Lessons my Grandma taught me!

I have such fond memories of my grandmothers. They were both special in their own way and taught me so much about how to live my life that I will be forever grateful! Here’s the list of six top things they shared with me:

(1) Don’t say anything if you can’t say something nice about someone. I think this is my favorite one as it has kept me in good stead all my life.

(2) Never be late. Doing so makes you think you’re more important than someone else. You’re not!

(3) Life is too serious to be taken seriously. Keep a sense of humor, it will help get you through the hard times. They were both right about that one!

(4) Share what you can with those in need. Know what is your burden to bear, and what is not. This one has

L Dear January,
I would like to thank you for being my friend (and for acepting my friendship request) here on GoodReads.

January Bain Hi Sarah Elizabeth, it was lovly to be invited to promote Forever Man on your blog! And thanks for your kind comments about Forever Man. I wrote it quite a bit of time ago and rereading it I feel the hopefulness of that time. I'm a lot more complicated now in my approach to life and it shows in my newer books, like The Time Key, Forever Woman and PLANET. Evolution is a good thing, I hope!

Sarah Elizabeth Hi Januray,

Thanks for the friend-vite and thanks for stopping by my blog ☺ 'Forever Man' looks great!

Blog: considering time travel

Thinking about "causality" today, the relationship between a first event (cause) and a second event (effect) as it relates to my favorite subject this fall, time travel. Looks like to avoid paradoxes into the past, I'll need to have the time machine invented before the time in the past it is needed to "fix" an event, with a character, for example. Definately affects how the story will unfold, but I really want the story to be seen well by hard science people as well as churn up the imagination of all my hoped for readers!

January Bain Hello, it is a pleasure to meet you as well. Have a great day! Best, January
