Ian Butler began writing in 2008 after suffering a stroke in England. Currently living in County Fermanagh, Ian has over twenty years experience in social work, including working with high-risk adolescents. Previous to this he travelled extensively across Europe and The Americas.

Interested in fiction, non-fiction as well as polemical pieces from a left of centre, environmental perspective, Ian is developing novels, plays and screenplays. His first screenplay was short-listed for NI Screen’s Primetime award and he has just signed a publishing contract which has seen his first novel, Burger Bar Dad, published as an ebook, building to a release as a hard-back in Autumn 2012.

Learning to look at things differently…….

To be frank even with my first victory I realise that has to be paid for. A half an hour session with the physio costs two hours sleeping as just the simple things tire me out.
