100 things to do around the house

When I set goals for this year, I had a few big things on my house list. Dion had a few other things and when we put those two lists together, it triggered yet some more things, so I pulled up my amazing life workbook and started typing up the list.

I think we got to 32 for the first draft! I’ve since added a few more things because.. why not? Might as well see the whole, big, scary picture!

Something that was on our list last year was to get the front of the house (the area around the pool)...

5 ways to create a beautiful life

I was recently asked to give a talk about creating a beautiful life.

Before we delve into the detail, let me start by saying that each of us decides what a beautiful life looks like, we design and create it, and then we have to make sure we live that life in integrity, where our talk and our walk line up.

So how do you create this beautiful life?

1. Live with intention

Decide what you want your life to look like and create that vision, day by day, hour by hour. Living with intention is simple...

Have you heard about an app called Moment?

It’s a scary but very insightful app.

I read about it on a blog (which is how I find out all my information :)) and installed it.

Good thing I made my photo projects list because that was just the kick-in-the-butt I needed to get going:

Without further ado, here is a selection of photos from January this year. It’s so funny to see all of us in swimming costumes and sleeveless clothes :)

5 things I don’t mind splurging on

A couple of bloggers wrote posts like this and I thought, why not? I’ll join in.

I’m not really a splurger as such but there are a few places where I like to spend money.

Splurges |www.OrganisingQueen.com

1. My tithe

My first EFT out of my account on payday is my tithe. I actually LOVE paying my tithe because I recognise that I truly have nothing that God hasn’t given me first.

So this is not a true splurge but it is something I have paid faithfully for the last 20 years, every single month.

2. Savings account

I’m a really p...

It all started with a few lines on a page…

The lady had us draw 4 quadrants on a page.

In one quadrant she asked us to write a bit about where we saw ourselves in 20 – 30 years.

I wrote something like “a motivational speaker travelling around the country talking to groups of women” and while I waited for the others to finish, I thought, “so what can I do now to start me on that path?”

And that’s how I started the newsletter. Thirteen years ago!

What’s no longer serving you?

Today I have a question for you – what’s no longer serving you?

Sometimes we keep on doing things simply because we’re in the habit of doing them and not because they actually serve us anymore.

Let me explain.

What's no longer serving you?

You go through a really busy period at work and work until 6pm every night. After that, it’s become a habit so you continue to do so EVEN THOUGH there’s really no need. But it’s no longer serving you. You could be enjoying the extra time at home with your family, exercising, taking up...
