”
Marietta flipped through her master script and read out, “‘-they share a desperate romantic kiss as a sand storm rises behind them-’ who wrote this crap?” She exhaled lost at what to do. She had already done her part, given them the worlds and described the scenario. It was up to Tobias and his co-star to make it look real, to make it romantic. She stared at the actress-Sarah Foy was the best in her generation-and she couldn’t help but feel sorry. The girl looked like she was fishing in Tobias mouth and not kissing him. And Tobias, he looked like he was about to gag.
“What do you want me to do?” Marietta exchanged a confused glance with the director. “You are the director, direct them.”
“You are the one who dreams up love scenes in the middle of the desert. Besides I have been married six times, if I was romantic I would still have my first wife, better yet my sixth.” He put his hand on Marietta’s back and gently pushed her forward, “You are the girl, and how would you want him to kiss you.”
“I thought he was the great Tobias Harden, the best sex on both sides of the pond. He can’t do a simple kiss.” Marietta pouted as she stomped towards the two actors, looking back only once to stick her tongue out at the director. She looked around for Suzy and Jessie; they were the one who vouched for the ‘dream boat’.
“This isn’t working.” Tobias said to her as Marietta walked towards them.
“No kidding.” Her hands akimbo she tried to think of someway a hero in one of her romance novels would make this work. “Sarah, you look like a fish drowning in a fish bowl and Toby; you look like someone is forcing you to swallow an eel. You are actors; I don’t care if you don’t find each other desirable pretend. We pay you to pretend, you make your living pretending.”
“I find him to be very sexy.” Sarah said as she winked in Tobias’ direction.
Marietta frowned and turned to face Tobias just in time to see the same frustrated expression on his face. “What about you, do you find her sexy?”
“Just run this scene by me again.” Tobias grunted.
“You two are in love. There are people with huge guns coming to kill you, plus there is a sand storm behind you. You feel like this is it, so you want this one kiss. The kiss has to be passionate, everyone has to shiver at how intensely passionate it is.”
“I’m not a magician.” Sarah whined.
“You’re telling me.” Marietta huffed in frustration and stepped in between them. “I think you are both trying to lead the kiss. Kiss me like you would a girl you are desperately in love with.”
“I’ve never been in love.”
“Join the club.” She looked him once over then decided to use his reputation to get the scene, “Kiss me like you are trying to convince me that… I am your moon and stars. That is before you ditch me the next morning. You lead, I’ll follow.”

SYNOPSIS
Charlie Montgomery had always wanted to emerge from her father and her fiancé’s shadows. Her desperation surpasses her need for love and family. When a chance comes up to further her career she takes it. The timing is terrible, Reece Morgan has just proposed and they are planning a life together. Charlie infiltrates a mob family with terrorist ties. Three months later she discovers she is pregnant. But she already has her career booster in her hands and can’t bear to loose it. Charlie does the unforgivable; she hides the baby from its father, Reece Morgan and tells the mob boss, Alexander Corisi that he is the father of her baby.
Six years later after waking up alone, on what should have been the best morning of his life, Reece Morgan finds himself in a case tied to Charlie’s father, General Charles Montgomery. Standing in the same room as the man who was supposed to be his father in law is too much for Reece to bear and his animosity shows. Reece now has to bite the bullet and accept a protection assignment of a little girl living in the General’s house. Barely an hour after he has custody of the girl, she is kidnapped. But the circus of events does not end there as Charlie returns home.
Charlie now has to get help from Reece without letting him know that he has a daughter. But there are so many issues between them that make working together a difficult chore. The danger surrounding them seems to have a protective effect on Reece as he begins to treat Charlie as if she had never left. But his sweet nature soon disappears when he finds out the little girl strapped to a bomb is his daughter.
Reece and Charlie are able to save their daughter, and in the end he asks her to marry him again. This time he doesn’t give her an opportunity to say no.

Marietta stood staring at his ‘kiss me’ lips. They were beautiful, well molded. But she knew that they had been in traffic for a while. Her mind was running, thinking about how many women he had kissed and how many of those women he had taken to bed, and how many of those he had called the next day. She was too distracted that she didn’t notice him coming in for the kill.

DENOUEMENT COVER
Hey guys,
A few months ago Ermisenda created a beautiful cover for my contemporary romance novel DENOUEMENT.
Denouement has been picked up by SECRET CRAVINGS PUBLISHING and will soon be out.
I would like to thank Ermisenda for the work she did for me. I appreciate it. I would also like to thank SCP for the new cover and for bearing with me. I know at times I can be difficult. It takes a village to raise a child, it seems it also takes a village to make a book successful.
Below is my new DENOUEMENT cover.
WHY I WRITE ROMANCE
When I watch a scene out of a movie or a series and I feel warmth in my heart, the sort of warmth that tingles within. And the only way out for this joy, yes joy, is through your tears.
Tears of happiness.
That is important to me when I read, write or watch a romantic story.
Recently I started watching One Tree Hill from the first season to the ninth. Yes, many of us were obsessed with the series. We had our favourite jocks, cheerleaders, coaches, moms and cafe. I was loyal to the series to the point I drove everyone around me insane. But when it reached season seven and the Peyton and Lucas characters did not return, I felt betrayed. I boycotted the show. Ask my sisters I have a habit of boycotting stories I don’t like, my recent one is Shonda Rhimes’Grey’s Anatomy, we all know why, #Slexie.

Anyway,as I was saying. Season one to six, the story was about these two brothers and how they go from a life of ignoring the other’s existence to depending on each other drew me. I have three half siblings and my relationship with them is totally different from the one I have with my two sisters.
Season one to six, it was about the brothers and their maniac of a dad.

When I got over my ‘boycott’ I started watching clips from the internet, and in each clip I watched my interest grew more and more. Strangely enough season seven to nine pulled me in. I discovered this love story that I had totally given second string to.
The #Nailey romance.

What was important to me in Hailey and Nathan’s romance was not the break ups, or the outside influences. The centre of that love story for me was Nathan Scott (played by James Lafferty ) and how much he loved his family. Its inspiriting how James plays Nathan. I come from a single parent home. My mother is my queen, my soul. I never had that ‘Dad’. The sort of dad that Nathan is. You could see that his love for his family routed from his love of self. Nathan had issues. In the beginning he was an arrogant jerk. But he changes because of the love that he feels for Hailey. Not change, adapts. He grows and evolves into this strong man, dedicated husband and a full on dad. I like the parts he saves her from a burning piano, and from drowning himself. It shows his presence, hid duty to protect.
So I write romance because there are people who have come before me with great romance stories. There are characters that exists that I want to be part of my life. I want to create a story that makes someone else just as happy as Nathan Scott’s family makes me. There is a presence of one owns mind, emotion and soul that I strive to achieve. I want that romance in my life. I want to walk into my home and find ‘a Nathan’ there to hold me when I feel broken, to love me when I feel weak and to just kiss me and make everything feel better. My rock, my pillar and my core.

So until such a time I write romance novels. Some are short, some are long, some are predictable and others are unexpected. But in all my stories, lays a piece of my heart.
Take Our Poll
The straight forward answer would be because I love everything romantic.

Matchmakers
Cellist Sophia Burkhalter thought ten years in Europe performing with an exclusive ensemble would have made it clear that she wasn’t a candidate for her grandmother’s matchmaking. After all, she’d walked away from the man she loved, leaving him back home in Kansas City.
David Kendal had fallen in love with Sophia, a match orchestrated by her grandmother and his aunt. However, the unexpected appearance of the daughter he never knew he had—and Sophia’s sudden, subsequent departure for Europe—thrust him into the role of single father.
Carissa Kendal has only ever wanted the best for her father. It doesn’t take long for her to realize that the very woman who broke her father’s heart might be the one to make them a real family.
Can Carissa and the women who originally played matchmaker to the duo convince them that love is worth a second try? Or will careers and past mistakes tear them apart forever before they have a chance to reconcile?

Bernadette Marie has been an avid writer since the early age of 13, when she’d fill notebook after notebook with stories that she’d share with her friends. Her journey into novel writing started the summer before eighth grade when her father gave her an old typewriter. At all times of the day and night you would find her on the back porch penning her first work, which she would continue to write for the next 22 years.
In 2007 – after marriage, filling her chronic entrepreneurial needs, and having five children – Bernadette began to write seriously with the goal of being published. That year she wrote 12 books. In 2009 she was contracted for her first trilogy and the published author was born. In 2011 she (being the entrepreneur that she is) opened her own publishing house, 5 Prince Publishing, and has released contemporary titles and began the process of taking on other authors in other genres.
In 2012 Bernadette Marie found herself on the bestsellers lists of iTunes and Amazon to name a few. Her office wall is lined with colorful PostIt notes with the titles of books she will be releasing in the very near future, with hope that they too will grace the bestsellers lists.
Bernadette spends most of her free time driving her kids to their many events—usually hockey. She is also an accomplished martial artist with a second degree black belt in Tang Soo Do. An avid reader, she enjoys contemporary romances with humor and happily ever afters.

EXCERPT OF MATCHMAKERS:
Sophia filed off the airplane along with the other groggy passengers. The red-eye flight to Kansas City had knotted up her stomach. What in the hell was she doing back here?
Perfect persuasion and just the right amount of guilt had gotten her on that plane. Perhaps the tightening of her stomach wasn’t the flying—it could very well be that she’d returned to the very place she’d run from ten years ago.
She’d run from a man and shattered the hearts of people she loved. The guilt stung a little deeper. She should have come home years earlier.
Sophia followed a small group of women from the plane into the ladies’ room. Exhaustion weighed down her shoulders. Within the hour, she’d be at her grandmother’s house, tucked into her childhood bed, and asleep. In the meantime, she splashed cool water on her face to keep herself alert.
She dried her face and hands and adjusted the scarf at her neck to ensure it hid the secret she kept from the world. She picked up the carry-on luggage at her feet and headed toward baggage claim.
“Sophia.”
The husky voice was soft and male and made her knees weak when she heard it. She knew that voice as well as she knew her own. The knot in her stomach returned, but this time it was like a fist in her gut.
She turned to see him standing there in his pilot’s uniform with his suitcase at his side—David Kendal, the very man she’d run from so many years ago.
He took his pilot’s hat off and revealed the dark, wavy hair that she’d once run her fingers through. It was now speckled with hints of sophisticated silver. His uniform was striking on him—just as it had always been. Even in the early morning hour, she felt her skin tingle when she looked at his broad shoulders and knew what it was like to rest her head against his chest.
“David.” His name floated from her lips in a sigh. Ten years had passed since she’d last laid eyes on him, and now he was as large as life standing before her.
“I thought that was you on the plane.” He was walking closer to her, and her trembling knees wouldn’t allow her to run the other direction.
The scent of his cologne washed over her. His dark eyes were smoky and wide as she watched him take in the sight of her.
“You look wonderful.” He stepped closer, and Sophia gripped her bag tighter and tried to swallow the ball of fear that had lodged in her throat. He gripped his hat tighter. “I’ve been following your career.”
“Really?” The muscles in her shoulders tensed. “Why?”
“Why?” He chuckled and took one more step closer, and her throat constricted. “Sophia, you’re…” He shrugged as though brushing off a thought. “You’re very talented.”
Sophia shook her head, trying desperately to remove all thoughts of him from before—of what she’d lost. She sighed. “David, it was nice to see you. I really need to get my luggage.”
She turned from him, head up, shoulders back, and strode toward the elevator, stepping in as the door closed. She leaned her head against the back wall and closed her eyes.
How was it possible that after ten years he could stir such feelings in her? Sophia took inventory of what she was feeling. There was a surge of attraction between them. Then the anger she’d felt for years accompanied the thought of him. She’d walked out on him. His betrayal was much stronger than the attraction. It had given her purpose to make something of herself. Her success as a concert cellist sprang as much from her desire to succeed as it did from a need to escape her feelings for David.
Sophia opened her eyes when she heard the elevator doors open. The small group of others who had been aboard the plane with her stood watching the empty luggage carousel go around. Sophia waited for her cello case to arrive in the oversized luggage. It killed her to have to check the instrument, but there were no other choices. It was times like this she wondered why she didn’t play the violin. She could carry that onto the plane.
Relief flooded her as a man brought her the case. She quickly opened it and examined the instrument to assure herself it had arrived in one piece.
Her trip was to last two weeks. She’d wanted to pack only one bag, but against her better judgment, she’d packed two. When the two suitcases dropped to the carousel, she pulled them off and stacked them. One hung from the other, and she slung her carry-on over her shoulder. With a grunt, she hoisted her cello to her side. She started toward the curb to collect a cab.
Footsteps clattered on the tile floor behind her.
“Sophia.”
She wouldn’t let herself turn to see him hurrying to her.
“Let me help you.”
“I travel like this all the time. I do not need your assistance.” Her voice was cold.
“I wouldn’t be a gentleman if I didn’t offer to help a lady in need.”
“A gentleman?” He’d already taken her suitcases from her and wheeled them out to the sidewalk. “Mr. Kendal, I assure you I do not need you.”
“No, you made that perfectly clear when you disappeared and left your engagement ring in the sink.” He kept walking, forcing her to follow.
“Where are you going?” She tried to keep up with him, but his long stride kept him a hefty distance ahead of her.
He pointed off into the parking garage. “My car is parked just over here.”
“Your car?” She trotted to catch up with him. “I’m taking a cab.”
“I don’t want you in a cab in the middle of the night,” he said, unwavering from his path.
She grunted and quickened her step again.
“I don’t care what you think—”
“I know.” He darted a stare in her direction.
