Today, Id like to introduce you to Laura Kicey, a graphic designer, illustrator, photographer and artist currently living in quarantine in her house in the Philadelphia suburbs with her partner and their three cats. While not all of Lauras creative work is about cats, most of it is, and if it isnt, it is in the service of cats one way or another, she says.

I had a chance to ask Laura some questions about her art, her cats, and her work.

Tell us a little...

The immune system is an intricate system of biological processes and structures that protects the body against disease. A healthy immune system is able to recognize and fend off invaders such as viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens. Keeping your cats immune system strong will help prevent health problems and protect her against disease.

In order to protect and boost your cats immune system, consider the following:

Sunday Quotes: Stay Grounded

stay-grounded-cat-woman

Staying grounded is critical to your mental health at any time, but especially now. If youre not familiar with the concept, grounding yourself means bringing yourself into the present moment.

There are a lot of different ways to accomplish that. It can be as simple as taking a few deep breaths. It can be accomplished with meditation, and with any number of other exercises. For me, the quickest way to get grounded is to remind myself to feel my feet on the floor. This articles offers a long...

Mews and Nips: Samsung Redesigned Its TV Boxes So They Can Be Upcycled Into Adorable Cat Houses

samsung-tv-boxes-cat-houses

I love when companies get creative. Gizmodo reported that in order to help reduce its carbon footprint, Samsung will start using packaging made from eco-friendly corrugated cardboard for its higher-end TVs. The cardboard is perforated with a dot matrix pattern. Scanning a QR code on the boxes with a mobile device grants access to instruction manuals for turning the cardboard into an adorable cat house (or magazine racks, shelving, and end tables, but honestly, I stopped reading at cat ...

Aztec-cats-Orion

Guest post by Ingrid R. Niesman, MS PhD

Cats, including community cats, are daily reminders of the simple joy animals bring into our lives. This three-part series is based on my personal experience caring for the campus cats at San Diego State University.

When I was perusing the news with my morning coffee on December 31, 2019, a small headline about a novel coronavirus...

Have you ever had something for so long, you simply cant imagine being without it, and when it finally breaks on you, its like losing a dear friend? Thats how I felt about the slicker brush Ive had since I got my very first cat, Feebee, in 1984.

All of my cats have loved this brush. It was awesome at getting hair out, and they all seemed to love the pretty strong massage action it provided. Allegra in particular went nuts for this brush. She knows that it...

Sometimes, the best toys are the simplest ones, and what cat doesnt like paper bags? The folks at Dezi & Roo have taken this concept just a little further and created the Hide and Sneak Paper Tunnel.

Dezi & Roo was created by our resident veterinarian, Dr. Lynn Bahr, who authors our monthly Ask the Cat Doc column. Over the course of her veterinary career, Dr. Bahr found that the lifestyle of cats has changed dramatically. As the lifestyle of cats has...
