Bryan Fischer says Giglio was actually pro-gay because he was pro-'ex-gay'

Bryan Fischer, apparently confused about what vision of LGBT people won the last election, says Pastor Louie Giglio should have remained as Inauguration preacher because "saving" gays is actually a "pro-gay" position:

Hmmm…homosexuality is a sin and change is possible through Christ. There’s not a thing that is “radical” about that message. It’s the same message Christianity has preached for 2000 years and which America believed virtually without question for the first 350 years of its existen...

NOM clearly moving forward with nasty 'gays against gay marriage' idea

I've already shown you how the National Organization For Marriage has purchased domain names to push the idea that many gay people are themselves against equal marriage rights. Today, a sign that they seriously are planning to run with that idea. NOM has co-opted another site's video, branded it as "Gay Voices Against Gay Marriage," uploaded it to NOM's own video feed, and turned the whole thing into an advocacy blog post:

Another Inauguration Benediction, another anti-gay pastor

ThinkProgress has the scoop—transcript, audio, and everything else:

Inaugural Benediction To Be Delivered By Pastor Who Delivered Vehemently Anti-Gay Sermon [ThinkProgress LGBT]

Pagebreak-222

**And now in a you-can't-make-this-up coincidence:

Not that this coincidence necessarily adds fuel to the pastor's anti-gay quote bank. It's just bizarre. I mean, seriously—what are the odds?

Stunning illogic from NOM's Thomas Peters

Screen Shot 2012-12-11 At 4.59.15 PmCalling it a "consequence of redefining marriage," National Organization For Marriage Cultural Director Thomas Peters is condemning Washington, DC's National Cathedral for choosing to exercise its religious freedom in a way that accommodates same-sex wedding ceremonies. He writes:

Examples like this remind us that when you redefine "civil" marriage you create the new possibility of same-sex ceremonies in churches. Gay marriage advocates love to artificially split these two recognitions of marr...

Video: One hostile man playing God says my marriage = 'two disturbed people play house'

A politically involved megapastor continues his penchant for pure animus:

Oh yes, Pastor Hagee—my husband and I are disturbed all right. We're deeply disturbed by the seeming thrill that folks like you seem to get out of denigrating ours, a home that neither concerns nor disturbs you one iota.

National Cathedral exercises its religious freedom; sure to tick off those who make constant 'religious freedom' claims

Another historic development in an era where history is being made every day:

Washington, D.C.—The Very Rev. Gary Hall, dean of Washington National Cathedral, has announced that, effective immediately, same-sex weddings may be celebrated at the Cathedral.

“Washington National Cathedral has a long history of advancing equality for people of all faiths and perspectives,” said Hall. “The Cathedral is called to serve as a gathering place for the nation in times of significance, but it is also roote...

Progress in the form of rhyming stanzas

An historic selection for the upcoming inauguration:

Obama Selects Gay Latino Poet Richard Blanco to Read at Inauguration Ceremony [Towle]

One word of advice, Richard: Don't start with "There once was a man from Nantucket." We wouldn't want to give birthers another reason to think his Hawaiian birth certificate is fake.
