I managed to write a bit tonight! It really is amazing how mental/emotional health goes hand-in-hand with creativity. A lot of that has to do with you guys, you know. You’re just the kindest, loveliest people around. Just know that I know it, and appreciate every one of you just so very much. <3333333333333333
Just as an update for anyone who saw my post the other night and was wondering, I did get the apartment! I had to scrape and beg a little (the rental company of this other building prefers that tenants’ rent be no more than one-third of their income - and I have NEVER made enough money that my monthly expenses weren’t a solid 90% or so of my income, if not 100%). It made me feel like a poverty-ridden worm, even though I’ve never once in my life not paid my rent on time and in full (sometimes with help, but still!). But I did get it in the end, so I’m moving in a month! Cue all the anxiety of moving - the upheaval, the costs, the Major Life Transition which your friendly neighbourhood fic author is like, REALLY bad at in general, etc. But that’s one thing settled, at least! My work continues to be a dumpster fire, my awful abusive supervisor is back from her five-week stress leave (her existence makes many of us crave stress leave, ourselves…), but yeah. It’s progress!
Anyway, rambling aside, the new fic is now at 10,100 words! :)
