I was in a podcast … the Bitter Without You guys did this interview a few months back, when I was working a lot more than I was now. (working for things other than writing, that is.) It was very gracious of them, and I hope that I came off okay, at one point I meant to say “good or evil” but only said good. I was so nervous!

Notes from the Classroom, the fanfic author I mention in the podcast has an awesome fic here. (She has a lot of other great stories and is an award winning author in real life).

"I think there are very interesting things that happen. In the mythology, when you get into Ragnarok, which is the "end of all things", it’s not the end of the world…It’s the end of time, and the universe, and space. And I think, if I am correct…Loki essentially, sets that in motion. And his motivation for doing so is intriguing and he almost becomes the incarnation of chaos, in a way…So I think that can be quite new.” —Tom Hiddleston [nov 2013]

They’re using I Bring the Fire language?

Someone on Facebook suggested he’s been reading I Bring the Fire secretly. I wish he’d read it non-secretly. It would help my sales.

Valkyrie

valkyrie (valkyrja ”chooser of the slain”) is a woman who has the power to choose those who may die in battle and those who may live. Valkyries also appear as beautiful lovers of heroes and other mortals, where they are sometimes described as the daughters of royalty. Many valkyrie names emphasize associations with battle and, in many cases, on the spear—a weapon heavily associated with the god Odin. They are originally viewed as “demons of the dead to whom warriors slain on the battlefield belonged”.

So whenever you think of women as fragile, delicate creatures, remember that a valkyrie is a fierce powerful warrior woman who could chose if you live or die in a battle. Don’t mess with her!!!

Magical!

What is he dreaming about? Oh, trick question! He isn’t dreaming. He’s smiling in his happily dreamless sleep.

SOMEONE REQUESTED ALL MY BOOKS AT THEIR LIBRARY THROUGH OVERDRIVE. Thank you unknown reader, you made my day! I would love every library to have my stories.

For anyone who doesn’t know, Overdrive supports older e-Ink devices (old Kindles and I think Nook); you don’t have to read on your phone if you find that too bright and uncomfortable. And it’s FREE for the reader!
