FRC promotes NOM's #marriagemarch with truly extreme church materials
The Family Research Council is an official cosponsor of the National Organization For Marriage's upcoming march outside the Supreme Court, so it's not a surprise that FRC would want to promote the event. In this week's "prayer targets," the nakedly hostile anti-gay group is doing just that:
Prayer Targets [FRC]
But what is in those linked materials that FRC is disseminating to churches for the purpose of "marriage march" promotion, you ask? Well, my fellow friends in connecting the dots between...
AFA president claims 'common sense' tells us gays are 'immoral, unnatural and unhealthy'
These are the kind of arguments that will really be in play when the Prop 8 and (so-called) Defense Of Marriage Act cases go before the Supreme Court, even though Paul Clement and his team of lawyers will surely work to mask the real mindset that drives his side:
Personally, I hope that's the Prop 8 and DOMA defense teams' shared opening line: "Mr. Chief Justice and may it please the court: We should not normalize homosexual behavior." I'm more than confident about our odds in that, a debate w...

New Pope believes marriage equality is 'a destructive pretension against the plan of God'
"Let’s not be naive, we’re not talking about a simple political battle; it is a destructive pretension against the plan of God .. We are not talking about a mere bill, but rather a machination of the Father of Lies that seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God.”
—New Pope Jorge Bergoglio (Pope Francis), speaking about Argentina's 2010 marriage bill

NOM's Thomas Peters trying to recruit Chick-fil-A to anti-gay marriage march
Thomas, the National Organization For Marriage's Communications Director, is the main point man behind NOM's forthcoming march outside the Supreme Court. This has to be for that:

Another NOM 'Marriage March' speaker, another obvious agenda that goes beyond marriage
Tami Fitzgerald has admitted that she wants to save gay people from ourselves:
"If we truly love our brothers and sisters, we will be seeking their highest and greatest good and what is best for them, and we know that when God's word says homosexuality is an abomination that means it's not the greatest and highest good of our brothers and sisters, so we're seeking their best interest."
She also admits:
"I don't want to sanction the lifestyle or behavior with a government license"

Smite their rights: Indiana Family Institute not willing to compromise on any partnership recognition
The head of the Indiana Family Institute says he will not allow domestic partnerships or civil unions to come to his state because LGBT activists are not fit for compromise (or any rights, apparently):
"Support for creating special rights based on sexual preferences of any kind is a gift in the Left’s war on marriage. You cannot be pro-“civil unions” and pro-marriage. If marriage is to be protected, creating these sorts of legal structures meant for compromise with “GLBT” activists must be a...
Video: Rep. Jeanne Ives (R-Wheaton) says gays have 'disordered relationships'
This is one of the people who gets to decide if gay taxpayers are equal under civil law:
Catholic Conference of Illinois Radio House: February 25, 2013 [CCI]
Somewhere in Ms. Ives' district, a scared gay child now worries and struggles just a little bit more. A real profile in courage you're weaving there, Ms. Ives.

Man who is destroying the religious right's credibility claims gays are like pedophiles; says neither can marry
The American Family Association's most visible face and voice continues to make other conservatives smack their foreheads in frustration:
Here's the thing: I know it's easy to write off Bryan as disconnected from the larger conservative movement. Only problem? He's so not. Bryan's conserva-popular show (Fox News' Todd Starnes has heaped much praise on it) is on AFA Radio, routinely playing host to guests like Sen. Rand Paul. Bryan's AFA show is just an hour before Tony Perkins' own AFA Radio s...
JetBlue onboard with marriage equality; no layover
Give me inflight TV and WiFI, a blankie, and either a virgin or an adult Bloody Mary (dependent on daypart), and I'm pretty good. However, it is nice to know that one airline is willing to offer the weary gay traveller oh so much more, should the need arise:
When our Inflight crew members Nickeloa, Virginia and Daniel heard that an engaged couple was on board their recent BUR-JFK flight—en route to City Hall in NYC for their wedding— they got ridiculously excited to make the flight special for...

Audio: IL robocalls shame lawmakers for embracing history's right side
Both of these come from a local organization called Family PAC, but they are from that same book of myopic shaming by which the "marriage protectors" continue to threaten both moderate candidates and the sustainability of their own chosen party:
"The homosexual money"? I love it! I'm so going to use that! I'm going to be all like, "Why yes, cashier, I would like to pay for my smoothie. Do you accept homosexual money at this establishment? Because that's all I have—homosexual money. Oh no, wait...
