Absolutely. Anytime. I don’t take anonymous asks (haven’t since 2014/series 3, since I got a ton of death threats and invitations to commit suicide over not thinking Mary was the best thing ever), but I’m always down for a question. And if you’d like to have it answered privately, just say the word!

I’m with you @barbsiebabe ! Once you go WIP you can’t go back! Nothing beats the camaraderie of reading a great fic with a bunch of people whom all want to praise and support authors!! (And I’m not really all that patient! ��)
I really love when people don’t wait! I fully support the choice of any reader who wants to! But part of why I’ve stopped posting WIPs as WIPs is because I know that so, so many people have gotten burned from getting super invested in a story that gets abandoned. I’ve been there myself and it SUCKS. So now, when I have a fic that I plan to post in chapters, I wait until it’s done before I even start posting, just so that every single person can know for a fact that, whether they read at the posting rate or wait until it’s all there first, regardless, the story is decidedly finished.
Also, in the earlier days of fandom, particularly on ff.net and the like, a lot of newer authors relied heavily on the advice and guidance of their readers in terms of making decisions about how the story would go. I don’t function that way, and while there will nevertheless be readers who put pressure on me in their comments in terms of how they’d like to see things unfold, which they’re free to do, the easy go-to for me here is to just gently remind them that the story is, in fact, already written in completion. :P
I love watching that camaderie between readers, too, whether it’s on one of my own stories or someone else’s! That’s something that you just can’t replicate with published/offline fiction, that community experience of reading something together! :) I can’t wait to go on this journey with you folks! <33333333333333

Since I’m now writing this beast in chapter form, I can now say that chapter 12 has been put to bed....
Since I’m now writing this beast in chapter form, I can now say that chapter 12 has been put to bed. :) 73,000+ words now! I thiiiink there will be about 14 chapters in total, and they’ll come grouped into Parts. The plan is to finish the whole thing, then drop it one Part (about 3 chapters per Part) at a time, spaced about three days apart. It’s a heavy one in places, so I think a bit of digesting time between sections would be good, although I’m well aware that some of you (bless!) will wait until it’s all posted so that you can devour it at will, as is your prerogative! :P I’ll post the posting schedule once it’s ready to start posting. Meanwhile, I solved the bomb bit, so that’s good news. :) On with the last leg!!
