Jack is the author of the Nikki Janicek series, a genre-bending, unpredictable 4-book ride from Lakes of the Clouds Hut in the White Mountains of New Hampshire ("Streaks of Blue," 2013) all the way to deep space ("Mars Colony Agatha: Nikki Red," 2019), with many interesting stops along the way ("Nikki Blue: Source of Trouble," 2015, and "Nikki White: Polar Extremes," 2017). Following the Nikki series, Chaucer has been shopping his feature film screenplay, "Kangaroo Couch," (think Aubrey Plaza vs. Harvey Weinstein), a screenplay adaptation of the book "You Thought It Was More," a memoir by casino counterfeiting legend Louis "The Coin" Colavecchio, and his new fantasy dark comedy TV mini series Pen, Sword & Dagger. Chaucer also has penned the ...more

“We have to reach out to kids sooner. Everybody needs to step outside of their comfort zone and become friends with someone who is different, no matter what that difference is. And we all have to do it much sooner then senior year of high school.”
Jack Chaucer, Streaks of Blue

“I must warn you," Jett said. "I'm far better at putting arrows into people than pulling them out."
Antero braced himself, shook his head and said, "Doesn't matter. I want to feel as much pain as possible ... for Hagema.”
Jack Chaucer, Revenge to the Tennth Power
tags: pain

“Aw, he’s in love,” Hagema cooed.

“Just stop,” Antero protested. “Though I will admit she is beautiful. And she can sing. But I can’t believe she just threatened the king in front of all these people. Pure suicide.”

“Damn it! That takes real ox balls! I would’ve been here sooner if this hellhole wasn’t in the middle of fuxing nowhere!” Hagema ranted.”
Jack Chaucer, Revenge to the Tennth Power

Topics Mentioning This Author

“I’m sure there are some people out there just rooting for our epic failure, rooting for the headline to say, ‘And Then There Were None’ … but I’m betting on my crew to outlive every one of them. Soon Mars will be full of human life, and no clever little media cowards will be part of that. -- Elon Musk in the upcoming, "MARS COLONY AGATHA: NIKKI RED," by Jack Chaucer ... 1-1-20”
Jack Chaucer

“Sam "Snowbow" Archambeau sat on his bunk and finally sharked his thumbnail through the sealed envelope marked, “Do not open until I blast off!” It had been inserted inside an outer envelope that had flown from Amsterdam to Cape Town to Christchurch to McMurdo Station to South Pole Station.
As he unfolded the red construction paper inside, Snowbow smiled at the incongruity of a rocket girl using snail mail to communicate her last Earthly message to him.

-- from the upcoming novel, MARS COLONY AGATHA: NIKKI RED by Jack Chaucer, 1-1-20”
Jack Chaucer

“Two Dutch, two Americans, one German and one Australian. And yet, as the rocket began to quake beneath us, my mind focused on a man in Antarctica. I thought about Sam "Snowbow" Archambeau waiting for the September sunrise to reach the South Pole. I smiled recalling him getting a haircut in a lawn chair next to the frozen barbershop pole." -- Nikki in the upcoming novel, "Nikki White: Polar Extremes" (Nikki, #3)”
Jack Chaucer, Nikki White: Polar Extremes

“It's hard. Being 15, 16, 17. You get so angry. You want to do something with that anger. I guess try to find some other way to let it out. Don't kill people. Don't kill yourself. Let yourself grow up a little. Then you might start to think differently about things. You might get new opportunities to do something with your life that you never thought possible as a teenager." -- Thomas Harvey from the upcoming novel, "Nikki White: Polar Extremes" (Nikki, #3)”
Jack Chaucer, Nikki White: Polar Extremes

“I write because it’s a way of puzzling out answers to situations in the world that I don’t understand. The act of writing a book gives me the same experience that I hope reading it gives readers. It forces me to sort through the various points of view on a given issue or situation and ultimately come to a conclusion. Doing that might not change my mind, but it almost always gives me a stronger sense of why my opinion is what it is—a question we rarely ask ourselves.”
Jodi Picoult

Jack Chaucer You're welcome Alex. If you are ever in the mood for a quick read with a teenage girl protagonist who gets hijacked by a mysterious man from 1984 to 2036, here's a free coupon code for my e-book "Queens are Wild" -- aa68x. It was just spotlighted by some bloggers in Australia, where the antagonist is from. It's not Dany and her dragons, but it's pretty entertaining. That code is good through 12-31-12. Enjoy :)
