So while I was researching Loki for I Bring the Fire, I wound up researching Satan. And now, when I see stories with Satan as the villain I’m as disappointed as when Loki is the villain. It just feels like such a let down; like the author just went the easy road and thought to themselves, “Nothing embodies evil like the Devil/Loki!”
Wow, again you always manage to sound incredible pretentious about writing. Although there is no way I can say this without being offensive, so please consider that any one of those people may have put just as much research into Satan, Lucifer, Beelzebub, Apollyon, Loki, Mephistopheles, Kali… as you did into your research. You are implying that to choose a canonically evil character automatically invalidates the story that author wants to tell, because they clearly can’t know as much as you do about the deity in question.
Well, whatever. I’ve already read the entire I Bring the Fire series, but after seeing your Tumblr posts like this, I don’t plan to buy any more of your works.
Oh, you’re so right … I am coming off pretentious about my views of Loki and Satan, and I shouldn’t have written that.
Your comment made me realize that right now I’m too close to my interpretation of their histories, and I thank you for it. I don’t believe that there isn’t an author who can’t write fantastic stories about them as the evil guy–I just can’t read those stories right now if they feature Satan or Loki in that role. My head and heart aren’t in the right place for it.
Which doesn’t mean others can’t or shouldn’t read or enjoy them. I’m sorry for offending writers or readers with my original comment. Readers should read what they enjoy and writers should write what inspires and energizes them.

I highly recommend it: action, romance (one love scene that didn’t need to be so explicit, but you know, some people like that sort of thing), and a kracken! Well, not really a kracken … but you’ll see …
It’s only 99 CENTS on Amazon right now, no idea how long the sale will last.
I’m HOPING this big ol’ sale means book 2 is almost out.
