YOU’RE NEVER TOO BROKEN TO BE FIXED.
Wow. JVN spoke his truth about being abused by an older boy at his church, filling his emotional void with junk food and then drugs (meth and coke) and sex, selling his body to make money cuz he was too embarrassed to ask his mom for help, flunking out of college, relapsing after rehab twice, and finding out at 25 that he was HIV positive. His journey’s been harrowing and yet he seems like such a radiant and positive person. He’s even braver than any of us realized.
I love JVN so much. He is such a beautiful person, and it just reminds me that some of the most beautiful people are the ones who have suffered the most. I’m glad I get to know that he exists and to see the way he works with people. He brings so much light into this world. <333333333333

So, I started this great (to me, anyway, lol) Mycroft POV fic that will be somewhat dark in nature, but of course will eventually end well. But then real life took a sudden dive for the shits in one specific area, which I don’t want to talk about, and suddenly the fic felt too depressing for me to write right now. So I started a new one this morning. It’s the exact opposite of a fake-couple-for-a-case trope, haha! It’s also a destination fic. In this one, Sherlock and John are going to a Republican group’s anti-gay-marriage conference, where they will become a couple and have to hide it for the sake of their case. Ha! Because why not?? It’s set in New York, which I adore, so yay for armchair travel, too. :)
Off to write. And/or maybe nap. Or both. Yeah. Both is good. :)

Omg why won’t tumblr let me open someone’s blog without it just being a sidebar on my dash?! It’s driving me fucking crazy!!!! I’ve tried opening the person’s blog by going “open in new tab”, by opening a new tab and then typing in their url, by googling their username + tumblr, and every single time, it adds the “dashboard” thing to the url when I don’t want it to! How do I get around this and just open an actual fucking page??????
