Natural Black Hair Tutorial!
Usually Black hair is excluded in the hair tutorials which I have seen so I have gone through it in depth because it’s really not enough to tell someone simply, “Black hair is really curly, draw it really curly.”

The next part of Black Hair In Depth will feature styles and ideas for designing characters and I will release it around February. If you would like to see certain styles, please shoot me a message!

YES! BOOSTINGGGG FOR MY FOLKS WHO WANNA/NEED TO KNOW HOW

Ooo … I’ve been wanting to draw Steve and Claire Rogers. This could be useful.

Another Big Name Leaves Kindle Unlimited

Rosalind James, a writer who made a name for herself on Amazon, and previously a supporter of Amazon’s exclusivity contract, is leaving Kindle Unlimited. I’m hearing about more and more big name self-published authors jumping ship. Hugh Howley, author of the famous Wool series, is saying he won’t stay in Kindle Unlimited either.

KU Part 3.5 -- UGH!

So Kindle Unlimited had two tiers of compensation:

1) a flat share of a pot that is divvied up among all authors in KU based on how many borrows they’ve had.

2) bonuses for the top performers received in addition to the payout for borrows.

I had thought that anyone who was in second category would automatically be making buck in KU … but apparently not. H. M. Ward, definitely in the top tier of performers says that KU crushed her sales (and profits).

Should this mean you should skip KU?

I think if you already have traction on other retailers you should stick with them.

If you’re just starting out I think you should jump into KU for the added exposure, and ride that train until it comes to a screeching halt. Then I think you should go wide to other distributors.
