READ: Federal judge strikes South Carolina's discriminatory marriage ban
In a ruling that is stayed until 11/20, US District Judge Mark Gergel struck down South Carolina's ban on same-sex marriage. Equality Case Files brings us the order:
2:14-cv-04010 #37 South Carolina Order by Equality Case Files
This is the second Carolina in as many months to move toward marriage equality. Though I do hear the always-determined-yet-most-always-wrong side of history believes it will have better luck in East and West Carolina.

On this #VeteransDay, anti-gay activist calls 92-yr-old WW2 vet 'disordered,' 'abhorrent'
The Associated Press ran a Veterans Day story about 92-year-old Rupert Starr, a World War II hero who went on to fight against "Don't Ask Don't Tell." Professional anti-gay activist Matt Barber was clearly touched:
Barbwire.com founder Matt Barber says the article is a slap in the face to veterans – on a day celebrating their heroism.
He tells OneNewsNow: "To make this about sexual identity politics, and to focus on this individual's abhorrent sexual proclivities and his lifestyle choices, and...
Audio: Tony Perkins mad at Tim Cook for having audacity to be gay
Whenever a brand and its leaders are into conservative causes, Tony Perkins is right there. "Chick-fil-A day" was like a national holiday at his Family Research Council. Hobby Lobby is an in-house hero. Oh, and he was so involved with the Conestoga Wood case that Tony was actually with the conservative business owners on the day their Supreme Court decision came down.
But when it's a gay CEO standing for his basic acceptance, then that is of course a case of a CEO pushing a "radical agenda." O...

Audio: Just the spouse of one of Congress' most anti-gay members justifying dangerous attempts to de-gay humans; no biggie
Rep. Michele Bachmann (Shockingly Far R—MN) believes homosexuality is "part of Satan, I think." But it's husband Marcus and his clinics that do the on-the-ground work of removing that damn demon from the gay person:

NOM to GOP: We will continue to tear you apart in 2016, too!
The National Organization For Marriage helped elect three pro-equality Democrats in the most recent election, two in the US House and one in the US Senate. To be fair, I would say "helped" is a very strong word since NOM spent very little money and seems to be one of the least effective special interest groups in DC. But they did target three pro-equality Republicans, and all three of them lost.
Now NOM, an organization that has seen over thirty marriage equality states come in on its watch an...
.9% in MA gubernatorial race 'vindicated' Scott Lively for years of animus
Scott Lively, one of the most ardent and vicious-tongued global activists against LGBT rights of our modern times, managed to convince .9% of Massachusetts' 2014 electorate to vote for him for governor. Which "vindicates" him of his years of anti-LGBT animus, apparently:
On a personal note, I want to say how much I have enjoyed campaigning. Indeed, “enjoyed” is far too small a word for it. I have experienced a profound sense of satisfaction and fulfillment on the campaign trail. I can’t rememb...
OMG VIDEO: COGIC conference purports to cure gay man; 'I DON'T LIKE MENZ NO MORE!'
This weekend was the 107th Holy Convocation of the Church of God in Christ, which is a big ally of the National Organization For Marriage. Now laugh and cry in equal measure at what happened on Saturday night:
Actually, I'm done with the instinctive laughter. It feels too cruel. Poor guy.

Missouri wedding vendors open to more love, more cash
This is a refreshing change of pace:
In light of a judge's recent ruling on same-sex marriages in the state of Missouri, one industry showed a visible sign of support for gay couples this weekend.
...
"The most consistent conversation that I've had with same sex couples is, 'We're not really sure how to approach these wedding professionals – because we don't want to be told that they're not going to service our wedding,' Its kind of a complicated conversation for them to have," said Kassaundra S...
ADF marriage pamphlet equates current marriage equality backers with 1880s polygamists, 1960s segregationists
Here is a snippet from the anti-LGBT Alliance Defending Freedom's new pamphlet on marriage and their ongoing attempt to discriminate within it:
[FULL: ADF]
Let's start at the beginning.
On number 1: Yes, society will always be filled with men and women. And some of them are geared to love within the same sex. Recognizing this fact and civilly respecting those taxpayers who are as deserving as their opposite-sex–loving counterparts does not "change" any facts about men and women. Recognizing our...
