Today I finished the Mighty Thor (pictured above) I have finally finished my Cuddly Avenger Movie set, and my experiment with using tan paper and markers has had some unexpected results. I am quite proud of the work in this medium and re-working the movie Avenger team into the Cuddly Heroes. Take a look at the gallery after the jump.

Atlas the Robot that now walk’s amongst us… Science fiction is fastly becoming fact!

atlasx299Meet Atlas,  a biped free-standing environment aware rescue robot able to move around his surroundings and manipulate them. It is finally here the true dawning of an age I thought I would never see. Atlas is going to be the Grandfather of the Robots we read about Isaac Asimov I, Robot or in 2000AD ABC Warriors, watched as Cylons on TV or as the friend Androids in Star Wars.

The future is now and it is getting very, very exciting. To me Atlas is the first recognizable step towards the robotic tropes of our imagination, he is the Apple Computer that birthed the entire personal computer age… Twenty to thirty years from now they will be walking amongst us as common as that hand-held computer in your hand.

Alex Jones of Infowars shockingly uncovered as Head of False Flag CIA Misinformation Operations

Alex Jones CIA Misinformation Head Operative

Pictured with the CIA crest over his shoulder this is the proof that Alex Jones is the Head of CIA Misinformation Operations on Mainland USA.

Breaking News – Alex Jones, Champion of truth and justice for the common man has been revealed as the head of CIA False Flag Misinformation Operations in mainland USA. The passionate proclaimer of undercover government conspiracies has now been outed as working for the government all along. Sponsors of his popular mainstream news website have proclaimed their shock that such a straight arrow like Alex Jones was able to pull the wool over their eyes for so long… Now the truth is out there for you all to see. Don’t let Alex Jones fool you with his ferment denials because if he has taught anything the more you deny the accusation the more truth there is in it.

I kid of course… But just for a second I got ya. This post was born of a Facebook conversation about how a fringe website such as Infowars with its wild conspiracy theories, badly Photoshopped images, blurry videos, and Alex Jones shouting at you that what he is saying is truth because he says it is, have started to bleed into what laughing passes as the news in the USA. We figured that someone should post an image of Alex Jones with the headline that he is really a CIA Operative trained in misinformation, because the more he denies it, the more true (in conspiracy theorists) minds that it is true… We figured we might pop some brain cells. The truth is out there folks… Just not on Infowars… Unless of course they say it is then… Hey… It must be true…

Comic Review – Lilith Dark Issue #4 by CDowd… Eat or be Eaten

LilithDark4Title – Lilith Dark #4

Writer/Artist – CDowd

Publisher – Indie

Website – http://lilithdark.com/

This Saturday while I was at Annapolis Comic Con I picked up Issue #4 of fun Monster book Lilith Dark – the tale of a little Girl with an over active imagination and a tree full of actual Monsters.  When we left Lilith in Issue #3 she had proclaimed herself Queen of the Monsters and her Sister was about to be served up for Dinner. Which is totally not Choco Pizza, but ranks higher than Meat Loaf!!!The book continues with its innocent charm this time Big Brother Dewey attempts to come to the rescue of his two sisters, while Lilith still seems completely oblivious of the danger she is in and thanks to Spoon now owns the helmet of her dreams. I have to say I am enjoying this book, the CDowd does a great job with the art and the story is fun to read.

I do kind of wish that we are seeing Lilith go on the imaginative journeys she was having in her first book, and dragging everyone else along with her. But I understand what CDowd is doing here, Lilith for all her feistiness is still a very young girl and the danger in his book is alarming real, or at least seems to be at the moment. Not as much fun as the first three books, but it establishes what is going to happen next. Checkout the book and learn more about Lilith Dark here.

3.5 thumbs up out of 5

Movie Review – Man of Steel so when is Superman not Superman?

MOS-GraphicYou knew this was going to happen… the Man of Steel movie review. I am going to keep this fairly short as this movie does nothing but polarize the viewer. You will love it or you will hate it.

This is no more a Superman movie than the Batman movie was really a movie about Batman. DC and Christopher Nolan seems to have a huge problem with their live action Superheroes actually being heroic… Which is odd because DC really does kickass with their animation features. This live action Man of Steel is not a Superman movie it really isn’t a superhero movie it is missing that innocent joy and wonder…

I see the Nolan hand of hyper realism, but when you come off the Marvel movies that seem to handle the basic fact that Superheroes are a little cheesy and embraces it. Moody tension, unclear CGI and the lead characters basically not being heroic you just throw you arms up and go… Why?

I never thought I would say that at least the Green Lantern movie captured the feel of a superhero, at least Hal attempted to save lives at the cost to himself. If Man of Steel is the gateway into the DC movie universe I don’t want to continue this journey. I’ve already seen Batman and now Superman be pale imitations of themselves in Nolan’s quest to make everything realistic and ground. I cannot imagine just how badly they would handle the entire Justice League… It will be an entire team of heroes just looking round and saying, “Meh… Not feeling it today…”

I’m not recommending this movie… It really isn’t what you think its going to be going in.
