Phew… Been a day and a bit… I almost didn’t make my in-store appearance at Xpanding Universe due to a sudden issue with my Jeep not working… at all… Still issue fixed (hopefully) and I made it for a grand day out with Dan Nokes, a store full of comic books and of course Tristan the Teddy Bear.

A Band Of Cuddly Toys Must Team Together To Stop The Bogeyman

“Teddy Bears Protecting Children from Monsters Under the Bed Since 1902…”

A heroic group of Cuddly Toys team-up to take on the Bogeyman and the Monsters under the Bed in an adventure comic for all ages, that is seeking funding on Kickstarter.

A small band of discarded Plushy Toys called the Cuddly Defenders led by an old Teddy Bear called Tristan do battle against the Evil Bogeyman and his Legions of Monsters under the Bed who are trying to steal the Power of Imagination, and turn the human world into an age of nightmares.

The Cuddly Defenders adventures are going to be published in a quarterly released comic book throughout 2015. To help our Heroic Cuddly Friends on their way with this brand new book, we have created a Kickstarter to help get the ball rolling, this is where you come in!

Tristan, Wilma, Archer and Fernando need your help.

What is this Kickstarter?

We are asking you to check out the Cuddly Defenders Kickstarter and pledge to help us, the writers and artists for Tristan and the Cuddly Defenders to launch a comic book. This is what we want to do.

Hero, a Super Hero Teddy Bear for all ages

Hero – A Superhero Teddy Bear for all ages by Nick Davis

Meet Hero, a mild-mannered Teddy Bear who looks after his child and protects him from all things bad. This Teddy Bear is already a hero, but when he puts on his child’s security blanket he gains the power of flight and super-strength (for a Teddy Bear). Hero is an all-ages heroic Teddy Bear for ages 3+ and is a new character that will introduced to the early-reader Teddy Bear Tales books. As you can see from the concept illustration Hero is still a work in progress and as we move towards publication I am sure his look may change, like adding a mask or giving the security blanket a personality.

While Children Sleep Teddy Bears Protect Them From the Monsters Under the Bed

As you know I am busy pushing the next Cuddly Defenders Kickstarter so we can launch the Quarterly Comic and continue the adventures of our heroic plushy pals as they take on the Bogeyman, and his Legions of the Monsters under the Bed.

After the jump you can view an animation called Mean Teddies by Tyler Novo, featuring a Teddy Bear protecting his child from, you guessed it, a Monster under the Bed. While it is awfully close to the work I am doing with the Teddy Bear Tales it is still a different take on the whole Teddy vs Monsters story that has been rattling around recently.

Tristan and his pals aren’t quite as mean as the Bear in this clip, but is has the look and feel we are going for in the Cuddly Defenders comic books. Anyhow check out the video below… And if you get chance checkout our Kickstarter and please pledge.
