So. Tired.

The marathon is ALMOST done. This was my schedule this week:

Sunday (technically my day off): church (I sing in the choir), first orchestra rehearsal for Messiah (I’m the paid soprano section lead), family dinner, slice of evening time (I worked on my fic and did laundry)

Monday (technically my day off): did an extra long workout to make up for missed ones last week (no time, ugh), baked Christmas cookies with my mom (as scheduled weeks ago), taught voice lessons at the conservatory where I teach

Tuesday: worked at my regular (museum) job all day, taught voice lessons until 9pm, conservatory Christmas party after

Wednesday: worked at my regular job all day, went directly to Messiah dress rehearsal, got home around 10:30pm

Thursday: worked at my regular job, left an hour early to rush off to a carolling gig (in full Victorian period costume), rushed away from that to church choir rehearsal, which I conducted half of, since I’m now conducting the Charpentier Messe pour Minuit for Christmas Eve. First time conducting that choir, so no pressure or anything!

Friday (today): worked at my regular job, rushed away to go directly to tonight’s Messiah performance

Tomorrow (Saturday): will work all day, then rush away to go directly to tomorrow night’s Messiah performance

Sunday: big carol service in the morning, then I plan to nap or die or something, then go to a dinner party. And then it’s officially the holidays (I’m taking the 24th-26th off), but I have a meeting with the new regional manager of my shitty, shitty apartment building (that one that’s had only one functioning elevator since June, has regular middle-of-the-night fire alarms go off, and denied me hot water for the entire month of November, and is now planning to renovate the in-house gym which is the only reason why I renewed my lease and will now be out of commission for over a month, so yeah - I’m not a happy tenant, to put it lightly!!), then a family thing, plus my family is hosting the extended family Christmas dinner on Christmas Day, so my mom and I will be cooking for that. On the 26th, at least, I plan to vegetate in front of the TV with my bestie. And then I’m back at work on the 27th. *weeps*

I’m going to take a (brief) bath and then pass out, because I have another 14-hour day waiting on me tomorrow. It’s all good stuff. It’s just a lot of good stuff. Hope you guys are doing well! <3333333333333333333333

Omg yay! My story The Impossible Word just achieved 30,000 hits today!! This one is special to me - I mean, they all are, but some of my stories are closer to the heart than others, and this is one of those ones. I wrote it partly to underscore what a terrible idea I think that infidelity is, as I recall. It’s also a Sherlock POV, which I adore writing, and yeah. It’s messy and difficult and problematic - and, I hope, realistic! It does end well, though. Eventually. It’s one of my later series 3 fix-its and the 12th of my current 85 posted stories to have exceeded 30,000 hits, so - thank you hugely, from the bottom of my heart!

One of the lads was over at my London flat the other day, and I Instagrammed a picture of him and said, “Look at this cutie,” and a million outlets reported that I was coming out as gay. I’m not gay, but two of my mates came out when I was 15 and it was a joy to support them because, as a group, we are all secure enough in who we are. I’m certainly not going to stop calling my mates cuties and gorgeous, because they are cuties and they are gorgeous.

I’m not someone who’s remotely perturbed by male intimacy

Literally if all straight men were like this the world would be 100% less awful

I found the polar opposite of toxic masculinity and I love it.

Taron Egerton is fantastic ❤️
