Audio: Yes, @RyanT_Anderson, your anti-gay 'moral convictions' absolutely matter
On last night's edition of John Stossel's Fox Business show, unmarried marriage "expert" Ryan Anderson (of Heritage Foundation) yet again instructed the uninformed dolts of American on the proper way we must love and marry and raise families in this country. But that part was just sort of whatever. I mean, it's what Ryan does for a living. It's the gig he has chosen. I don't accept anything other than his unique blend of cockiness and Catholicism.
But this part really annoyed me. Listen to the...

Riiiiight, Tony. Because we don't celebrate heterosexuality. Mmm hmm. Sure, Mr. Disingenuity-as-Daily-Defintive
Exceedingly anti-gay Family Research Council president Tony Perkins doesn't want us recognizing places significant to LGBT rights:
If you're looking for a monument to political correctness, try the National Park Service. Hello, I'm Tony Perkins with the Family Research Council in Washington. When people say homosexuals have made landmark changes to America, they mean it. Under a new government project, the Interior Department will be going out of its way to introduce new gay, lesbian, and tran...
Bishop Salvatore Cordileone determined to define Catholic church by who, what it's against
Just days before he is scheduled to be one of the star speakers at the National Organization For Marriage's pro-discrimination march in the nation's capitol, Salvatore Cordileone is continuing to persuade his canonical colleagues that the political fight against same-sex couples' *CIVIL* marriages is the modern Catholic Church's top interest:
NEW ORLEANS, LA, June 11, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Much of the opening day of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops 2014 Spring General Assembly on We...
Some sweet #Loving for your #ThrowBackThursday
On this day forty-seven years ago:
Loving v. Virginia
June 12, 1967
[Cornell Law]
Of course modern courts deciding on marriage equality laws on the basis of gender/ sexual orientation discrimination regularly cite Loving, just as the late Mildred Loving wanted. Do some opponents disagree with her view? Yup. What else is new?

Video: 'Duck Dynasty' producer makes excuses for Phil Robertson and his anti-gay views
Making a distinction between how he acts and the truly heinous things that he said (and has said several times before and since), blaming a lack of media training for his frankness, and doing that very tried-and-tired tactic of knocking media outlets for supposedly taking comments out of context, Duck Dynasty producer Deirdre Gurney used a Hollywood Reporter reality TV roundtable to make excuses for her bankable star:
First of all, there's no other context. He thinks gay people are immoral an...
Happy Gay And/Or Alcoholic Pride Month from Gov. Rick Perry
Well of course his state party was right to add scientifically discredited "ex-gay" therapy to its official party platform, says the conservative governor of Texas. After all, we have AA programs, so what's the big deal?
"Whether or not you feel compelled to follow a particular lifestyle or not, you have the ability to decide not to do that," Perry said. "I may have the genetic coding that I'm inclined to be an alcoholic, but I have the desire not to do that, and I look at the homosexual issue...

Audio: Mat Staver 'explains' to Rep. Jerry Nadler why his version of discrimination is somehow different
Rep. Jerry Nadler supports (true) religious freedom and he also supports nondiscrimination laws. Mat Staver doesn't care for LGBT people.
Today, at a House Subcommittee hearing at which animus apparently qualifies as expertise, the gentleman from New York accurately noted all kinds of other examples that are directly comparable to discriminating against a same-sex couple while the anti-gay attorney from Virginia dodged and weaved so that he wouldn't have to admit that the only difference is hi...

Life after Westboro: Libby Phelps Alvarez poses for 'No H8'
Lauren Drain, whose family moved into the notorious Westboro Baptist Church when she was a kid, posed for a picture last year. But as far as I know, Libby Phelps Alvarez has just become the first of Fred Phelps' grandchildren (many of whom have fled the church of their youth) to pose for a "No H8" pic:
[SOURCE]
In a weird way, I feel like the Phelps grandkids are part of my younger years. They used to condemn me, personally and viciously. Now I chat with several of them, happily and easily. It'...
