Civil unions coming to Focus on the Family's backyard
All it needs is Governor Hickenloooper's (D) signature:
BREAKING: Civil Unions To Become Law In Colorado After Final House Vote [ThinkProgress]

Video: A lot of people sure regret their DOMA votes; here's a former MN state Rep. expressing hers
Another one from today's MN marriage hearing (and from YouTuber Jim B)—this one featuring a former representative who, as a Republican serving in the state legislature, voted for Minnesota's so-called Defense of Marriage Act. Regrets, she has a few:

Video: And now this sweepingly wrong and rabidly offensive medical update from the MN marriage debate
The person who sent this clip from the Minnesota marriage debate (happening today) described it as among the more shocking testimonies he's ever heard in a state marriage debate. I have to agree, which is really saying something, considering I once heard a man suggest our marriages will lead to sex with androids. Take a look:

Actually, aren't we the cause of the coming zombie apocalypse? Didn't I read that somewhere?

New slight from ever-aggressive NOM: My marriage undermines basic math
Check out this lovely little graphic that the once-pragmatic-but-increasingly-aggressive National Organization For Marriage is running:
Don't be fooled—this condemnation goes far beyond marriage. If you accept that there is such thing as an LGBT person, that LGBT people form couples, and that LGBT people pay taxes, then there is no way you can see LGBT couple's desire to enter into the civil institution we call marriage as some sort of freaky concept that flips basic reality on i...
Video: FRC hopes SCOTUS confuses us for a theocracy, society of junk science
The Family Research Council's new video tries to make some semblance of a civil case. However, it's personally held theology and myopic "science" that guides the day:
I do agree with Tony Perkins on one thing: Marriage is not about sexual orientation. I just wish he and his cohorts would stop making is unfair limitation all about one particular sexual orientation (which actual science, unlike FRC's preferred kind, fully recognizes) and its supposed power to pick the lock on Pandora's infamous...

NOM lies about March For Marriage 'likes' mere inches from actual count
On the left you will see a post in which NOM claims to have 3.6K Facebook LIKES on its "March For Marriage" page. On the right, an actual count from NOM's March For Marriage page, just inches above the false claim:
Moreover, this 3.6K number is also what NOM is running on its MarchForMarriage.org site. And it's a lie. A bold and blatant one.
**MEANWHILE, our pro-equality rally page has 4200+ legitimate LIKES. Go join that momentum.

NOM found at least two musicians willing to go on record for discrimination
'Concerned Woman' convinced we're seeking her approval; frankly, I wasn't even seeking her opinion
Her social science misinformation is typically misrepresentative. But honestly, the more infuriating is this Concerned Women For America staffer's egocentric insistence as to what equality activists are seeking:
"[T]hose who argue that same-sex marriage is an “equal rights” issue misunderstand that the whole issue of same-sex marriage is not about benefits and protections; instead it is about approval for behavior and gaining “normal” standing in society. Our legal system already guarantees ci...
Report: Obviously agenda-driven 'study' designed to undermine sanctity of sound science
In pro-equality circles, it has been a given since day one. However, it's always nice to have more concrete effort that the far-right-beloved Regnerus study, which the anti-equality troops continue to use against us (including in the Supreme Court), was deliberately crafted by this same movement to make gay parents look deficient.
Sofia Resnick weighs in with this in-depth report:
Goal of conservative-backed parenting study was to influence SCOTUS decisions on gay marriage, docs show
New Family...
